Well upon read in it states if you do a hibiclens of your vagina/rectum 6 hours before your gbs test it will cure gbs colonization if you have it thus giving you a gbs neg test! Every women carries it in their body but sometimes it's there and other times it's not, when you "have it" its inactive but they give you antibiotics during labor and delivery to prevent it from being passed onto your newborn and becoming "active" which can be a simple illness or it can be extremely dangerous.

s not harmful at all to adults but it can make a newborn baby really sick. So when u deliver they will give u antibiotics in your iv so baby will be protected. Nothing to worry about and completely normal. Hope this helps.

Call your Dr but do not discontinue your antibiotics until you speak with them. Most antibiotics are safe to take during pregnancy and its important that you clear up whatever infection you had.

All the nurses and doctor told me she was healthy, i fed her and she ate so well, but then she threw it up and couldnt keep anything down, they ran some blood work and found out she has some type of infection, she was admitted to NICU last night and they have her on antibiotics, their doing more test and blood work to find out exactly where the infection is, im just wondering has any one else went through this? wondered if u also get yeast infections...antibiotics can cause a flare up of a yeast infection...so do ask for DIFLUCAN to help prevent that issue altogether. Speaking with a Pharmacist may be the best help in knowing what meds would be best for u with the H.Pylori...it can be resistant to antibiotics...and can require a second round. Then, the antibiotics can kill off all teh good bacteria u need, so ask ur dr about taking a probiotic afterward.
