Persantine is dipyridamole, but you will have to get extended release tablets as the two asprin and dipyridamole should not be taken together. Also, Avoid alcohol, or drink a minimal amount, as the combination of Aggrenox and alcohol could cause stomach bleeding.

Avatar m tn An Italian study found there was a 45% decrease in sudden cardiac death in patients who suffered a heart attack when taking 3 omega pills a day plus a baby aspirin. What they found was that aspirin enhances the effects of omega, in that instead of 6 pills a day to get the required amount, you only need to take 3. In Europe there are new studies starting which will evaluate the effects of aspirin because this drug doesn't seem to be having the desired effect.

BUT, in my opinion... even though the study showed it didn't help... they didn't say it hurt. there are advantages of taking aspiring BUT i would talk to your GP or OB/GYN before taking it and only take baby aspirin... if you have to. with respect to IVF and your age. don't give-up.
Avatar f tn I suffered a mild stroke (blood clot) Consultant prescribed Clopidogrel but cannot tolerate side effects. Then consultant prescribed Dipyridamole. I cannot tolerate this either. Severe headache, vomiting and diarrhoea. Has anybody got a different medication they are on?
