I might be pregnant and my psychiatrist told me not to worry about the embryo. He told me that even while I'm taking 15 mg of Aripiprazole and 50 mg of Sertraline daily, there is no danger. I'm really worried. if I'm pregnant,would these doses harm my embryo being taken daily?
My first step was to have my thyroid checked and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, once this was better thru medication, still no weight loss. I started eating every 3 hours, but healthy small amounts, and I really didn't think this would work for me, but my daughter suggested it and she's never had a weight problem is 5'5" size 2. I was amazed at how I was never hungry, never craved the sweets that I did before. I started in Jan. 09 and by June lost 46lbs.

None of the common adhd stimulant meds will cause weight gain and in fact might cause weight loss. All of these stimulant meds - when the correct dose is achieved - will limit impulsivity at school and at home. And, of course, if she starts doing better at school....her mood at home will also change.

You say you take Ativan and have since May of this year. Ativan should not cause the symptoms you're describing. The aripiprazole, (Abilify) is usally added as an adjunct to antidepressants, and some people exhibit a hypersensitivity to it.
Hi I'm on 50mg of methadone and 10mg of aripiprazole and I'm wondering if I should keep taking the 2 together as it makes me mega drowsy and also is this combination a thing to worry av about can someone let me know please?
I would try replacing the Aripiprazole (Abilify) and the Sertraline (Zoloft) by taking 25mg of 5-HTP 3x Daily for 1 week as anymore than this could induce Serotonin Syndrome. I would then recommend swapping the tablets out for a 5-HTP transdermal patch which will release a more even dose of 5-HTP throughout the day especially if you have BPD as otherwise the oral form could cause mania.

Point being is that if all he is taking now is risperdal and he is not getting a help either med wise or behavioral therapy for his ADHD - then his ADHD is probably making both his and your life pretty miserable.

question. The doctor (psychiatrist) is not treating her for "eating disorder". We needed
psychiatric help for her in 2006 when she was very depressed and showed psychotic
symptoms.

I promise you your completely fine. I'm 19 weeks haven't gained any weight. Lost weight and the baby is perfect. It didn't matter how tall or how much you weight as long as baby measures up during ultrasound it's perfectly fine.
More can be lost through water weight with diuretics and crash dieting can also increase fat loss but only for a short time. When we lose fat too fast our metabolism will slow in order to conserve fat (fuel) deposits (starvation mode) and that creates new problems such a resetting the metabolic rate and fat gains during the plateau, etc.
