Its been very painful and is still a little swollen. Today the bruise is almost to to my elbow, now aching and my hand has began tingling.

I have just been scheduled for an angiogram and I'm scared to no end I have a 3 year old son I love to death same as my soon to be wife. I'm so scared something will go wrong during the surgery how coming are complications? Also my ej is 73 is this bad?
I had an angiogram done on 4th July this year. I was warned about the bruise and that it may get extensive. It did, all the way down to my knee. I wasn't warned however that I may get a lump. I first notice it the next day and 10 days later it is still there, plus another one below it. The first one was 5cms x 3cms, the 2nd one is the size of a golf ball. I have been admitted twice now since finding the first one and still nothing was done.
Yes it can be sore with some people and on
my fourth angiogram it was quite painful for about a week. Walking felt like the muscle was heavily bruised but there was no bruise in sight. I believe they use a seal sometimes
when they finish the procedure which gradually disperses. Maybe this had a problem and
caused the pain. If the leg feels stiff and painful after a week, then have it checked again.
3 weeks ago, I woke up one day with pain in my legs. Over the next few days, the pain became more localized and I developed hard lumps that hurt like a bruise except they didn't exhibit any coloration associated with a bruise. I thought it was because I was sleeping on the couch but I changed where I sleep. Fast forward three weeks later and it has become very difficult to walk, especially use stairs, and I have severe pain in my legs.
All went well and looks like everything is healing fine. I had a bruise near the groin area that went away and the tiny little lump i had right under where they poked is going away. However, the artery next to the poked area is still a little swolen. It has not gotten bigger, but seems like it is taking to long. Shouldn't the artery swell go down by now? I am not in pain and going to work and even taking walks. I haven't been lifting or doing strenous exercise for the last 4 weeks.
You better check with your doctors, I am not sure about the potential damage due to the radiation dose that you will take during the procedure.
Also if they discover blockages in your coronaries, I do not know about the risk of the medication that you will need.

My partner is having an angiogram after suffering chest pains a few weeks ago. NAD was found at the time from blood tests and ECG (done over 18 hours). Was kept in overnight. Had no discomfort since, but suffers from type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol which are all controlled and low due to medication.
His chest pains were 4 weeks ago and he's had nothing since.

Has anyone had an angiogram with the catheter inserted in arm or neck instead of the groin? I don't think I could take the groin without serious nerve spasms.

A CT angiogram is more sensitive than a straight forward angiogram. They both rely on a radioactive substance being injected into your blood stream and it's this which the scanners pick up. If a CT angiogram doesn't reveal a vessel, then no way will an angiogram.
I had a vein that was closed after a bypass procedure and they looked for 30 minutes in a standard angiogram procedure to try and find it.
I think another angiogram is your best option personally. It will show how clear your vessels are but ask them to do a FFR on your coronary arteries. This is a tiny sensor which gives the cardiologist the blood flow rate. Without this test, they are simply going by visual signs which is an inaccurate method. I would like to know what your BP was to lower your EF to 15%?
The tests indicated a blockage. I am now waiting for an angiogram. They put me on drugs after the test. I am on 1.25mg Monocor, 5mg Norvasc, 10mg Crestor as well as ASA 81mg - one per day. Now I wait for Angiogram. I am quite freaked out. So I am scheduled for an angiogram on Feb 5th. They tell me there are risks in this test. The risk is 1 in 1000 people die, stroke or have a heart attack during this proceedure. My question is this, Should I get a 64-slice Coronary CT Angiograph​y?
