Avatar f tn Yes I found out I was pregnant at 7 weeks I was getting drunk everyday and smoking weed taking pills and doing coke im 18 and have been threw alot and seen alot I lost my way in life for a while now im 33 weeks and my son is doing amazing
Avatar n tn I took sports as an outlet for fun and hung out with my friends and managed to never put myself in danger by doing drugs or alcohol. It takes real inner strength, self-control and a real deep sense of contentment with who you ARE -- you don't have to prove anything to anyone. I would challenge you to think this over and make the smart decision in order to protect yourself.
Avatar m tn Hi, I have been with my bf for almost 2 months now.. He tells me that he has BP disorder and that he has a hard time staying off the alcohol and drugs (weed & pills).. He takes Symbyax and Prozac from my understanding. I really dont think he takes it like he should.. I was wondering if this is a common problem? I am new at this and dont know very much about the problems that he has. I am trying very hard to stick by his side and work through all this.
Avatar f tn I was 11 weeks (by the ultrasound). For the first 5 months of my pregnancy I used Alcohol and prescpibtion drugs to cope with my anxiety and depression ( this is not my way of making accuses for myself, I know what I did was and is wrong). My question is when they measured my baby when I was 11 weeks, is there any chance that the ultrasound could have been wrong about my due date due to the fact that I was using?
Avatar n tn I am allergic to the drugs used for controling blood pressure and prior to this successfully lowered my pressure by exercise and diet.It is normal for me to have a reading of 130 over 80. I am 59 years old. I weigh 110 pounds. I am 5 foot 6 inches tall. My exercise routine is rigorous. I exercise one hour a day, 5 days a week. I watch my diet, never smoked and drink low alcohol level white wine daily. Both of my parents had high blood pressure.
Avatar f tn t see a happy ending here whether he starts treatment or not. Do the best you can to get him help for his alcohol and drug problems and then start looking out for yourself.
Avatar n tn He is probably frustrated and mad at himself but being sick and being dependent on alcohol to drown his pain.....why don't you try taking him for a walk, be more strict with him - hide the booze....I like to have a few drinks with Xanax too....it makes you very relaxed........but he shouldn't be abusing alcohol that's for sure!
Avatar f tn I don't mean to be an alarmist, but I am going to be. (and I am going to computer yell to get my point across too) MY BROTHER DIED MIXING BOOZE AND MEDICATIONS. HE WAS ONLY AGE 38!!!!!! Now, I don't want to blame the death of my brother for my alcoholism, (I was drinking around 8 to 10 beers a night, every night since July of 2008 until I went into Rehab in Jan. 2009)....
Avatar f tn My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl. Big mistake since I woke up broke out in bad hives. I had to wait to get home to take benadryl since I am not 100% certain that Benadryl does not give me hives.
799026 tn?1238317370 Hello everyone. I am new here. I was recently diagnosed but it's nothing new, I've been this way my whole life. I wanted to know your opinions on using drugs and/or alcohol...I've read a lot of conflicting information on the internet and Dr's never seem to have a straight answer. I smoke marijuana regularly to calm me down. I was recently drinking too much but have since stopped. Can anyone offer some personal insight?
Avatar n tn It will eventually go away but usually takes time. For the meantime, you may take any antihistamine and check if your symptoms will be relieved. You should avoid scratching the area as well to prevent breaks in the skin and possible introduction of bacteria. Take care.
210982 tn?1280983895 I assume that one could die if drinking enough alcohol and Sub as what happens when narcs and other drugs are mixed is the synergetic effect. For example, of one was to say that one xanax equaled one beer, and you drank one beer, then you would have the effect of 2 beers. WRONG, you would have the effect of many beers. In the "stacking" world of pharms and alcohol, one plus one doesn't equal 2!
1253584 tn?1332877954 I think it depends on the person, like you said, alcohol leads you back to pills but it isn't the case for everyone, we're all different. I can drink with no problem and it doesn't effect my addiction what so ever, BUT, I rarely ever drink, maybe once every several months (my boyfriend is a recovering alcoholic so we do not go out much, even though he can drink responsibility, we both worry if he began drinking all the time again it wouldn't be good for him.
Avatar f tn I can actually differentiate the type of itchiness you get from a mosquito bite and from this one -- and this is WAY worse. I take antihistamine and I also put calamine on my body to reduce the itchiness. Will this ever go away?
Avatar n tn What kind were you taking?
Avatar m tn Same goes for saying that alcohol is ok in moderation. Certainly NOT for those fighting dependency and addiction which probably means anyone who posts or reads this forum otherwise why are you here? Answer, to END chemical dependency.
