Are you nursing the babies? I had an infection while nursing my youngest and as I remember (he is now 13 years old), you need to make sure to keep the milk flowing....pump that breast every few hours and nurse off the other side until it feels less sore. The antibiotics should take care of it I would imaging. If you can call a nurse hotline, or speak to a nurse at the hospital it would probably be a good idea!

I was just thinking this morning that you sound a little like my GP. While my GP says everything is stress-related, with you, it is responsibility-related.
It's interesting how I seem to complicate even the most basic thing(s).
It was just an observation. Something which says more about me than anything else. Other than being guided, by others, towards principles that may elicit change.
Do you think me seeing my GP weekly is excessive?
How do people/ patients learn to take responsibility for themselves (and their thoughts, feelings and behaviors)?
Responsibility can feel like an elusive trait/ characteristic.
Is responsibility also just a name? Can we ?obtain/ achieve it by accepting and confronting reality?
Emotional eating and mental health issues all come back to taking responsibility, don't they?

I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

I really thought I felt better when I was getting the shots. The Rocephin interrupted the course of Augmentin, so I finished the Augmentin after the shots were complete. I think I finished the Augmentin on a Friday, and that Saturday I had virtually no symptoms at all. Sunday they returned and have been bothering since.

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
On the subject of personal responsibility, do you believe that if a person is feeling suicidal that that is their sole responsibility? I'm feeling confused about a lot of things. I just don't want to make a mistake because I don't understand.
Is this manageable alone if I concentrate on reality? The reality where things unfold naturally. Is working through my emotional eating issues enough for now?

anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I am male, and in relatively good shape. bp has been in the 140/70 range for three days. odd stuff. Ive usually had plain ole amoxicillin, but this stuff takes the cake.

I got the augmentin 400-57 suspension on Saturday afternoon. It is now Tuesday evening. It has been at room temp this entire time. How critical is refrigeration?

so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. My Dr has treated me with Metronidazole- brand name used was flagyl Nylstatin for yeast, clamycin,spandnox (for yeast), and recently had some relief with Augmentin(which was prescribed for a chest infection). When i was on augmentin all the above symptoms went away however came back 1 or 2 days after i came off the anti biotic.
Treated with Omnicef, Augmentin, Cliacin, Rocephin Shots, Bactrim, etc. Also on Claritin/Singulair at 10 months for sinus/allergy issues.
-Myringotomy at 12 months, with 10 day run of Augmentin and 6 day run of antibiotic ear-drops post-op.
-2 subsequent ear infections from 12-16 months. Treated with Augmentin, Bactrim. Still on Claritin/Singulair for sinus/allergy issues.
-Second myringotomy and adenoidectomy at 16 months. Very infected sinus cavities and ears.
was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me.
Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. Please, i'm hoping someone can answer this. For the past 5 years, my enzymes have been tested 2x a year by by cardiologist as routine - they have always been perfect. So, they have been perfect for 10 tests! Now my ast is 74 - I think alt was normal. What is going on ? Could i have hep c and they've been normal for ten tests and now show up? (. Although it could be from the augmentin I am taking right now ( it is my 6th day of taking augmentin). I have a bacterial infection in my throat and the doctor prescribed me this. The mouth sores appread 2 to 3 days after I started taking my medication. I read that augmentin does cause mouth sores. It's one of it's may side effects. But I am worried still.
I have a 3-4 week old puppy that has swelling on her neck and left side of jaw it is hard around the swelling area.she is breathing ok,nursing well and she cries when i touch it...i wanted to know if any one has any ideas to help the swelling go down.if you May know what this could be pls be free to comment...i do not have enough money for the vet right now but im working on it .....i am hoping it's just an ant bite or something but I'm wondering why is it so big..the skin is tight....
m in treatment and working in a position of some responsibility (not in the medical field) in a small town. I wanted to keep my dx and tx to myself but it didn't work out that way. Because the information is out there I quit trying to hide it. If someone asks me anything I answer. If it's how are you I answer that I'm still putting one foot in front of the other and change the subject.
