appendicitis

Avatar f tn I have all if the appendicitis symptoms ( bloating, diarrhea, constipation, severe abdominal pain followed by vomiting) but aren't these all pregnancy things to? I'm 41/2 weeks.
Avatar n tn Hi For about ten hours now, I've have a dull ache that comes and goes in my lower right abdomen. It's not currently severe, just a dull ache for about five seconds every two or so minutes, not continuous. Anybody else experience this? I read that it could be a symptom of IBS/IBD, which would make sense as I'm currently being tested for those conditions. I'm just terrified that it's early appendicitis as I've never experienced it before.
Avatar m tn Today marks the third day of what I think is InflamatoryBowel Disease, based on two important and classic symptoms -- occasional cramping plus inflamation -- both of which appear to be improving. So, as long as it seems to be improving on a day by day basis, it is my contention that I can probably handle the occurrence without medication.
Avatar f tn I always figured that the symptoms would appear and then the problem would occur, but I have been having these symptoms for a little less than a month, really. The thing is though I'm not sure if my symptoms are enough to match up with an appendicitis.. and it could be other things, maybe. Less severe problems. Anyway, I wanted to put this out there. It's not just the threat of an actual, serious problem, but also the discomfort. Just hope this isn't anything serious.
Avatar f tn I'm scared out of my mind that I have appendicitis but also I don't know whether it could be something psychological or a muscle pull. It's in my abdominal area, kind of lower but sometimes goes up and on the right hand side. I've been passing gas a bit which relieves me a bit but the achy pain is still there.
Avatar n tn About 8 months ago I experienced moderate weight gain. I had significant bloating of the stomach and had trouble wearing pants. I would have a dull ache on some occasions. Sometimes the pain felt like it spread downwards and to my back. It was like a cramp feeling. I felt very full and was always thirsty. I urinated a lot due to drinking so much water. The pains were never sharp. I looked so bloated even though my diet was regular and did not consist of too much dairy or salt.
Avatar m tn Does it make sense to have classic appendicitis symptoms that go completely away for a few days at a time over a 3 month course? What has prompted my question is that I had two episodes yesterday, one in the morning and a very severe bout in the evening. I keep thinking this will just go away especially when I'm pain free and I forget about it.
Avatar n tn Hello! I have joined this community in the hope that someone can help me! I am a female, 25 years old and I have been suffering from abdominal pain for years. The pain is usually in the right side, mid-way between my bellybutton and my hip. At times the pain is sharp and stabbing and causes me to double over in pain - I would give it a 7 out of 10 for intensity. Other times the pain on my right side is dull and aching, and sometimes this is replaced with a burning sensation.
Avatar f tn I am desperately seeking help for my symptoms. I have been out of work for over a month and don't seem to be any better. I had my appendix removed and developed a bad infection. I am being treated for the infection. At the same time as the appendicitis I went to the emergency room for kidney stones. I had lithotripsy done for that 1 week ago to remove the stone. Over the past year I have experienced the following symptoms...
Avatar m tn I never took the antibiotics. The next day the local GP said no appendicitis. After 15 days still the symptoms continued occasionally and a went to a Gastroenterologist who advised to take Taxim-O an antibiotic. I took it for 5 days. I took an ultrasound of the abdomen and the doctor said no appendicitis. But I pestered him with questions about my symptoms. He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness.
Avatar m tn I had the same problem, you need to get your appendix taken out. Chronic appendicitis has weird symptoms and a doctor will not help you. I suffered for a year and a half getting all those exact test done and came back with nothing. You need to contact a SURGEON soon.
Avatar f tn According to WebMD diagnosing appendicitis can be tricky: "Symptoms of appendicitis are frequently vague or extremely similar to other ailments, including gallbladder problems, bladder or urinary tract infection, Crohn's disease, gastritis, intestinal infection, and ovary problems. The following tests are usually used to make the diagnosis.
Avatar n tn The doctor I have been seeing is talking a lot about IBS, which I question since I appear to have none of the major symptoms (no cramps, no diarrhea, no constipation). What I do have are the symptoms I mentioned above, which have been worsening steadily of the course of the past few years, with periods of remission. I have also had episodes of severe pain in a U-shape below my bellybutton for several years, but never experienced the 'typical' migration of the pain to the RLQ until now.
1003498 tn?1263919526 I walked around with your symptoms for about ten days as well....Then I got what I would describe as deathly sick. Diagnosis...
Avatar f tn I am 26 years old and for the last 3 months just before my period i have been experiencing such bad pains mainly in my right hand side of my pelvis back and stomach, these pains are so bad i end up having loads of time off work, the pain also shoots down into my leg then causes it to be hard for me to walk, other symptoms are upset stomach just before these pains start, fatigue and depression.
Avatar n tn I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. I went for a consult with a general surgeon and he said he isn't 100% that's my appendix since I don't have all the acute symptoms. He said there is no such thing as chronic appendicitis and my doc says "oh yes there is". UGH...
9497408 tn?1404140019 On the surface, your symptoms sound like appendicitis. Your elevated temp, the referred pain, all points to that. Sometimes ultrasounds do not reveal the true issue - they are not detailed enough. Personally, I experienced appendicitis much like you are experiencing. The "twist" was I had a cyst in my intestine as well. It took surgery to locate the problem(s). No test - and I had them all - revealed the truth. Go to the hospital. They are probably thinking you are drug-seeking.
Avatar n tn I am a 45 year old male in good health. However, I have experienced pain at my navel and it projects to the lower right side of my abdomin for several days. The navel is tender to the touch. I have had a normal bowel movements. I am a heavy coffee drinker and after drinking it, I often have to go to the bathroom right away. In the past, I have had a discharge from my navel but that is not the case at this time. Also, I have had a colonoscopy that failed to find any problems.
Avatar f tn What else could it be then?
Avatar f tn He could look up the symptoms of chronic appendicitis, and see if he thinks there is a risk that is what is going on. Or he could go and get checked by a doctor.
Avatar f tn I am 16wk n 4 days also n been having the same thing today n im so worried 2 idk if thats normal :(
Avatar f tn Hello it is possible that it could be celiac disease, crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, IBS, appendicitis, or the most likely cause is gas. Most people aren't aware that laying on their right side can cause gas to build up in your colon and form a gas bubble.
