Does anyone notice that during the pregnancy their tattoos popped out more, and you can really feel the outlines in the tattoo's? They also started to itch, and I can't scratch because then it hurts? Anyone else has this? Or knows what's going on?
Id go nuts if someone acted that way around me about my tattoos! I have over 30 tattoos I have a half sleeve on one arm and the bottom half of one of my legs sleeved! I can't stand when people look at me crazy in public but I'd throw a fit and stand my ground about my tattoos to people that know me and treat me that way!

not a drug sign or cult signs for demons and all of that stupid shiit!! I hate when people put labels on tattoos like that!
Since then, i have been in and out of the ER 7 times- dizzi spells, numbness in my arms at random times, heart palpitations, sharp pains on my mid left AND right sides, etc. Ive had a CT angiogram done and numerous blood work, all was in the clear. I also need to add that i was diagnosed a few years back with Gilbert;s Syndrome and Hashimotos Hypothyroidism. The only thing that has showed up in my bloodwork is my TSH was once at 6.79 in hospital, but is now back down to 2.
They say stay away from reds. If you were to get an outline or something - say in black you should be fine. Just make sure u take real good. Care of it. You don't want to get an infection. I've had tattoos done in my first pregnancy. 3rd pregnancy - didn't know I was pregnant at the time. And early pregnancy this pregnancy. The first 2 were outlines this one complete color. I didn't know I was pregnant this time either.
Some tattoo artists say they won't do tattoos because they don't wanna infect the baby with the ink or draw on your veins. My tattoo artist won't do it.
Anybody know or herd anything about getting tattoos while pregnant or breastfeeding feeding? Good? Bad?
t hurt at all. My long time tattooist knows that I take very good care of my tattoos and I know he uses only sterile equipment. I was more likely to get infected by scraping my knee than getting a tattoo from him. Also, he said that the minimal amount of ink that he put into my skin, would be diluted and non-existent by the time it reached the placenta. It was also so small that it healed completely in 2 days.
My baby is perfectly healthy now.
I am a tattoo artist and refuse to do tattoos on anyone pregnant or suspect pregnancy. So many shops are not cleanly and may cause infection if not properly done. Also if for some reason it takes longer to heal your chances of infection increase and that can harm your baby.
Because of the hormone changes during pregnancy it is not a good idea to get a tattoo... Your skin is different... And still changing... Half my body is covered in tattoos so trust me when I say it's been ***** not getting tattooed... But waiting until after your body returns to normal is best.
I recommend to wait till after your done breastfeeding. Only because tattoos can get infected if not properly taken care of. That's my personal opinion. I have plenty of tattoos myself and want more once I have my baby but if I plan on breastfeeding I rather just wait. Just to be safe. But Google it if u need to . just so u can see some of other ppls opinions. some ppl may say yes its safe other may think its not.
I already have several tattoos and of course have plans for many more. Now, being pregnant that has bright me to do a lot of research. My findings are basically everywhere is that as long as its a new needle and ink there is nothing that will harm the baby. Has anyone ever had experience with this or know someone that does?
I know most all moms are going to flip out over controversial topics like this but I just got to ask.. I have a good number of tattoos and have never once had anything go wrong with them as far as infections and stuff so I decided to get another one the other day its on my arm and feels and looks great.. I am 21 weeks pregnant but not really showing I read all the papers and saw nothing about pregnancy and risks associated with tattoos..
But hormones going through you can make the ink do funky things and make you have a reaction. I would wait.
My boyfriend has always wanted a tattoo . And said he'd get one of our babies hand or feet prints. But my best friend went and said that he shouldn't get any bcuz he can't donate blood if the baby needs shall ever neeed. She said I cant bcuz I have tattoos..now he doesn't want to get it . I thought you could donate even with tattoos, or am I wrong?
My last post was about piercings in the third trimester. So this question is asking if tattoos are okay to get?? No bashing please because I'm asking questions other people wonder as well and I'm bold enough to ask, so if you're gonna post rude comments please don't say nothing at all.
