Avatar m tn It is impossible to diagnose through internet but from the symptoms that you describe, a new obstruction of the OM stent could be one of the reasons behind your shoulder pain. I recommend you to consult your doctor to describe him your symptoms and define what kind of workup you will need. In the meantime just as a reminder, continue all the medications prescribed by your doctor and call 911 if the pain becomes persistent or progressive.
Avatar m tn ve done a myocardial two three years ago witch was negative buy continue to be short of breath. A differnt cardiologist suggested a CT angiogram and I want to k ow if this is a better test??

Avatar m tn When you say you have steady pains in your neck/shoulder/hand area, it does make me think of this. There are also some other rheumatologic conditions that could be looked into. Again, the EKG changes may be a false alarm, although I can't really say without looking at the data myself. Hope this helps!

20794198 tn?1534529493 I have had left shoulder/neck/arm pain over the past few months now and it always gets worse with stressful situations! Sometimes there is chest discomfort other times none! I’m only 27, and I don’t have risk factors but I need to be sure it’s not some angina based pain where I have some underlying issue on my artery’s - hence why I’m going for a CT angiogram. What are they like?
Avatar n tn I waited on my fiancé during his angiogram, 1 hour of waiting and 3 hours of supervising from the nurses then home we went
Avatar m tn Hi I had a question. I get this aweful pain in the middle of my chest and it goes into my back. It feels like someones twisting my insides right there and I wanted to know what that could be? If its serious or if its something not to really worry about.
Avatar n tn of heart action and blood flow through your valves and arteries (called an angiogram). Doctors can see the number of blockages that you have and how serious those blockages are. In patients with CAD, coronary angiography usually shows a blocked artery that slows blood flow to the heart. BUT INDIVIDUALS WITH CSX, there may be an abnormal exercise stress test and a normal coronary angiogram, and the doctor may suspect cardiac syndrome X.
Avatar f tn I just dont know which one to go for the C.T or the angiogram , because of this incredible weakness and tiredness and constant chest pain/preassure I think maybe the C.T scan is better at detecting cardiomyopathy etc.. but its double the radiation and if I do have blockages then the angiogram would be better. Anyway thanks for your advice its good to get your perspective it can all get a bit daunting sometimes.
776302 tn?1241091853 My friend was rushed to the emergency room following a rash of violent vomiting. Long story short she had an angiogram procedure done, she felt a pain in her chest and went into cardiac arrest. after 35 minutes she was brought back. The doctor said she had 2 blood clots and it magically disappeared and no surgery was needed. She is up and very well. She feels that the angiogram caused her heart to stop.
Avatar m tn I agree, of course you would want an explanation of the results of an angiogram. Unfortunately, due to very busy schedules of cardiologists, this is not always possible. Surely there is an appointment with a cardiologist scheduled?
Avatar n tn I was put in CCU with a tropnin level of .28. After angiogram and other tests, I was diagnosed with Coronary Microvascular Disease. It may be something you would be interested in reading about.
352470 tn?1207296398 it always travels to my left arm shoulder and arm. the pain in the arm seems to be in the bicep and forearm, this can last longer than the pain in the chest. When the chest pain hits its intense, I cant breath in because it hurts so bad, is this what you are having? If not can anyone help me.
Avatar n tn BACNS, or benign angiitis of the central nervous system, is one type of primary angitis of the CNS (PACNS). There are a few types of PACNS, including GACNS (a pathologic diagnosis made by biopsy), and BACNS, a diagnosis which is made by angiography (a procedure whereby dye is injected into the blood vessels of the brain and they are visualized).
Avatar n tn does having a normal CT angiogram completely rule out a cardiac cause of this pain/discomfort? I am relieved that my cardiologist thinks so, but without an adequate explanation as to the cause of the discomfort, I still have a bit of anxiety. Thank you.
Avatar m tn she has symptoms like heaviness in the left shoulder, fatules and occurs only after taking a meal followed by some form of exercise (mild eg.walking). Left Coronary Artery Left Main Stem: Normal bifurcating vessel Left Anterior Descending Artery: moderate diffuse with intervening tight stenosis Mild ostial disease and tight distal vessel stenosis.
Avatar n tn They did an ECHO stress test and found some blockage in the back of my heart. They then requested me to do an Angiogram for them to see better in to my heart. I did and I was sent home after 4 hours. They said I am OK. Thats all. I saw my cardios letter while I was with my own GP.
Avatar m tn Some are left dominant where the LAD and LCX supply most of the back of the heart. Some are right dominant where the RCA does this job. You simply have a dominant right side which supplies the back of the heart and I believe probably the AV node too. It's really just the way your plumbing is made up and is of no concern at all. Your LCX will be a relatively short vessel compared to someone who is left dominant because the LCX comes from the LAD (left anterior descending).
Avatar m tn Has anyone had an angiogram with the catheter inserted in arm or neck instead of the groin? I don't think I could take the groin without serious nerve spasms.
Avatar f tn d be doing without this forum everyone is so nice and knowledgeable.
Avatar n tn If there are blockages, a stent implant (usually done at time of angiogram) will increase the diameter of the occlusion/occlusions permitting more blood to the deficit area. Sometimes the area of blockage can not be stented because of location, tortuous segment, too long, etc...then a bypass surgical operation may be the only remedy. Alternatively, some people find relief from chest pain with medication.
Avatar m tn Is the angiogram of leg advisable for the patients suffering from diabetics and foot ulcer? Please do reply for my question....
