The angiogram will show the cardiologist where the blockage is and give him a good idea of the best way to treat it. Maybe it will be an easy job of inserting a stent, or maybe he will decide a better option is a bypass. The overall picture of all your coronary arteries will be seen and a long term decision will be made on those images.
The stent procedure could have been done at the time of the angiogram...did your physical condition/reaction at the time of the test prevent doing a stent implant at the time?
No other problems indicated on the report. You may want to get an understanding regarding your passing out! You may have been overdosed or allergic to the dye, etc., your reaction is an unexpected event during an angiogram (cath), and the doctor shouild know and explain what happened.
I have just been scheduled for an angiogram and I'm scared to no end I have a 3 year old son I love to death same as my soon to be wife. I'm so scared something will go wrong during the surgery how coming are complications? Also my ej is 73 is this bad?
You better check with your doctors, I am not sure about the potential damage due to the radiation dose that you will take during the procedure.
Also if they discover blockages in your coronaries, I do not know about the risk of the medication that you will need.

My partner is having an angiogram after suffering chest pains a few weeks ago. NAD was found at the time from blood tests and ECG (done over 18 hours). Was kept in overnight. Had no discomfort since, but suffers from type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol which are all controlled and low due to medication.
His chest pains were 4 weeks ago and he's had nothing since.

A CT angiogram is more sensitive than a straight forward angiogram. They both rely on a radioactive substance being injected into your blood stream and it's this which the scanners pick up. If a CT angiogram doesn't reveal a vessel, then no way will an angiogram.
I had a vein that was closed after a bypass procedure and they looked for 30 minutes in a standard angiogram procedure to try and find it.
I think another angiogram is your best option personally. It will show how clear your vessels are but ask them to do a FFR on your coronary arteries. This is a tiny sensor which gives the cardiologist the blood flow rate. Without this test, they are simply going by visual signs which is an inaccurate method. I would like to know what your BP was to lower your EF to 15%?
The tests indicated a blockage. I am now waiting for an angiogram. They put me on drugs after the test. I am on 1.25mg Monocor, 5mg Norvasc, 10mg Crestor as well as ASA 81mg - one per day. Now I wait for Angiogram. I am quite freaked out. So I am scheduled for an angiogram on Feb 5th. They tell me there are risks in this test. The risk is 1 in 1000 people die, stroke or have a heart attack during this proceedure. My question is this, Should I get a 64-slice Coronary CT Angiograph​y?
m worried if they actually do find something, then they have to radiate me again to do the angiogram. My cardiologist wanted me to go the route of the angiogram first rather than CT because he didn't want me exposed to high doses of radiation, and because if something was found, they could fix it right away.

CT scan 64-slice angiogram as well as a cath angiogram is by definition an angiogram as both involve a dye injection, but there is more intense radiation exposure with CT angiogram. It is fast becoming the radiological test of choice to look at disease of blood vessels. The next generation of a ct scan will reduce the individual's radiation exposure.
The ct angiogram involves an assessment of the body of the vessels as well as the lumen.
for some reason that same hand is tender over the top of my hand, where they put in the Angiogram camera tubing. I have had a groin Angiogram about 7 years ago. Even though I had this wrist discomfort, I would seriously ONLY ever recommend the wrist Angiogram, should you be reading my experience here.
Why would a cardiologist do an angiogram and give a report of a 30% blockage and two weeks later do a cardiac cath and give a report of 89% blockage in the LAD? Why would an angiogram not show this?
Iam 31, 2 Months before i got the chest pain and I immediately rushed to the hospital. They did the ECG and found little changes in V4 - V5. And I went through the angiogram. The angiogram results shows negative. And doctor discharged from hospital with some prescription for 3 months.
Still I am getting the pain in center of chest. Two days before I went to doctor and in ECG found the V6 changes in the lead.
