I have been put on three courses of antibiotics (augmentin, klacid and sodium chloride 0.9%), the third which is due to finish tomorrow and although it has eases slightly, the sore throat is still there. Furthermore, I have started to develop a migraine on my left side also which is constant over the past few days. At week 3.5 I went to have a full STI and HIV test done, the results which are due in two days and I will also have another HIV test tomorrow (week 5.5).
I'm taking Klacid 500 for a sinus infection but I notice the expiry date on the pack is June 08. Is it still ok to keep taking it?
on the middle of september I had bronchitis and received a treatment with klacid..than next month I had another bronchitis and received a treatment with klacid again and the doctor told me I had a beginning of sinusitis and gave azithromycin..on the end of november I saw little bumps at the base of my penis..after I had shaved than it spread to about 20-25 pieces on the groin...
And i was diagnosed with gonorrhea, in which i was given klacid after which i went for test and it was negative for both gonorrhea/chlamyia but i still see some discharge after i milk my penis though not white but transparent fluid.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

I was put on Klacid on the Monday and I went back myself on the wednesday morning to the doctor, panicking if Im honest because I felt there was no improvement. He then put me on Flagyl alongside the Klacid and said if it doesnt clear we will then do a Herpes check but my doctors words were " I do NOT believe or think this is Genital Herpes". It all cleared.

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I am male, and in relatively good shape. bp has been in the 140/70 range for three days. odd stuff. Ive usually had plain ole amoxicillin, but this stuff takes the cake.

I got the augmentin 400-57 suspension on Saturday afternoon. It is now Tuesday evening. It has been at room temp this entire time. How critical is refrigeration?
1) although not preferred, will the Augmentin regimen clear me of anything?
2) how soon could I be accurately tested for STD's?
so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. Now the tests are all negative but considering the window period for some STD, should I finish taking Augmentin as a precaution to get rid of the possible infection? Thank you.
s foliculitis from waxing. He put me on klacid. 48 hours later I went back in a panic and he put me on flagyl. It all cleared within about 4 days. With my septic throat I had what looks like a cold sore on my lip and chin. My boyfriend gave me oral sex so I was wondering if that was how the folliculitis spread??? I'm very run down but have NEVER experienced this before down below.
My Dr has treated me with Metronidazole- brand name used was flagyl Nylstatin for yeast, clamycin,spandnox (for yeast), and recently had some relief with Augmentin(which was prescribed for a chest infection). When i was on augmentin all the above symptoms went away however came back 1 or 2 days after i came off the anti biotic.
Treated with Omnicef, Augmentin, Cliacin, Rocephin Shots, Bactrim, etc. Also on Claritin/Singulair at 10 months for sinus/allergy issues.
-Myringotomy at 12 months, with 10 day run of Augmentin and 6 day run of antibiotic ear-drops post-op.
-2 subsequent ear infections from 12-16 months. Treated with Augmentin, Bactrim. Still on Claritin/Singulair for sinus/allergy issues.
-Second myringotomy and adenoidectomy at 16 months. Very infected sinus cavities and ears.
was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me.
Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this today, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
Please, i'm hoping someone can answer this. For the past 5 years, my enzymes have been tested 2x a year by by cardiologist as routine - they have always been perfect. So, they have been perfect for 10 tests! Now my ast is 74 - I think alt was normal. What is going on ? Could i have hep c and they've been normal for ten tests and now show up? I was on a lot of meds the month prior - augmentin, senna, tylenol, etc. Please rspond if you can?!
(. Although it could be from the augmentin I am taking right now ( it is my 6th day of taking augmentin). I have a bacterial infection in my throat and the doctor prescribed me this. The mouth sores appread 2 to 3 days after I started taking my medication. I read that augmentin does cause mouth sores. It's one of it's may side effects. But I am worried still.
