Avatar m tn Atripla is not a good choice then.
Avatar f tn I never had major bad side effects on it. I did have some crazy dreams and still do. After I was on it for a couple years, things began to slowly deteriorate. I began getting panic attacks, and bouts of tachycardia and palpitations. I had a history of those but it seemed to get worse. I also noticed problems sleeping, which I still have, and just this jittery feeling that never seems to go away.
Avatar m tn If your on PEP. Please work with the doctor who prescribed it. Side effects and all. And additional testing after. That is the best option right now.
Avatar n tn I was the top and entered him (with lubrication) for approximately one minute (tops--probably more like 15 seconds). We stopped, but then later, I re-entered him (no lubrication) for approximately one more minute before stopping. I did not ejaculate in him. I happened to see my doctor two days later for a regular appt. and he asked (as he always does) about my sexual activity.
Avatar n tn This should be immediately discussed by a doctor where he shall assess the risk and run a few tests for liver and kidney functions before he takes your pills.

Avatar f tn Do the new drugs come with their own side effects besides the ones that soc come with? Not sure if I asked that right, I'm still waiting for everything to come together but if the new meds come with even worse side effects than one might already get maybe that's another reason to treat now.
Avatar n tn I spoke to a specialty pharmacist, who agreed with my doctor that the side effects are normal, but will dissipate after my body adjust to the meds. It seems as though, that everyone else on this forum has no side effects or very few with this combination? I just wondered if anyone had any experience similar to mine?
Avatar m tn I had neuro syphilis (rash, lost some hearing stage 2 i believe it was) about 2 years ago and went on atripla at that time. There was a few months (from December 2012 until about June 2013) i was off the meds due to my insurance/cost etc. Back in October 2012 i had all my blood was negative for syphilis and all numbers were great.
Avatar m tn Eu tive relações com um homem e o preservativo estourou no inicio, sexo vaginal,eu me desesperei e não continuei a relação,o problema é que eu esqueci um o.
Avatar f tn sorry to hear your hubby is having a hard time. sounds like he is having some of the common side effects. There is nothing that can boost platlets but many docs let them go really low before lowering or stopping the meds. Try and get back on the full strength of interferon ASAP! Probably the most common side effect is the itching. I have it as well and it is horrible. I have found some relief with a prescription med called Atarax.

Avatar f tn s office and asked about these symptoms, the nurse stated the doctor said these were not normal side effects. How do I get my Oncologist to see that I am having these problems and to treat them?
Avatar n tn They want him to begin Atripla right now while his CD4s are still so high. I just wanted to know, what is your opinion on this? Do you know if the side effects of Atripla are too great for him to begin so soon? Thanks for your time. Anyone else who has knowledge on this it would be greatly appreciated, and if I need to post in a different forum, sorry. I will.
Avatar m tn I AM CURRENTLY TAKING ATRIPLA WHICH IS JUT ONE PILL AT BEDTIME AND WITH NO SIDE EFFECTS FROM THE MEDICINE IS VERY COOL. ONCE YOUR VIRAL LOAD GOES BELOW 50 IT BECOMES UNDETECTABLE. WHICH IS WHERE YOUR ID DOCTOR WANTS YOU TO BE IF YOU HAVE ONE TEAK IS RIGHT YOU NEED TO GET AN ID DOCTOR. THEY WILL KNOW MORE ABOUT HOW TO TREAT YOU.
Avatar m tn I am taking Truvada also and Raltagravir. I asked my doctor whether I should change to Atripla but he said Raltagravir has the least side effects. However after 8 years i had two bouts of slight night sweats and am wondering what this means. What is ur CD like? Perhaps checking that may help clarify you anxieties or changing your boosters to Raltagrair might make a difference.

337492 tn?1212458836 I am starting to feel better, but I am having side effects. I have been on the lithium for a year so I am not worried about it, but I feel jittery, am shaky, and my heart rate is staying at 100 BPM. Will this calm down as the med gets in my system? 150 mg per day taken at 75 mg x2. I just want to make sure I will be ok. I see my new doctor on Tuesday. Thanks.
