190673 tn?1259203266 A quick search on the internet told me that wheat beer has different yeast than any other beer. I quit yeast beer and flare ups got to be less but noticed that when I drank a certain kind of canadien beer it would flare up again. sure enough I checked their website and they said they had their own petented yeast. I still drink beer but have stayed to the more watery US brands and have been fine. Sure enough the other day I had a heavy micro-brew type and bam...flare up.
Avatar m tn Hello, For the past 3+ weeks i've noticed in association with my frequent headaches (daily) i am getting a "tic" or twitch in the neck. It is quick and unnoticed by others (so far). The tic seems to mainly occur when i'm having or about to have a headache. I did go to the doctor regarding this (walk-in clinic) and she stated that there was a lot of strep going around and had to be the cause of my headaches with no explanation of my "tics".

Avatar f tn I also went to the doc for a lump on my inner left buttock. The doc prescribed my antibiotics and ranitidine. I took the antibiotics and the lump/bump went away, but I never took the ranitidine. About one week ago, I drank some beer and as I drank the beer my stomach started hurting, but I kept drinking (a lot). The next day my stomach started hurting bad! I had a sharp pain and super nauseous. I had a bowel movement (diarrhea) and my stomach feel better.
Avatar n tn Offlate (period of 1 month) I have a feeling that my stomach is always full/ bloated up just after eating a very brief Indian meal (roti-1, rice- a small bowl, lentil, chicken curry), and often I dont get any urge for eating another meal in due course. About 4 weeks earlier I had a dysentery and was under antibiotics care (course ended 3 weeks earlier). The problem surfaced after that majorly, but was experiencing the same even before the disease.
Avatar n tn Some beer and breads also contain sulfites. You could be having an allergy to sulfites. Beer and breads use yeast called Saccharomyces cerevisiae. You could be allergic to this yeast. Yes, you are right about antibiotics making one susceptible to candida infection. However your symptoms do not point towards it. They point towards an allergic reaction more and if you have mold allergy then you are a likely candidate for yeast allergy. Please discuss this with your doctor.
Avatar f tn I now question if it could be a combination of alcohol and certain types of food (he had an Indian and one bottle of beer last night and has been sent home from work with an escort as so unwell!). I know the last time he was very ill we had a tapas meal out before a few drinks so wonder if it could be rich/spicy food and alcohol? He doesn't have a good stomach at the best of times probably experiencing the runs around once a week.

463707 tn?1218748031 t have a foul smell, and if it is accompanied with a feeling of itching and burning, and painful during intercourse it is definitely a yeast infection, there's a lot of over the counter pills and creams to treat a yeast infection, and also home remedies like soaking a tampon on a fresh natural yogurt and insert it there for 1-2 hours, or if you have soreness on the labia, you can spread a yogurt on the pads, wear it and keep it there for 1-2 hours, you can do that for 7 days.
Avatar f tn Wine is only okay after your baby is fully developed in the last month not, "here and there" and beer is not okay. I crave beer all the time but I wouldn't drink a small one I mean what's the point you're not gonna get drunk nor buzzed and it'll just go straight to the baby.

1945228 tn?1324188779 I hate to be the party pooper, but you are both 30+ years old and you're discussing having panic attacks from drinking.......have either of you considered getting into therapy to find the root cause of your panic, which, apparently, is triggered by alcohol for both of you? My advice..........either don't drink and avoid those pesky panic attacks, or seek the cause, and most likely the cure, with therapy.
Avatar f tn My doc actually told me I could have a lite beer a few times a week to help constipation. I don't think it'll hurt anything by having that.
Avatar m tn Do you know anyone who gets drunk and blacks out etc. after one beer? Sounds to me like a mental health issue- paranoia or OCD - which is making you question a safe encounter. If you continue to have these concerns, your best bet is to take them up with a mental health professional. Your concerns are beyond the scope of help that an HIV forum can provide.
Avatar m tn okay, so when I drink any type of Budweiser products my throat closes up and my uvula expands to twice if not three times its normal size... When I first drink the beer I break out in hives and then in the morning the throat things happen.. I just want to know what is causing it because one Smirnoff ice was enough to put me in the er... I am abroad right now so its hard to just go see a doctor.
Avatar m tn Hi, I have regular bouts of what I assume to be heartburn: discomfort behind the lower half of my sternum. It only really bothers me with liquids, even a large batch of almond milk smoothie, that I made the other day. Wine gives me a certain amount of discomfort, but beer really gives me trouble. After two or three pints I get quite intense pain, and a need to vomit. It feels like my whole system has backed up, and that my intestine's won't let the contents of my stomach through.
Avatar n tn My question is that I was on librium 5mg 2x's a day and am wanting to have a beer w/ the game. If I stop taking them how long do they remain in my system. If I don't take them on the day I drink beer will it be ok? Not wanting to risk anything therefore wanting to get info from others. Thanks so much.
