Avatar n tn You could have eczema. Do you have a rash or anything on your legs you could describe? My eczema has been acting up due to dry hot weather. Scratching makes it worse or even if it is a rash or bite it makes those worse too. What does it look like? If it is eczema or a rash you may be allergic to your detergent or something else. Try using fragrance and dye free detergents and other items on your skin. Also, Eucerin , Restoraderm works well to calm down itching.
478342 tn?1241369352 My itching started about 5 years ago. I would walk to school during the winter and the longer I walked and the more my body got heated up I would start itching uncontrollably all over my body including my face. Then there would be little bumps over me that I guess are hives. This happens every winter in to the beginning of Spring. I can't workout because I can't get hot thats when I start itching and my skin gets flushed red.

Avatar m tn Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema.
Avatar n tn Putting lotion on still somewhat helps, but it doesnt stop the itching. Can someone tell me what could be going on or what I can do to help stop it? Any info is helpful, thanks.

Avatar n tn hello, i am 25 years old, and for the last 5 years my scrotum, rectum and Perineum have been itching. In the beginning it was just the scrotum, but it spreaded to other areas as well. I have been to several skin doctors who did not diagnose any rash, fungus etc'... that can cause this itch. I also went to a lab where they took a sample of my skin (from the perineum) and checked for funguses. The answer was negative.

Avatar f tn Hello, The cream that you are using is steroid cream and from the symptoms it can be eczema skin. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.
632407 tn?1263210713 For the last 4 weeks have been insanely itching all over. Its worse at night, but it gets so bad I keep waking up because of the itching. I scratch myself raw, until I bleed when I'm asleep and during the day its almost as bad. Its awful, the doctor gave me antihistamines and cream, but its not helped. I have no rash, no dry skin and no history of skin problems.

Avatar m tn I've been suffering with itching skin for about 5 months, it's so annoying. First of all it started with my hands being itchy, then my arms, torso, legs, now my feet and soles of my feet at this very moment are itching so bad. Usually when I'm itching my hands there are cracks and they can sometimes bleed. I have also noticed that my skin tingles under hot water (being a person who likes hot baths and showers).
Avatar f tn at first I could not see any type of bumps or actual visual proof of a skin rash, just lots of itching. about a week later I started noticing little bumps, almost like goose bumps, in the areas that were itching, and now they have turned into redish splotchy areas. I have had this before about 5 months ago and it lasted for about a month, then it gradually went away. I changed my clothing detergent, soap, have not used any kind of skin creams, and am not on any medication.
