angiogram

Avatar f tn t know why), heart failure, left bundle branch block, ef at latest angiogram was at 10%, minor mitral valve and tricuspid valve regurgitation and now have episodes of v-tach and had a-fib. i have had a biventricular pacemaker/icd since 2004 and am taking coreg, digoxin, lisinopril, coumadin, lasix and spironlactone. i am on maximum therapy for coreg and lisinopril and my coumadin was just upped. the a-fib, v-tach is new since 9/28/07.
Avatar m tn Which one is the more accurate measure that needs to be used for making cardio-management decisions (for example, do I need an CRT or a CRT/ICD, etc.?) My estimated is 35% and calculated is 29%; Lately I do have mild Atrial Arrithmia that just developed after an episode of 2-wk long sever cough of upper chest; the cough has been completely gone for about 6-8 weeks now.
Avatar m tn ) The first thing that I would do is get a copy of your angiogram, on CD or DVD, that is made during every angiogram. Next I would get a copy of all of my cardiac medical records since your mi in August of 2007. Now find a cardiologist not associated with the current group, that your cardiologist is in (if he is in a group and most are). Try to find a good one. Then send him all of the records and CD prior to the actual appointment. Boy do you need a second opinion!!!
3072999 tn?1356414732 Hi Tink, I am actually a medical coder for a hospital -the ICD-10 code would be G93.5. The ICD-9 code is 384.4. Since ICD-9 is not very specific they may have put a I after to show it is a Chiari Malformation type 1. In ICD-10 it is more specific - G93.5 states Chiari Malformation 1. So I am assuming since the ICD-9 code of 384.4 just states compression of brain they had to add a 1 so it was more specific for their notes.
Avatar n tn They sent us to Sioux Falls Heart Hospital where finally after 2 years of trying to convince him he agreed to the ICD. The angiogram showed no more than 20% blockages, which the DR was hoping he would find some blockage to explain away the VTAH and be able to treat. Dr explains now (as we were told before) that his heart is very week. THe lower chambers are severly damaged. He has the ICD in and we have just returned home. Here are the questions that would help us understand what now?
315318 tn?1353251800 I have impaired LV ejection fraction with different methods (echo, cath, CT angiogram) giving a range of 30-43% . I am fitted with ICD. 8 years ago stenting prior to CABG failed within weeks. I am active, go to the gym and in full time job. Given the above history, what are the options for me ?
Avatar m tn Ejection fraction can be improved by lifestyle changes, medications and procedures, such as the insertion of an implantable defibrillator (ICD) if indicated. Lifestyle changes include limiting physical activity, eating a heart healthy diet, completely avoiding alcohol and/or tobacco use, practice relaxation techniques like yoga and keeping a daily weight diary to keep a tab on weight changes. Medications such as digoxin and beta blockers help to improve the pumping capacity of the heart.
Avatar f tn In a few days I had it removed and had pacemaker and defib ICD put in. My question is, could I have had tachycardia-mediated cardiomyopathy that was resolved prior to me taking the chemo, and then could I have gotten dilated cardiomyopathy due to the chemo drug? Newest echo shows ejection fraction back to normal but change from mild mitral valve regurgitation to moderate...my symptoms are now like the CHF I suffered at end of chemo?
Avatar f tn I have episodes of ventricular tachycardia, apparently brought on by a focal wall abnormality in my left ventricle. I also have atrial fibrillation. I have an ICD as well. When I mention to other doctors that I take these medications, they insist I must have high blood pressure. I don't have high blood pressure and never have. My EP says he prescribed these drugs in order to lighten the work load on my heart and I think increase or at least keep my EF stable.
Avatar m tn The later ICDs are more sophisticated and do a better of of identifying V-tach correctly and attempt to pace me out of V-tach before shocking. In the course of replacing tone ICD, I got an infection and the ICD and leads had to be removed and placed on the right side. Through all of this, I continued to exercise, but gave up competitive racing. In the last couple years, the V-tach returned about 1 or 2 times per month.
Avatar m tn A few days ago I had my ICD turned off. Have had it in place for four years and have hated every second. Am now looking into having the control unit removed. Does anyone know how difficult this is to have done. My Dr. does not want me to have it removed and even wants me to turn it back on. It has gone off once, bit my tongue almost off and broke a tooth. Enough already.
Avatar m tn Well, here in the USA, a doctor/cardiologist would give me a quizzical "eye" to say the least if I walked in at your age and suggested I needed an, I would call it, angiogram. I think it very unlikely you have any blocked arteries, and if there is any concern in that area the doctor would likely do a stress test, much simpler and not invasive. Sound like you need to take you BB, and I encourage you to adopt a healthy diet, minimum sugar (especially refined sugar) is a good start.
Avatar n tn 25 with bad breathing problems, had an electro-cardioversion that brought me back to normal sinus rythem, normal breathing and again EF back up to 40% in 1-month continued on with Coreg and Digoxin for 9-months, came off the coreg and continued taking the Digitek only.
Avatar f tn The last time I had a mommo was about 9 months ago.. The said there were some clusters, but not to worry about them. Would this still be part of the Lymph Node?
Avatar f tn 426.9 conduction disorder, unspecified what does that mean? dangerous?
Avatar m tn So in a sense it would be like insurance. The pacer on his ICD was set at 65. At next visit they set it at 70. Long story short, he had ICD placed the end of Jan. '10.His heart rate is regular rate 65-70. At times I can sill feel heart skipping beats with large space between. It's then that pacer kicks in and he's back on the right track. His real problem is SOB. Refuses oxygen. I have news for him, after next MD visit, he WILL be on oxygen.
Avatar m tn I have had 3 ablations over the last 3 years and this last one seems to have made things feel worse. The procdure took nearly 9 hours and was 'complicated' according to the Dr. Since the evening after the procedure I am more aware of my heart beating, seems faster at times and more irregular. I already called my doctor and he wants me to go back tomorrow, which I am.
Avatar f tn In February of this year I experienced sudden cardiac death and resuscitation. An ICD was implanted and I have had multiple shocks and pacing episodes for VT and VF. This week, I transmitted my ICD data and my cardiologist found SVT. She had changed some settings to be more sensitive and caught this activity by accident. She believes my VT and VFib may be triggered by the SVT. All of my arrythmias occur after bending forward suddenly.I am now scheduled for an EP study and ablation in one week.
