m wondering if maybe I should try it again in conjunction with the Augmentin, since it may now have a better chance of working since the 2 teeth were pulled and the bone cleaned out.
My oral surgeon would like to try me on clindamycin again, but my infectious disease doctor says the Augmentin should be fighting all of the bacteria. But it doesn't feel like it is at all, the infection has been getting worse for the past 3 or 4 days.

so he administered a series of drugs. started with 1g zithromax, then 200mg of doxycycline per day for a week and also flagyl 600mg per day for a week. After that i went back and there was no sign of getting better, so he administered 2g of Augmentin a day for one week. It would be my one week on Augmentin tomorrow, but the joint pain still persist and the redness from the hives still did not resolve completely.

My Dr has treated me with Metronidazole- brand name used was flagyl Nylstatin for yeast, clamycin,spandnox (for yeast), and recently had some relief with Augmentin(which was prescribed for a chest infection). When i was on augmentin all the above symptoms went away however came back 1 or 2 days after i came off the anti biotic.
the doctor gave me 1 gram of zithromax and 1 week of doxycycline 200mg per day, and 1 week of flagyl 600mg per day. the followed by 1 week of augmntin 2g per day to cure the haemophilus parainfluenze. My question is it is a month already and the redness still did not go away completely and my muscles still ache and my temperature is still at 37.2 to 37.3 C. Could this be a sign of HIV? or any kind of STD at all?
They did a swab and she said she did she a few clue cells, but everything looked normal. She wented ahead and gave me Flagyl for Bacterial vaginosis and Diflucan to take after finishing the Flagyl. I have taken four full days of Flagyl and I still have the burning occasionally. Which this whole time the burning has only been random. I alway have a weird discharge with no odor, but a watery mucus that is around the urethra which I don't think it is coming from the urethra.
the public hospital docs kept insisting i was fine so i went to a specialist and they ordered a semen test. I am currently on augmentin. the doc says it would work, my symptoms still linger after 8 days. i took doxy previously for a month, had partial relief. i have taken doxy, ofloxacin, erithromycin, azithromycin, rocephin, ciprofloxacin for intermittently for the past 8 years.

it was back and this time it went straight to dry inflamed mode. Augmentin did not help. In fact from all the augmentin I got yeast and/or BV. I was given flagyl which worked for 2 weeks then it all came back with a vengeance. I didn't just have vaginal inflammation but ulcerated sores in my rectum as well. I'm still suffering from that as medications didn't make it completely go away.
I was diagnosed and treated for diverticulitis 12/31/12 with flagyl and augmentin. By mid-January I became much more ill with significant diarhhea, nausea, fever, and left lower quadrant pain. I was negative for c-diff 1/12/13 but tested positive 16 days later. I was prescribed a 14 day course of vancomycin. I have been taking florastor for weeks to hasten return of normal flora. Even after treatment diarhhea has been evident with extreme nausea on some days, and painful abdominal spasms.
ve been on a rollercoaster of antibiotics prescribed by an infectious disease doctor. Augmentin 875/125 2x daily made my hands and abdomen swell very badly and didn't seem to fight the infection that well, but it was also before the 2nd tooth was removed. I was given Augmentin a 2nd time paired with Levaquin 500s, which seemed to work on the infection together, but I swelled up again, and my blood pressure which is normally 130 was 185.
so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. Now the tests are all negative but considering the window period for some STD, should I finish taking Augmentin as a precaution to get rid of the possible infection? Thank you.
Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this today, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

I was prescribed four azithromycin pills (which i took that night) and 500mg flagyl twice a day for seven days, which i started on Thursday. Since beginning the antibiotics, I have been experiencing white discharge that I was not having prior to taking flagyl. It is very different than a yeast infection. (I am also on flucan to prevent a yeast infection.) It is creamy and sort of sticky. What is this new discharge? Is it my body trying to get rid of the infection? Am the BV resistant to flagyl?
It is highly likely that Augmentin in the dose and duration I just recommended would abort incubating gonorrhea -- which almost certainly you didn't catch anyway. You can safely take the drug then continue unprotected sex with your wife.
The problem here isn't just STD; you apparently are reacting emotionally to the sexual event, perhaps conflicted about your own sexual orientation or preferences. But this isn't a counseling service, so that will be all for this thread.
was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me.
Augmentin will affect your pill. The other one I do not know about. It probably takes a couple of days for the antiboitics to get out of your system. You might wanna use a second form of protection just in case.
I took 2 doses and broke out in a rash all over and had to stop the anti. I called Dr. back and they said to wait and see if it gets worse. It seemed a little better and I saw this person 2 more times in the same month. The day after the 3rd visit i woke up in excruciating pain and could hardly walk. I felt like i had to urinate and it was so very difficult i almost passed out from the pain. What did come out was large chunks of fleshy blood enough to fill a cup and globs of white mucous.
