Avatar f tn Hi I'm 21wks preg and suffering so bad with hayfever! Although this is my 3rd baby I cannot remember which products you can and cannot take. Can any body help?
Avatar m tn I am 7 weeks pregnant and suffer from chronic hayfever. What can i take??
Avatar f tn t be taking anything like that so i stopped my my hayfever and allergies and draining me and driving me crazy! Can i still take them or what do i do?
666921 tn?1254990618 I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it
1670226 tn?1334252274 I know it was "just a question", but we can't recommend medications or dosages. Are you on thyroid medication? The problem with some OTC meds is that they can raise blood pressure or heart rate, so might do more damage than good. You might take a look at some antihistamine products; I found a Walmart brand that's equivalent to Zyrtec, that worked for me. I'm hypo, though, so you should still try to talk to your doctor before trying an OTC.
Avatar f tn 1) a better antihistamine. Benadryl is very weak and high in side effects. Zyrtec and Allegra are both OTC and generic and work great. 2) sinus rinse!!! My all time favorite addition to my life since my allergies demanded treatment. I prefer the NielMed sinus rinse bottle (it is the only bottle available) over neti pots as you can get a slightly stronger flow to better cleanse your sinuses of debris and pollen.
Avatar f tn I am 26 weeks pregnant. I suffer asthma only when it is the hayfever period. Now I can't sleep because of it. Everytime I take a deep breath or simply breathing I can feel the tightening in the chest. Then it makes me coughs. I have taken ASMOL (the asthma pump), it doesn't help. It only last for less than an hour. And it is 2 am. I don't know what to do. Is there any other remedy to help me for now?
850029 tn?1238857820 i use 2 types of antihistamine for hayfever, i use them on alternative years - i find if i use the same one for 2 summers it does not work for the for the 3rd summer - but by alternating them i am fine.
Avatar f tn it certainly do sound similar to hayfever or some other allergy, have you tried any antihistamine tablets?
568812 tn?1379165794 Anyone know if antihistamines (spelling?) work? i have hayfever and had them for that but didnt notice if it helped with fruit.
Avatar m tn As a result I am suffering from hayfever/asthma and typically do each year from 20 October to 20 November and pretty much to those dates. At 34/63 weeks on tx it certainly is adding an extra dimension to my sx's but still upright. I have found it necessary to take 180mg of 'fexofenadine hydrochloride' an anti-hystermine I guess. I'm worried that the medication and perhaps the allergy itself may affect my UND status. Any thoughts, experiences or research would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn Omg I need help!! My hayfever is so bad I can't stop sneezing today. I know I can't take any form of tablet and the nasal spray makes me sick, Iv tried Vick in hot water to try and clear it a bit but nothing seems to be doing the trick. Anybody else suffering and how are you coping??
5665620 tn?1373911058 Not sure about natural remedies but you can get topical hayfever relief which won't pass to your baby - nasal sprays and eye drops. There are also certain allergy tablets you can take but these are generally on a case to case basis so ask your Dr which ones you can take.
Avatar f tn My mum said by that age she no longer suffered with hayfever, so does that mean that I will always suffer with hayfever?

Avatar f tn Truthfully, I do not what drugs I can take since I can have either no reaction, hives or swelling. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Any suggestions on how to deal with my allergies? I have many allergies but things have been fairly bearable until pollen season. Thanks.
Avatar n tn How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
Avatar f tn As long as you are doing this under the advise of your doctor, you are doing the right thing, in my experience. I also have hayfever this time of year and it drives me bonkers, but have you ever been prescribed an antihistamine our an OTC med for it? Keep us posted!
Avatar m tn Not a question, just wanna say something about my hayfever i get every year, this 9is the first spring ive never had any hayfever symptoms in my entire life, could it be the boceprevir?....
Avatar f tn s eyes started getting really red and watery..my 1st thought was hayfever, so i got some over the counter antihistamine (sp??) but the problem persisted..it only happened when we were outside in the sun, so i bought sunglasses and a hat for him, which he wore outside when the sun was out...i told my health visitor at his 2 yr check about his eye problem and she arranged for him to see an ophthalolgist (sp??
17644146 tn?1458782868 I contacted the company and asked them if their Clear Eyes Pure Relief Multi Symptom Preservative Free eye drops had antihistamine (which I cannot take). There answer was "4/4/2017 "We like to advise you that the product contains the following ingredients phenylephrine hydrochloride, glycerin, hypromellose, citric acid, purified water, sodium chloride, and sodium citrate. We have no indication of whether or not the product contains antihistamine.
Avatar n tn I would however love to get to the bottom of this however and would like to know if anybody recognises the symptoms and might possibly know what might be causing this. Hayfever would be an obvious answer, but if it is, it is very select. I am in the TA ( British Army Reserves ) and never have a problem during my 2 week summer camp ( June to July) while others at it suffer constantly from hayfever and other allergies. My condition only ever occurs in August to the start of September.
906115 tn?1344200509 You may have also heard of Bendectin (which combines an antihistamine with vitamin B6). This drug was once widely used in the United States to treat morning sickness, but controversy over its safety during pregnancy despite no scientific evidence that it was harmful forced the company to pull it from the market. (These days, it's only available in Canada under the name Dicletin.
Avatar f tn Do not mix antihistamines though such as an oral antihistamine and spray. Ocean Spray does not have an antihistamine and will simply dry you out and is safe to use with an antihistamine.
