Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis symptoms vary

appendicitis

Avatar n tn Yes you could have a problem with your appendix. The symtoms vary. Pain goes down as you age as well. I would get it checked by your doctor. They can sometimes tell by a couple of blood tests and palpating the area.
Avatar f tn Well, my opinon is different You don't always get the acute appendicitis sometimes it isn't as severe as this persons says. My sister in law her husbands both burst before they knew they had theirs. They had some pain and then went in. It wasn't severe. I had a fever, and nausea and some stomach pain. They took mine out when I was kid. So, I think it does vary and you should check it out. How low is the pain? Way below the belly button but just above the bikini line?
Avatar n tn There are so many things that COULD be the cause of these symptoms including a viral infection. pelvic inflammatory disease, appendicitis, ectopic pregnancy-pregnancy in the tube, endometrisos etc. You will probably need blood work and possible radiology exams to determine the cause. I recommend you seeing your doctor ASAP to get the answers you are searching for. I Hope You Feel Better Soon.
Avatar m tn Does it make sense to have classic appendicitis symptoms that go completely away for a few days at a time over a 3 month course? What has prompted my question is that I had two episodes yesterday, one in the morning and a very severe bout in the evening. I keep thinking this will just go away especially when I'm pain free and I forget about it.
Avatar m tn Not every patient presents with the classic symptoms of acute appendicitis, and chronic appendicitis can be very difficult to diagnose. Whatever it is, you need to see a doctor.
Avatar f tn He could look up the symptoms of chronic appendicitis, and see if he thinks there is a risk that is what is going on. Or he could go and get checked by a doctor.
Avatar m tn I never took the antibiotics. The next day the local GP said no appendicitis. After 15 days still the symptoms continued occasionally and a went to a Gastroenterologist who advised to take Taxim-O an antibiotic. I took it for 5 days. I took an ultrasound of the abdomen and the doctor said no appendicitis. But I pestered him with questions about my symptoms. He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness.
Avatar f tn I have all if the appendicitis symptoms ( bloating, diarrhea, constipation, severe abdominal pain followed by vomiting) but aren't these all pregnancy things to? I'm 41/2 weeks.
Avatar f tn She told me, and while I am aware symptoms vary from person to person, I noticed I had all the signs she had, expect the pain had not moved to the lower right part of my abdomen. TL;DR Basically for the past few days I have been suffering from constant, period-like cramps in my navel area (which has not spread to the lower right area of my stomach), mild fever, nausea, dizziness, and I find the pain is slightly relieved after I eat food, however certain foods can make the pain worse.
Avatar f tn when he means redness at the opening, he is saying basicly stoll can get stuck at the opening of the apendics causeing inflamation and then the stoll may release, and not harm the apendics anymore, its vary difficult to diagnose problems like that, the best thing to do is if your having alot of pain there and you cant walk, lay on your back and have someone hit the base of your foot and if you get pain in your stomach from that, there is a good chance you have appendicitis, but you would get rea
Avatar f tn According to WebMD diagnosing appendicitis can be tricky: "Symptoms of appendicitis are frequently vague or extremely similar to other ailments, including gallbladder problems, bladder or urinary tract infection, Crohn's disease, gastritis, intestinal infection, and ovary problems. The following tests are usually used to make the diagnosis.
Avatar n tn I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. I went for a consult with a general surgeon and he said he isn't 100% that's my appendix since I don't have all the acute symptoms. He said there is no such thing as chronic appendicitis and my doc says "oh yes there is". UGH...
Avatar m tn There is no test to prove chronic appendicitis. Some of the symptoms are lower right quadrant pain, sometimes it's sharp, sometimes it dull, bloating mucus in stool, pain with or after intercourse, trapped gas or stool in the appendix area will double you over. WBC's will be somewhere from 9-11, not high enough to indicate an acute form of appendicitis but a chronic form of it.
Avatar f tn Monitor your syptoms cause nausea, back pain, pain on right side and bloating r also symptoms of appendicitis. Avatar f tn I've had an appendectomy 8 months ago, but simptoms came back a month ago: pain in the right of my belly, which migrated in the LRQ after about 2 weeks, bloating, pain in the right side during bowel movements, right leg gets a little numb sometimes. Did a CT scan 1 month ago, it revealed an ovarian cyst of 3.5 cm on my right and a 5 cm one on my left. The pain on my right is persistent and the symptoms are really bad for such a small cyst.
Avatar m tn I went to get blood work done because my cousin which is a Doctor wanted to rule out an appendicitis. The WBC count came back at 10.1 where the normal range for that laboratory I believe was from 5 to 10. My cousin said that is not significant enough to point towards appendicitis. My lymphocte percentage was low at 20.3 percent, and my mean platelet volume was also low 6.8. What really has me concerned though is that my blood sed rate came back at 32mm/h which is high.
Avatar n tn Hello! I have joined this community in the hope that someone can help me! I am a female, 25 years old and I have been suffering from abdominal pain for years. The pain is usually in the right side, mid-way between my bellybutton and my hip. At times the pain is sharp and stabbing and causes me to double over in pain - I would give it a 7 out of 10 for intensity. Other times the pain on my right side is dull and aching, and sometimes this is replaced with a burning sensation.
Avatar n tn //www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/appendicitis/symptoms-causes/syc-20369543. This does not really sound like that issue though. How are you now?
Avatar m tn It can be anything in your body. Hernia symptoms vary, however most of the hernia symptoms all affect the brain and immune system to correspond and ruin the heart and crystal system. Do a specific test if you are worried.
Avatar f tn I always figured that the symptoms would appear and then the problem would occur, but I have been having these symptoms for a little less than a month, really. The thing is though I'm not sure if my symptoms are enough to match up with an appendicitis.. and it could be other things, maybe. Less severe problems. Anyway, I wanted to put this out there. It's not just the threat of an actual, serious problem, but also the discomfort. Just hope this isn't anything serious.
