Appendicitis pain go away

Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis pain go away

appendicitis

Avatar m tn Does it make sense to have classic appendicitis symptoms that go completely away for a few days at a time over a 3 month course? What has prompted my question is that I had two episodes yesterday, one in the morning and a very severe bout in the evening. I keep thinking this will just go away especially when I'm pain free and I forget about it.
5670884 tn?1374749288 My sister had appendicitis when she was pregnant. If the pain doesn't go away after a while, look up the symptoms of appendicitis and see if that sounds possible, and if so go to the doc.
Avatar n tn Go the doctor right away, tho' I'm guessing that by the time you read this, you may already have HAD to go. What you describe could be a number of things, including pancreatitis, appendicitis, diverticulitis, ... or something else altogether. This set of symptoms doesn't seem to be the type one can afford to ignore. Pls see a doc/urgent care right away. Hope you'll write again to let us know how you're doing.
Avatar n tn When I had appendecitis I woke up in pain with a lot of abdominal pressure and was admitted for surgery that day. It felt like I was really constipated or something (sorry TMI), and was nauseous. It sounds like the pain you are having is more likely related to the pcos. I have had ovarian cysts in the past and it felt a lot like what you are describing. I'm not an expert, just my personal experience.
Avatar f tn Last night I started having a dull pain on the right side of my abdomen, across from my belly button, it went away today but came back around lunch time. It went away again and now at 2am it has come back. I pressed on my stomach a bit and it send a shooting pain through my belly button area. Its not SUPER painful, just more of a discomfort. I've also started urinating WAY more in the past hour and I'm not sure if its related but my knees began aching REALLY bad out of nowhere.
Avatar f tn Lower right quadrant abdominal pain is also a sign of appendicitis. If you are laying on your back and press on the sore spot and you get a sharp pain when you press and it even hurts as you release pressure it could be appendicitis. Your pain may be unrelated to your pregnancy. Did they rule out appendicitis or even ovarian cyst or maybe even gas?
Avatar f tn Don't want to scare you but my sister had appendicitis, the pain started off as random sperts but suddenly got worse as the appendix started to split, she was rushed into hospital and they performed an emergancy opp. Some cases heal themselves, others don't like my sister's. I would ask another doctor; if they send you home again, just watch for ANY changes and monitor your temperature, urine colour and strength of pain over the next 2-3 days.
Avatar f tn Am 21 years old, when I was 15 years old, I had appendicitis, I used some drugs prescribed by the doctor then, I didn't go through surgery. And it went away, but I noticed since then, I can't play football for a longtime, when playing or running, I will feel a very tiring ache in my stomach, which I will need to rest and fart before it would go away. I later discovered am having ulcer and I start using omeprazole to suppress it. Am confused about my whole digestive system.
Avatar m tn pain from urinary stones is like colic: comes, hold you for minutes/hours, goes away completely, and again...
Avatar f tn Hi, About a month or two ago, I believe I had strained some muscles while working out. The pain didn't happen right away maybe one or two weeks afterwards. At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am a 15 year old girl who has been dealing with stomach pain for 11 months now. In March I had created a hernia right above my belly button, and that wasn't discovered until July. I was told that the type of hernia that I had was not one that could strangulate, and if I took it easy, it would most likely heal itself. My family and I were not very worried about it.
Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.
552053 tn?1273331741 It would come and go but now it is more persistent and has not gone away for the last month or so. When i bend over it agravates it or walk ect.. there is NO bump there and my family doctor has told me that if it were something 'bad' it would have shown up by now in other organs IE if it were cancer. Now my blood test has shown elevated C-cells i belive thats what he said they were that he said may have just been me at the end of my cold.
Avatar f tn My sister told me if i had appendicitis, my pain would be getting worse cuz my aPpendix pain has been going for like 2 months now but only once the pain was severe and that was in the morning.
Avatar m tn Abdominal pain) The pain may be minor at first, but it becomes more sharp and severe. Your appetite will be reduced and you may have nausea, vomiting, and a low fever. As the swelling in the appendix increases, the pain tends to move into your right lower abdomen. It focuses right above the appendix at a place called McBurney's point. This most often occurs 12 to 24 hours after the illness starts.
7489440 tn?1442008376 Hi.....don't wait go to the ER now.....u should not wait to see if this goes away, is IBS or gets worse.... Let us know what u find out.
Avatar f tn I yelped out of pain. She said I might have appendicitis, and told us to go to the hospital to get a check up. We did, and they took blood tests and urine tests; It came out negative for appendicitis, but positive for UTI. The doctors gave me antibiotics for it, I took it religiously. Now, I still have this reoccurring pain on my stomach and abdomen area.
Avatar f tn I recommend that you see your doctor as soon as possible to rule this out or go right to the ER for evaluation. If appendicitis is ruled out, this could be anything from some constipation to a stomach virus, or even somthing like an ectopic pregnancy. This really needs to be evaluated. Good luck.
Avatar m tn How can you identify ovarian cyst pain? What is the usual size of the cyst need to undergo surgery? Describe the difference between appendicitis?
9497408 tn?1404140019 Sophie, if you have a fever and pain, there is something wrong. Please, please, go to the hospital. Go to another one if that one turned you away with such crap advice. Look up peritonitis. That is absolutely possible. Let me know what's going on with you.
Avatar f tn If you had appendicitis you'd be begging for a hospital even if you do have a high pain tolerance. I suggest you opt for one day of bed rest and apply a heating pad to the area to relieve pain. If that doesn't go away get into a doctor and see what they can do for you.
9263335 tn?1403463032 I thought lower right abdominal pain could mean appendicitis. I would go in, if it is and it bursts then that would not be good!
Avatar f tn I have no fever or anything like that, nor am I having the typical rebound pain or any pain in my right lower stomach. It seems that the pain moves when I change position if that makes sense. Usually when I sit it moves in the lower area of my belly button, and when I lay down it moves to the upper area of my belly button. My stomach is constantly making gurgling noises and it feels like there are gas bubbles inside of me. I am really, really scared that something serious is going on with me.
