I want my stint removed.I have phantom pain all the time cause by the fact that metal and muscle tissue don;t jive together. I am also concerned that stints don't last forever (5 to 10 years) , then what? The fact is that I am pissed that simple changing my diet and exercise habits would have cleared my blockage but doctors never tell you that, no money in free advice.
My 75 yr old circumcised husband has enlarged red testicles. In addition his penis has shrunk so it's not visible. This occurred shortly after he had an angiogram and had a stint put in. I have been researching the enlarged testicles, but can't find anything that would connect the problem with his penis to the testicle problem. What could this be?
Has anyone had an angiogram with the catheter inserted in arm or neck instead of the groin? I don't think I could take the groin without serious nerve spasms.
My husband had an angiogram days before Christmas they placed a stint in his left leg. for a few weeks, things seem to be fine, the color in his legs was looking better .Then a few days ago his right leg starts hurting to the point he can't walk then the swelling starts up his leg and spreads to the other leg and the groin. He had ultrasounds done and it;s not DVT. He was admitted to hospital where they gave him antibiotics to treat an infection and then discharged him a few days later.
she failed the stress test and was referred for angiogram the same day. She had multiple blockages at 90%, and was admitted to the hospital. She stayed in the hospital for 4 days, due to the doctors where afraid to release her home. She had a double bypass (left descending coronary artery and left circumflex coronary artery). She healed well, but 2 weeks ago while at home she experienced chest pain. She went by ambulance to the hospital.
And that they need to do a catherization angiogram to see if they can do a stint or need to do a bypass. My next appointment is scheduled in two weeks for all the blood test and so on see they are getting faster LoL so who knows how long before I actually get something done. My problem is now my wife won’t even let me go to my cabin and walk around. She’s afraid something will happen 5 hours away from home.
i had a negative nuc stress test and had chest pain while doing it i then went and had a angiogram which i had 2 more blocked artieries which got stents. there are other tests they can do also like the 64 slice ct scan your cardioligst should discuss other tests for you, good luck and keep on it.
I do not know how much effort you put in that area when you play golf, I guess that is quite asymmetric so you probably place different efforts on each of your groins... Anyway, I would say that if you do not have any pain there and you wait another week to be in the very safe side, you should not have problems.
Of course if you have a dr. who plays golf, ask him.
If they find more, and end up putting in a stint how long will it be before I can resume a work out schedule of first riding the recumbent bike? How long before I can resume weight lifting? And if they do not put in a stint how long before I can do the above mentioned things?
after my stint was installed both my feet are very hot and tingely is this normal?

It was filled with black onyx and a stint. It was wide base so the glue with stint was the best option. I have had no side effects from the surgery. It lasted almost 4.5 hours. Not sick felt at all felt great after surgery and went home 2 days later. 1 day in ICU and 1 day regular (while still in ICU). No vision changes so that was good. They were expecting problems with vision in my left eye but it didn't happen. Just have a mild headache every now and then.
Apparently this vessel (Not mammory artery, but one of the vessels harvested from the thigh) isn't blocked, but has lost it's structure. "flopping" Cannot stint because of the condition of the vessel. As I stated the original bypass was performed in 1995. I know his prognosis has been very bad since the last surgery. When I was informed about this recent degradation I became alarmed this means we have a VERY Limited time left.
A subsequent heart cath revealed that I had a 40-50 blockage in my LAD. No stint was inserted during the cath and I had no problem with my continued exercise program of 1 to 1.25 hours four to five days a week. My annual stress test two weeks ago has been interpreted as "mildly abnormal".
Monday, February 18, they took the tub and bag out and put a stint in. The itching and rash has come back. How long does it take after a stint is put in to relieve the symptoms or how long should we wait before contacting a doctor if the symptoms don't go away?
I have just been scheduled for an angiogram and I'm scared to no end I have a 3 year old son I love to death same as my soon to be wife. I'm so scared something will go wrong during the surgery how coming are complications? Also my ej is 73 is this bad?
You better check with your doctors, I am not sure about the potential damage due to the radiation dose that you will take during the procedure.
Also if they discover blockages in your coronaries, I do not know about the risk of the medication that you will need.
After a cardigraph treadmill test I'm being referred for angiogram - I'm going on holiday in two weeks with a 3 hour flight. Should I travel?
My partner is having an angiogram after suffering chest pains a few weeks ago. NAD was found at the time from blood tests and ECG (done over 18 hours). Was kept in overnight. Had no discomfort since, but suffers from type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol which are all controlled and low due to medication.
His chest pains were 4 weeks ago and he's had nothing since.
my mother is suffering from chest pain now Doctor is saying to go for angiogram test?
