appendicitis

5154898 tn?1374773319 OK, I've been worried sick since about 4 days ago. It all started when i had a muscle spasm beside my belly button (right side), it lasted a whole day. I woke up the next day with a dull pain in the same spot, nothing really painful, just enough to worry me. Now, my lower front (right side), my right side and back on the right side has been aching.
Avatar f tn You may be able to tell if it's appendicitis. Have her push on the area that hurts in her lower right. If it hurts more. It SHOULDN'T BE appendicitis. Most of the time appendicitis will find relief with pressure and (sadly) extreme pain when pressure is released. Also, I WOULD ask for an ultrasound because that's how my first ovarian cyst rupture presented!
Avatar f tn very, very swollen lymph nodes in the pelvic area (left side); nausea; loss of appetite; constipation; sharp pain in the lower, right abdominal area as well as muscle spasms; and a shooting pain down my right leg. Please, please help me.
Avatar n tn If it is appendicitis you need to be seen asap as a rupture could possibly end your life. Another very possible cause for one sided flank pain is kidney stone. While most kidney stones will pass on their own, Some can be large enough to block the flow of urine from the kidney to the ureter causing something called hudronephrosis. It's probably just best you go get checked out. Feel better soon.
Avatar f tn I was just considering that maybe this would be a symptom of appendicitis, a rupture or potential burst? I always figured that the symptoms would appear and then the problem would occur, but I have been having these symptoms for a little less than a month, really. The thing is though I'm not sure if my symptoms are enough to match up with an appendicitis.. and it could be other things, maybe. Less severe problems. Anyway, I wanted to put this out there.
Avatar n tn He needs to be checked out by a doctor ASAP to rule out appendicitis. If it turns out to be that, surgery will be needed to remove the appendix. If appendicitis is ruled out, then it could be any number of things. But please do get him checked immediately if he hasn't been already. An appendix that is infected can rupture, or break open, into the abdominal cavity - which is a serious situation (I know, because it happened to me when I was 15 years old). Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I had an ovarian cyst rupture 12 days ago. 4 days ago they thought it was appendicitis and sent me for a CT scan. It showed the ruptured cyst and blood and fluid still in my abdomen. I am still experiencing some pain, but now the majority of my pain is in my leg. Close to where it ruptured and down midways on the inside of my leg. Sometimes its sharp. But it makes my whole leg hurt. Is this normal? Is this something that will eventually stop?
Avatar n tn If you do have appendicitis (especially acute appendicitis) then if this is untreated there is a chance that the appendix will rupture causing peritonitis which is dangerous and can be life threatening. I suggest that you go quickly to your Emergency/accident department and ask them either to rule out appendicitis - or else confirm it and carry out the necessary operation.
Avatar f tn Visited UrgiCare Tuesday evening with constant pain and expanding abdomen. Dr. did CBC and urinalysis to rule out appendicitis and bladder infection. There was some blood in her urine so Dr. prescribed pain meds and dismissed us with "cramps" and a suggestion to follow-up with ped Dr. for anemia. On Wednesday Ped ordered CT with contrast of abdomen and pelvis which showed feces in the bowels and fluid in her abdomen. She prescribed milk of magnesia and a high fiber diet.
Avatar f tn Could it still be appendicitis? I have almost no pain, just a little pressure on the right side. I’m just worried of an appendix rupture.
Avatar f tn I am a 28 year old female with chronic dull aching pain in LRQ for about a week now. Was admitted to hospital on Mon released on Tuesday to rule out appendicitis...While there my WBC was high 12,500 but went back down to normal next day...Pain iS alot better but still there along with nausea and low grade fever 99.6 at highest. They said I didn't have appendicitis but I have convinced myself otherwise. I am so nervous that it's gonna rupture and I'm gonna die.
Avatar m tn Three months ago I went to my doctor because I thought I was having an appendicitis but it turns out I had a ruptured cyst on my right ovary. I had my period a couple weeks after. The doctor told me to come after two cycles but I never got my second period or my third. I am on birth control and rarely have unprotected sex but when my boyfriend and I do, he has never ejaculated in me.
Avatar m tn They performed CT scan to rule out appendicitis and discovered 4cm ovarian cyst. They did not believe this was the source of the pain though because the pain eased up but the cyst was still there. The dr did, however, think it was odd for the cyst to be present when she is due to start her period. She said cysts usually appear and/or rupture 2 weeks prior to period. Could this be the cause of abdominal pain? Is it strange that a 12 yr old would have a cyst when her period is due?

Avatar m tn Does it make sense to have classic appendicitis symptoms that go completely away for a few days at a time over a 3 month course? What has prompted my question is that I had two episodes yesterday, one in the morning and a very severe bout in the evening. I keep thinking this will just go away especially when I'm pain free and I forget about it.
Avatar n tn All the blood work came back fine and they also did ultrasounds to check her appendicitis which was fine. When pressure was applied to her back around where her kidneys are you could tell it really hurt. But according to the blood work her kidneys are fine. Also a while back they found that she had a cyst on her ovaries. They said it was kinda like having bubbles popping inside of her that would cause the pain. She may still have those but i just don't think thats what it is.
Avatar m tn I never took the antibiotics. The next day the local GP said no appendicitis. After 15 days still the symptoms continued occasionally and a went to a Gastroenterologist who advised to take Taxim-O an antibiotic. I took it for 5 days. I took an ultrasound of the abdomen and the doctor said no appendicitis. But I pestered him with questions about my symptoms. He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness.

Avatar f tn After a CT scan they determined I had appendicitis along with a mass on my ovary, which my ovary was doubled in size. They determined I had a 3cm hemorrhagic cyst with small calcium particles on my ovary. Nothing further was said or done about the cyst. The pain somewhat subsided after my appendectomy but I still have pain and I have a brownish/red discharge and I find I cant hold my bladder. Could I have a more severe condition?
