Type 3 vessel, this is just the length of the vessel. A type 3 is one which is the longest variety and goes down past the apex and can even take place of the posterior (rear) artery behind the heart. Type 1 is quite short and doesn't reach the bottom of the heart and type 2 reaches the bottom of the heart and stops there. Proximal is local area where the vessel begins. Mid is the middle section and distal would be the far end region.
After about 10 days I started getting on and off chest pain with exertion and even sitting in a chair for a length of time. After lying down it seems to alleviate it. I went back to cardiologist and had blood work and nuclear stress test done, which all came up negative. it has been 6 weeks and I continue to have this chest pain several times throughout the day. Should I go back to the cardiologist for another angiogram?
I assume you have talked with your doctor. My experience with angiograms was I had not groin problem - I was almost normal and surely had no pain or trouble walking the next day. Not bragging, just give an existence proof that it can be easy and even if not as easy as I experienced, then surely it shouldn't be worse than a week or two. I was just examined including a study of valve operation, no stints were applied, there was no blockage in my case.
About 16 months ago I had two stents put into my right coronary artery. I also had two other coronary arteries 20 to 30% blocked. The two stents which were put in are in series and make an effective stent length of 35 mm. So, I don't like the stent length or the increase risk of fracture due to their interlock, both of which increase risk of complications. My carotids were 20% blocked at the time as well.
I have just been scheduled for an angiogram and I'm scared to no end I have a 3 year old son I love to death same as my soon to be wife. I'm so scared something will go wrong during the surgery how coming are complications? Also my ej is 73 is this bad?
You better check with your doctors, I am not sure about the potential damage due to the radiation dose that you will take during the procedure.
Also if they discover blockages in your coronaries, I do not know about the risk of the medication that you will need.
After a cardigraph treadmill test I'm being referred for angiogram - I'm going on holiday in two weeks with a 3 hour flight. Should I travel?
My partner is having an angiogram after suffering chest pains a few weeks ago. NAD was found at the time from blood tests and ECG (done over 18 hours). Was kept in overnight. Had no discomfort since, but suffers from type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol which are all controlled and low due to medication.
His chest pains were 4 weeks ago and he's had nothing since.

A CT angiogram is more sensitive than a straight forward angiogram. They both rely on a radioactive substance being injected into your blood stream and it's this which the scanners pick up. If a CT angiogram doesn't reveal a vessel, then no way will an angiogram.
I had a vein that was closed after a bypass procedure and they looked for 30 minutes in a standard angiogram procedure to try and find it.
I think another angiogram is your best option personally. It will show how clear your vessels are but ask them to do a FFR on your coronary arteries. This is a tiny sensor which gives the cardiologist the blood flow rate. Without this test, they are simply going by visual signs which is an inaccurate method. I would like to know what your BP was to lower your EF to 15%?
The tests indicated a blockage. I am now waiting for an angiogram. They put me on drugs after the test. I am on 1.25mg Monocor, 5mg Norvasc, 10mg Crestor as well as ASA 81mg - one per day. Now I wait for Angiogram. I am quite freaked out. So I am scheduled for an angiogram on Feb 5th. They tell me there are risks in this test. The risk is 1 in 1000 people die, stroke or have a heart attack during this proceedure. My question is this, Should I get a 64-slice Coronary CT Angiograph​y?
