Common Questions and Answers about Astelin and astepro

astelin

Avatar f tn m on Zyrtec, Singulair, Benadryl, Advair, Flonase, Astelin, Mucinex and STILL have drainage and chest/nasal congestion. Feeling rundown and tired and want to get over this. This is the second time I've been through somethine like this in 2011. Any advice would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn Some wines and beers are fine, hard liquor is fine. My mouth and lips would swell, my nose would get congested and start running, and my stomach would feel uncomfortable; occasionally it would trigger what I've always thought was a hiatal hernia attack (intense pain in the middle of the chest that comes in waves, unable to swallow anything, belching).
Avatar f tn She said that I have fluid built up behind my ears but no sign of infection. Now, she prescribed steroids (Medrol Dosepack 4 mg) to take for the next 6 days and Astelin nasal spray. She wants to refer me to an ENT if this hasn't helped in 2 weeks. What is going to happen from there? Why am I having these issues? I'm getting really frustrated by this and I'm tired of dealing with it. This has been ongoing for over 4 months now!
Avatar n tn s flonase spray and Astepro, spray ?? 15%.
Avatar f tn I have taken Astelin before being cured of hepatitis C. Astelin doesn't produce serious side effects like you are claiming. Your symptoms maybe connected to hepatitis C but very much doubt it's connect to Astelin and Hepatitis C. Regardless, I can tell you that I experience nothing like what you are suggesting while taking Astelin.
1687346 tn?1305586491 Some other things you may want to try are sinus rinses, a pulmacort sinus rinse instead of the Nasonex, and Patanase instead of the Astepro. Astepro really stuffed me up while I was on it. Patanase works much better for me. You may also want to see an allergist for testing and possible shots. I was going to ask how old you are, but I will refrain.
Avatar m tn Suggestion of the two things I have mentioned can; not saying they WILL. I would try them in combination.
Avatar f tn I have been on many type of antibiotics, use a saline rinse 2-3 times a day, take Nasonex, Astepro, Xyzal, Singulair and headache medicine. Some days are better than other but most days are constant pain, numbness, throbbing. A cat scan showed fluid in maxillary sinuses and some ethnoid sinusitus but my ENT surgeon shows no infection and is now considering a tubinate "snip" as he calls it to because my left turbinate is a bit large.
Avatar n tn A quick trip to the doctor and I was told that I had some kind of nasty allergic reaction which clogged my sinuses, gave me a post nasal drip which in turn caused the sore throat and asthma to act up. She prescribed Astelin, a nasal spray antihistamine and described the allergic reaction as a sort of systemic thing and that the astelin should clear it all up. That was Wednesday. I've been using it as told since then and I've only really noticed a very very slight improvement.
612551 tn?1450022175 My personal interest in this Community is my chronic night time (sleep time) nasal congestion. I have tried the generic for Flonase (fluticasone) which didn't help much, not ow Astepro (not a steroid) which is a little more help, but none are as good as the over the counter Afrin (or similar) which can not be used for long periods. This congestion led me to recognize I have some trouble waking up with a suffocation sensession. .
Avatar n tn (i first came up with this because i also took astelin and that produced similar bronchospasms...now i see that astelin has BAC in common with combivent and albuterol, etc.). now my internist has order a blood sugar test and an eye test....so i'm really getting worried. thanks for your help.
Avatar f tn I take zyrtec, singulair, flonase and astepro for the allergies and sinus. My ENT is stumped. How can I get my taste and smell back?
Avatar f tn I had been working on a new project and was really motivated, enjoying myself. Anxiety was the last thing on my mind and I was completely caught up in what I was doing. Then, some time in the late afternoon, I began experiencing this sudden feeling/sensation in my head. It felt like severe brain fog, pressure, a fullness in my head. Almost like a burning sensation at times. It's very difficult to describe.
Avatar n tn I have had post nasal drip as long as I can remember. I am a 52 yr old mail, 5'9", 195lbs. My PND gummed up the back of my throat enough in July of this year to wake me everytime I nod off. I am now on sleep medication, clonazepam, Lunesta, now but which is barely working, Atavan is better and I can sleep but sedatives cannot be taken forever and this PND doesn't seem to be going away.
1232362 tn?1333135406 re trying neo/poly/hc 1% otic. i started this 8/10. the pain never really cleared up and the day before i went back to the dr and got script for ear drops it was qute severe. she said she saw fluid in both ears but not enough to warrant the pain i felt and if the drops don't correct i may have to see an ent specialist and may require tubes. what is this procedure? I'm 46 and have never had a problem w/my ears before! i have no fluid coming out of them, have some slight dizziness.
Avatar n tn s house . I have experiences this in Gegoria, Alaska, Ohio, and Mass. It only comes at night and is so sweet it wakes me up and makes me sick to my stomach. What is going on? This has been happening over a year now and i did not experience this prior.
Avatar f tn Ask you doctor about the Cymbalta one. I had one but it was only for one month. And there are really good one for Xyzal, Astepro and Omnaris. The others, I don't know. Skmedlin's advice was good.
Avatar m tn You can always be cautious and wear a mask and gloves and not pick the babies up. Your family probably needs your support and that is why they want you there. You can even go and just tell them until you know why you are sick you do not want to be around the babies. Even asking your pediatrician about your symptoms and explaining your fears may help since they know what is best for your babies. I hope you are better soon and your children are home and safe as soon as possible.
Avatar m tn Oh yes, when my sinus's get severely inflammed the pain is awful, it goes all around my eyes and down into my ears and then I am in big trouble. I get off balance and then I get nauseous, basically I'm in a state of permanent motion sickness. Its an AWFUL feeling for sure. I've tried all allergy meds, found that straight sudafed and advil seems to help along with antibiotics. I've had a CT scan of my sinus area and face and I have no blockages, no narrowing, nothing.
Avatar m tn Astepro nose spray, Amoxicillin, and prednisone. The prednisone has already started clearing up the redness after one dose! The nose spray is great, and the antibiotic works fine as well. I'll keep you posted on any updates.
Avatar f tn I've used several bottles, or several months, of Fluticasone Propionate, which is a steroid nasal spray... I think it is the generic of Flonase. It may be that I can't tell because I am in permanent atrial fibrillation. But I haven't identified any problems other than it doesn't help reduce my nasal congestion. I just switched to Astepro, not a steroid, and it too doesn't give my congestion much relief.
