A friend had unprotected sex with a lady he had known for quite a while now, many days later he started discharge and experiencing acute penile itchiness. He took some Amoxil that was prescribed to him for a previous sinus infection, and the itchiness reduced drastically, the discharge stopped too. He thinks it's penile yeast infection, but I told him Amoxil makes yeast infection worse so it couldn't possibly be. He is too shy to go see a doctor. Can Amoxil cure yeast infection?
Hi, about a year ago I had a filling in my upper right molar that broke and was re-drilled and replaced with a large filling. It's the tooth that's 2nd from the back not including the wisdom tooth which i had removed 5 years ago.
So, a year ago when I had it re-filled it was rather "sore" for a couple months, and I experienced and on and off low grade fever for many months as well.
By Friday she would not eat anything and screamed if we tried to use the mouth wash on a cotton swab. We took her to the doctor that day. They were not sure and put her on Amoxil. It is now Sunday she is still screaming when we go near her tooth/gums and is bleeding at the touch of the cotton swab
Her mother and I are worried and do not know what to do next. She has a follow up with the dentist on Wednesday this week. What should we do? Should the Amoxil be working if it is an infection?
t been feeling that great and the doc prescribed Prevacid at 30mg twice a day along with 1g of Amoxil and Biaxin. My H. Pylori test came back negative so I could stop the Amoxil and Biaxin. It might take a while but he tells me it will work.
On the other hand, a friend of mine had severe reflux and the doc prescribed Protonix. It worked so well that they were able to get off of it and only use it when they feel a flare up coming on (every couple months).
He has taken a multitude of oral antibiotics --Amoxil 875 Mg 2x day for 14 days, to straight penicillin, Rifampin 300 Mg 2x day for 10 days, Clindamycin. Nothing seems to rid him of these nodules or lower his ASO titer. Overall crummy feeling most of the time. Headaches, leg aches, joint aches, back ache, neck ache. Any suggestions?

2 doses of antibiotics (500mg amoxil, 3/day, 7 days ... then pms-azithromicin (5 day treatment) ... sort of helped ... but not fully resolved ... noticed inflammed, swollen/irritated papillae under tongue (both sides of tongue and also under front of tongue also). Salivary glands swollen. Not resolving ... getting chills every so often ... feeling cold every so often also ... trying to see an ENT ..they are so busy in Canada ... approx 2 months to see one .... Help !!!
it's 3000mg or 3 grams of medication.
if you are still having symptoms, return to be seen again for a proper exam and testing. never in your best interest to guess and just randomly throw antibiotics at a problem.
It appears to be a small internal stye on my lower eyelid. My eye doc gave me amoxil by mouth and tobramycin drops. It immediately responded and was doing much better until about day 8. I went back to the eye doc and he gave me a z-pak to take orally and changed they eye drops to zymaxid. I am on day 3 of that now and am worried it isnt responding like it should. I still have some pain (which as lessened), but I have had a big bag of fluid under my eyelid.

Abouyt month ago I was exposed to some mice droppings, cleaning tool shed. I liove in the city, but still there was mice. Week later I started to have hoarse voice, swollen glands in my neck, pressure in the neck, chills and night sweats. Diocoir listened to my lungs and heard wheezing on exhale, so he gave me Biaxin, which I couldn't take, because I am alergic to it. So he changed it to Amoxil 250.
I have had thyroditis about 20 years ago and was left with small nodule. My last ultrasound reads: "Both thyroid lobes are small measuring up to 3.5 cm in lenght. Parechyma within the mid gland on the right is focally heterogenous, but a discrete nodule is difficult to identify" . My doctor doesn't seem to be concerned. Lately I have hoarse voice, sometimes trouble swallowing food, swollen uvula and pressure in the neck, also swollen glands in the neck.
We took her to the dentist who would not touch her mouth until she did a round of amoxil for 10 days. we are on the 3rd day, and the pain has increased and the swelling of the left side of her face is deforming. swelling is now going under her jaw and into the neck. Is the antibotics not working? Would it be of benifit to bring her to the Er? She is in massive pain and can eat nothing. She can barely open her mouth. These two back teeth the dentist has worked on before.
I went to the doctor and tested negative for strep. She prescribed me Amoxil 875 once per day. By the next day, my tonsils were fine, but the headache remains. I recently changed jobs and some coworkers have been ill, however the internet has me worried that I have HIV. Two questions:
1) Is this a "high risk" case for HIV?
2) What other STDs do my symptoms fall in line with?
I plan to be tested next week, but I want to know what I could be looking at.

Every time I swallow it hurts. Two weeks ago, I had strep throat and the dr. prescribed Amoxil twice a day and I felt much better. This feels nothing like the strep throat I had before, and it's constant. Can you give me an idea as to what it might be and which type of doctor I should make an appointment with if necessary? Thank You..
Did your doctor prescribe it to you for this? If not, STOP right now...'experimenting' with prescription medications, which are extremely addictive can NEVER have good outcomes.
They all have reported feeling better daily - this off label approach is a God Send! Now I will finish out the 12 weeks - they will do the viral load test again at that time and then 12 weeks post treatment test again to declare me officially SVR!!!

After some time, i went to the doctor and he did a stomach examination. didnt find anything unusual. he also gave me Amoxil, and from Amoxil the fishy odor stopped and it only smelled bad like butt. So because it continued i went to the doctor last month and had a colon examination. He didnt find anything unusual.
Then i started searching again for treatment. I found about garlic. I tried for 4 days to eat ALOT OF GARLIC, because as people said brings a balance on the digestive system.
Ive also read in wikipedia that overdose of amoxil is causing lethargy and lethargy is the best describes that feeling. if you don't mind me asking is 1000 mgs of amoxil too much for an hour? the swelling on the neck, it's been swelling for 3 years now.

I had a back lower right molar removed. The dentist had to freeze me over 10 times. The extraction went OK but a day & 1/2 after the extraction - my lower right and a bit above was very sore then my right cheek started to swell up the size of a golf ball. Went back to the dentist 5 days later - he said you have an infection - prescribed antibiotics - 2 kinds Amoxil & Metronidazole - now today the swelling has reduced 2 days later. What can I eat? and is the whole thing normal?
