Avatar m tn Getting enough sleep at night with your head slightly raised helps prevent fluids from accumulating around your eyes. Dark circles under the eyes may also be caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight, lack of sleep or fatigue, or aging. Chilled cucumber slices, a refrigerated gel mask or chilled, damp tea bags, or cool compresses can help. If you have allergies, it is important to control and treat them to prevent swelling.

Avatar m tn for multifocal IOLs (which provide crisp vision without debilitating side effects) and effective treatments for dry eyes and floaters. This should stimulate research funded by manufacturers, who are in business to make a profit. Dm354, why don't you call the doctor you saw and ask for more info about that new medication?
Avatar m tn good point that I missed...you know, I was getting these relatively expensive eye drops from a doc...(I find most of the name brand eye drops not really helpful, you have to keep using them and they don't moisturize that well) and then JimJim turned me on to these you can get at the drug store otc... Genteal (the one I use is the Mild)...they work better then anything on the shelf in my opinon...a little more expensive but well worth it...

1064785 tn?1406638398 I do not know if there is anything specifically geared towards pregnancy- I am sure there is. I like the 'skin deep' section on the environemental working groups page. Please know it is kind of overly-cautious, but at least you can see why somethings are worse for you than others and what the ingredients are that shoud be avoided. Hope this helps! Congrats on your tww! Stick and grow baby!
Avatar f tn I have used 2 types of face creams I think have made it worse - both were over the counter daily anti-aging moisturizers - but thats not the only time it seems to get worse. Does anybody know what this is from and what I can do about it??? It makes it look like I have a mustache but its nothing I can wax off! I have seen Ambi, a OTC skin lightener, but I am scared to home bleach my skin.
Avatar m tn I just went through cataract surgery in November. It can be very worth it but there is a lot of aftercare and there can be complications. My dog did not have any issues other than the cataracts except for some inflammation. After surgery we had to deal with one minor ulceration and one fairly major ulceration. She is now healed and doing great. She is no longer fearful like she became when she couldn't see, and no longer slamming into walls either!
1307298 tn?1305946851 Hi all, My fatigue has truly gotten out of hand now. I have all of the types of fatigue correlated to MS, as well as a problem with falling asleep while driving and at my desk at work. I could deal with the general fatigue, but falling asleep while driving and at work are absolutely unacceptable of course. My doc has put me on Provigil, and it worked well for about a month. Now it is not helping me.

Avatar f tn The texture of my facial skin looks horrible, my skin is very dry and my facial pores are pretty big. I also have puffiness and black circles under my eyes. My weight is normal, I eat healthy, exercise a lot and take a multivitamin and Complex B. I don't drink, don't smoke, don't tan, don't wear makeup, don't do drugs and don't go out in the sun. I get plenty of water and about 8-10 hours of sleep every night. I also moisturize at least twice a day.
999323 tn?1249913386 I'd like some recommendations for a good moisturizing face cream. Anti-wrinkle, maybe? it's actually too late for that!
