I had sinus infection and got Amoxicillin for it. Had diarrhea, then a rash all over stomach, back, thighs, then yeast infection. I stopped taking the Amoxicillin and the doctor told my husband I was allergic to Penicillin.
A week later I vomited several times and had cramping (like the stomach flu) and now my forehead has broken out with an itchy ***** rash like poison oak! Could the rash be associated with the Amoxicillin or the Sinus infection?
ve experienced resolution from a sinus infection without even using antibiotics with diligent saline washes. I got rid of all that ugly green stuff with the saline washes and got rid of the sinus infection before it got out of control--all without even having to see the doctor or using antibiotics. My conservative, but early, treatment saved me from having to take antibiotics. My doctor only knew about the sinus infection after it was gone.
I've had a sinus infection for five days and have been on antibiotics (augmentin, or amoxicillin) for 2.5 days (5 doses) already and have seen no improvement. I am in so much pain and am worried about my unborn baby's health. Does anyone have experience with this? Shouldn't the antibiotics be working at least a little by now? I'm halfway through the prescription.

With reference to self medicating, I was taking amoxicillin for a sinus infection. I had a low risk exposure (protected sex) with a massage therapist the week prior to getting the sinus infection. I experienced the irritation on my penis with some mild low back pain about 2 days prior to the infection (about 7 days after the massage girl).
The back pain went away a day after taking the Amoxicillin (which would have been 3 grams). The irritation still exist, but less so.

Amoxicillin in the preferred antibiotic in dental infections. The usual adult dosage is 500 mg given every 6-8 hrly.The dosage may be increased or decreased depending on the severity of infection. If you are having a dental infection or cavity it is best to get it treated by a root canal before the problem aggravates. See a dentist.

For some reason I get an ear infection with every pregnancy, lol. I have taken this with all 3 so far and have 3 perfectly healthy kids. This is #4 and I haven't had one yet but I still have 12 weeks left to change that, lol.

I was on 875 mg of amoxicillin for respritory infection then the day i finished that I was given levaquin for a sinus infection I got while I was on the amoxicillin and now I have an ear infection with discharge and bleeding and the sinus infection is not gone? Is it possible to get all these infections one right after the other while on these anibiotics?
i feel so gross and dirty now because i think i either gave myself a bacterial infection or its a yeast infection that because of the amoxicillin or maybe its both? I have eaten yogurt yesterday and today and the smell seems a bit better than it was and the abdominal stuff has too. So bacterial infection from not showering or maybe his hands weren't clean? or yeast infection or what? and what should i do because i want this cleared up ASAP.
Friday night out of nowhere I just got attacked with sickness. I thought it was just a cold, but now I can tell it's a sinus infection. I've been taking what cold medicine I know is safe hoping it would help a little, but it doesn't seem to be helping at all. Anyone know of anything I can do to get some relief? I haven't slept well at all the last two nights and I need some rest.
It may or may not need a root canal. The amoxicillin is used to clear up a sinus infection and if the problem is solved, then it basically means the sinus was causing your pain. The teeth can feel pain or sensitive due to the closeness of the roots to the sinus. If there's no decay, then its possible there may be a fracture or some trauma has cause the pulp inside the tooth to die, resulting in pain/inflammation/irritation.
Today I took my 15 month old son to one of his regular checkups. His doctor had noticed some fluid in his left ear and said he had a small infection. I told her he had a cold and some congestion but I didn't know about his ear. She prescribed him Amoxicillin for his ear and told me something about the dosage. All I remember her saying is something about 1 tsp.
