Common Questions and Answers about Angiogram lad

angiogram

Avatar m tn s a photo of the 2008 angiogram right after they opened up the LAD (left) and the one they did just last week (right). To me, it looks like I can see all three arteries open in 2008 (RCA, LCX, and LAD) and in the recent one, I see only two arteries open. Looks to me like the doctor thinks that the branching of the LCX is an "extra artery" when in fact, her LAD is still blocking most of the flow to the left ventricle and she's still in danger. Am I interpreting this properly?
Avatar m tn Depending on the configuration, the papillary muscle may be more vulnerable, and papillary muscle supports the cords that attach to the leaflets, and it can be feed by the LAD and circumflex. I have a totally occluded LAD and 72% circumflex lesion. There may been irreversible damage, but according to the doctor sometimes MVR can be reversed...it didn't happen.
Avatar m tn A cath angiogram revealed 80-90% blockage on my left anterior artey (LAD). I am a 52 years old man , No diabetic, No Hi-blood pressure. No any pain on my chest. I am active, go to the gym and in full time job. Stenting or Bi-pass, What is best treatment for my 80-90% LAD Blockage ?
Avatar m tn Obviously either the left circumflex or the right artery is feeding your LAD. If the 50% blockage is in the artery feeding your LAD, then I would seriously consider getting this stented and made as wide as possible. Think about it, if the source for the LAD blocks, you will have the complete left side of the heart shut down. Not a good thing. My left circumflex is the lifeline for my LAD and I ensure this is completely open all the way down.
Avatar n tn He reported to the hospital and angiogram was scheduled. But it took 3 days for angiogram to take place as we were told that he has low platelets and 3 SDPs were given to him. His platelets count was arnd 18k. After SDP it went up to 70-80k.
Avatar n tn Why would a cardiologist do an angiogram and give a report of a 30% blockage and two weeks later do a cardiac cath and give a report of 89% blockage in the LAD? Why would an angiogram not show this?
Avatar m tn I have another angiogram scheduled. My Cardio DR. is concerned because of a "strong family history" of premature CAD. Here's my history and question. 3/21/14- Unstable anginia and abnormal stress test. Admission to hospital and given angioplasty due to a 90% blockage of the LAD. Diagnosis says:" successful ad hoc PCI to the LAD with a single resolute zotarolimus eluding stent with good results. No complications.
Avatar m tn LAD is a type III vessel. Ostial LAS has 80% lesion. Mid LAD has 80% long segment lesion, distally graftable. Diagonal has proximal 99% lesion, distally 1.0 mm graftable. LCX : Co - Dominant vessel. Distal LCX before PDA has 70 - 80% lesion. PDA is graftable. RCA : Co - Dominant vessel. RCA has total occlusion. Distal RCA fills through inter coronary collaterals. TRIPLE VESSEL CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE. Doctor advised for a CABG and please advice what to do further.
Avatar n tn I had MI in 2007. After treatment I had a 100% blocked LCx, a stented LAD and good RCA. EF 35%. I had my last angiogram (cath) in January 2008 and results were same as stated above. At this time I do not have any angina or SOB. But my EF is still low at 30-35%. My nuclear stress test was OK last year. When should I go for next angiogram? Thanks for your views in advance.
1213000 tn?1280463161 On May 19, after a MRI stress test was abnormal and an angiogram showed diffuse restonosis of the LAD stents, I underwent CABG (4X). Now, 10 weeks later, another abnormal MRI stress test and tomorrow another angiogram to see what's up. What IS up, I wonder? Since Jan, I quit smoking, lost 40 lbs, lowered LDL by 300 points and raised HDL by 35 pts. I guess I don't really have a question, after looking at what I wrote. I guess I am just a little worried.
