Common Questions and Answers about Atripla and recreational drugs

atripla

Avatar n tn So you can see i have not committed any crime by consumeing recreational drugs, and even if it was illegal to consume drugs all the circumstantial evidence in the world will not get a conviction in our courts without some sort of hard evidence. Therefore ending up behind bars is not a concearn for me, nice rhetoric though as fictional as it was.
Avatar n tn t think many people are stupid like me and forget their PEP ) so do u think it will still work and give the same results?! and would the drugs have any chemical interaction effect? i'm due to take Atripla in 3 hours ...
181575 tn?1250198786 Atripla is a drug used to treat HIV. It actually consists of 3 drugs, emtricitabine and tenofovir (which also works against HBV) and efavirenz (doesn't work against HBV). Combination treatment is common practice for HIV so they combine multiple drugs into 1 pill. Of course Atripla is NOT an FDA approved therapy for HBV. Sometime in the future when the standard practice is combo treatment for HBV, they will combine entecavir and tenofovir into 1 pill and call it XcalibR 300.
Avatar m tn They are unsure why I have bone loss. I was wondering if it is related to these drugs. Seeking experiences from others on these drugs.
Avatar m tn These include the meds that make up Truvada — Emtriva and Viread — and other meds that contain them, such as Atripla, Complera, and Stribild. You also shouldn’t take Truvada with drugs containing lamivudine, an HIV drug marketed under the brand name Epivir. If you’re HIV-negative, you’re most likely not taking these, but you should have the information.
Avatar m tn Atripla is not a good choice then.
Avatar n tn Will he have any physical adverse reaction from taking these drugs and also taking Wekbutrin? Well, maybe and maybe not, but he will most likely have some mental adverse reactions by mixing all of them together. It's just a matter of how long and when.
1012649 tn?1256229718 Ya, I thought the same, even the nurse said the same thing, but he wanted to see if I became resistant to anyone of the ingredients in atripla...but today I went back to the clinic and my viral load is back to being undectable, and this was before I started to use sustiva and truvada, so it was only just a BLIP!!! The doc did say he will put be back on Atripla...buthave to finish these tabs first.
Avatar f tn I am reading scary stuff that hiv could be resistant to are drugs. Is it possible that the hiv strain could be resistant to all 3 components of atripla rendering it useless? Two components are the same as truvada.

Avatar m tn I'm aware that those are also known causes, but we were eating dinner and though he was "slow to process", there were no other associated symptoms. when confronted he blamed "coming off lexapro", but i am rather skeptical. Indeed, the use of "recreational" with drugs, is in fact a cop out, but not mine; it's rampant in the literature. this man is a know drug abuser and addict.
Avatar m tn Some feedback on the side effects you guys have experienced with both Atripla and the Truvada, Norvir and Rayotaz combo would be much appreciated. One of my fears of this combo is sunken cheeks or the "sick look". Any benefits experienced and or advice would also be greatly appreciated.

Avatar f tn I switched a couple years ago to Complera for a brief period that gave me severe depression and worse anxiety so had to stop it too and go back to Atripla. Now I am on beta blockers for the tachycardia, Xanax to help sleep, and Cialis because of the effect the beta blockers have on libido. And I still feel lousy. My labs are good but shouldn't I just switch meds could all this be due to the Atripla?
Avatar m tn I started her with a drug called ATRIPLA about 50 hours after exposure. What are her chances of getting infected for HIV and how effective is Atripla in Preventing it?? What is the success rate of ATRIPLA??
Avatar n tn I took that to a specialist who saw the test, looked me over and gave me Atripla to start to be safe. She also sent me off for more tests, elisa and others. I also now took a PCR DNA thats not back yet. I went to a free clinic that gave me a rapid test that came up negative. I am wondering if four days now of Atripla could cause that to be negative? I am wondering if Atripla after four days will make my DNA PCR test invalid?
Avatar m tn Also what about my risk for having contracted HSV2 and what should I do in terms of testing for that? Could the Atripla confound that testing? Thank you very much.
Avatar m tn s marijuana use is not deemed excessive and does not interfere with daily function, subject must be instructed to discontinue any current use of recreational marijuana prior to entry into study and throughout the study period

Avatar n tn If these are the levels six to eight hours after ingesting, how much (approximately) would have been originally been ingested (40 mg, 80 mg, 240 mg etc)? Also, how would the other drugs interact with methodone at this level and the original level (approx). To my untrained eye, these levels look relativley small. Also, is there a way to tell (by examination or labs done by a physician) of someone is a recreational user of any of the above drugs vs addiction or long time user?
Avatar f tn First of all, welcome to the forums. Please know that you've come to the right place to find answers when it comes to your recovery and defeating what we all know as addiction. If you don't mind me asking though, do you truly wish to get off these pills, and is there a reason why you're taking anything you can get your hands on right now?
