Late at night on 6/11, I had brief unprotected insertive vaginal intercourse with a 22 year old CSW (stripper in Vegas) of unknown risk. I've read on this site that very few CSWs in North America are HIV positive, but she was Asian (she said Japanese, but I don't really know) with a pretty thick accent, so I don't know how long she has been in this country.
The potential exposure lasted no longer than 30 seconds and there was no ejaculation.
Before recieving the results, I took an expired home test that came up positive. I took that to a specialist who saw the test, looked me over and gave me Atripla to start to be safe. She also sent me off for more tests, elisa and others. I also now took a PCR DNA thats not back yet. I went to a free clinic that gave me a rapid test that came up negative. I am wondering if four days now of Atripla could cause that to be negative?
I had neuro syphilis (rash, lost some hearing stage 2 i believe it was) about 2 years ago and went on atripla at that time. There was a few months (from December 2012 until about June 2013) i was off the meds due to my insurance/cost etc. Back in October 2012 i had all my blood was negative for syphilis and all numbers were great.
nPEP success rate is 86% apx.
Basically, my question is, do I assume that he is positive if he has been prescribed Atripla? Or is it a possibility that he may be taking it because he could have been exposed, to keep him from getting it?
Regardless, he has never said anything to me about this and since I assumed we are monogamous we have had unprotected sex regularly for almost 2 years. I love him, but I feel betrayed and I am extremely angry and hurt.

did Atripla can delay the seroconversion since i took it during 11 days.
I started meds fairly soon after. I started Atripla in 2010. It got be undetectable quickly and has kept that way. I never had major bad side effects on it. I did have some crazy dreams and still do. After I was on it for a couple years, things began to slowly deteriorate. I began getting panic attacks, and bouts of tachycardia and palpitations. I had a history of those but it seemed to get worse.

Hello. My boyfriend is HIV positive and I'm negative. He likes to rub his penis between my but. Normally he doesn't have precum, but this time he did. From what I've read so far that's not a huge issue, but I'm also just now getting over HPV down there and sometimes it bleeds. How much is his precum coming into contact with anal HPV a risk? Should I seek pep?
My partner was exposed to hiv during anal intercourse and is currently taking my Atripla. I am undetectable. Should we continue the Atripla or should he be on nPEP at all ??
My husband was diagnosed in dec after a 5day stay in hospital discharged as neg but tild to call doc in 3days some blood work was not ready. Ehen we called they told him to go seea doc they started him on atripla. He is doing fine but he says he is neg the test r wrong. I don't want to sound stupid but since I am still neg I recently started to wonder if he is right.
I am a gay male who is HIV- (one previous partner in last 6 months [3 months ago] tested negative 3 days ago). I began dating a guy a couple weeks ago and early this week, we were foolish and began having unprotected anal intercourse. I was the top and entered him (with lubrication) for approximately one minute (tops--probably more like 15 seconds). We stopped, but then later, I re-entered him (no lubrication) for approximately one more minute before stopping. I did not ejaculate in him.
After which, we went to go get tested for safety measures and it was discovered that she was HIV positive and I was negative. She was completely blind sided and devastated. I went onto PEP (Atripla) within 5 hrs and completed the 30 day course of PEP. It is currently 11 weeks post PEP. I went for an hiv rapid prick test at 6,7,8 and 11 weeks post PEP and all have been negative. Can I confidently put this episode and anxiety behind me? Im going for the 12 week test at the end of this week.
I had protected anal sex 3 days ago with a guy who claims to be clean. The following day I went to the doctor and told him that the guy gave a blowjob without me having a condom on my penis. I'm so worried about HIV that I asked the doctor for PEP and he gave me Atripla for 30 days. I'm so scared! I keep reading that it's a low risk almost zero to get HIV from getting a blow job. Is this still true?
s risk of contracting HIV, but I had a question that I really wanted your opinion on. My friend was diagnosed positive about 3 months ago. He had all his bloodwork done, and his viral load is 10000 but his CD4 count is still 656, which his ID doc told him was excellent. In your opinion, is is better to wait to start meds until there is a significant decline in his CD4 cells, or is it best to start right away to better the chance that they won't ever drop below 200?
Started PEP about 64 hours later - which was Tribuss, a generic of Atripla. The source person tested positive when i asked her to test.
On the 15th of June - 10 days on PEP, i had unprotected sex with my girlfriend. She had some flu illness around the 27th of June.
I tested negetive immediately after PEP. I tested negetive again 17 and 33 days after PEP. I did another test 9 weeks after PEP - also negetive.
