I have called and left a message for my drs assistant. Waiting for a call back. Have any of you had to take this in this dossage?

Amoxicillin in the preferred antibiotic in dental infections. The usual adult dosage is 500 mg given every 6-8 hrly.The dosage may be increased or decreased depending on the severity of infection. If you are having a dental infection or cavity it is best to get it treated by a root canal before the problem aggravates. See a dentist.

I had to have a root canal redone as my previous dentist did not get the whole nerve and it became infected. The Dentist put me on amoxicillin 875mg twice a day, after 6 days I called him as it was having no effect. he then put me on clyndamycin 300mg twice a day, this is day two, it seemed better this morning and by this afternoon it isswelling slightly the tissue above my tooth is spongie again and I can tell it's filling with pus.

You might ask your doctor for a broad-spectrum antibiotic, also known as a 'z-pack': this usually takes care of nearly everything in just a few days.
So my LLMD has me on the following medications: Amoxicillin, Clindamycin, and Capadex (for my stomach problems). My dosage of the antibiotics are very high and I will be taking it for about 2 months. He believes I may H pyelori as well as Lymes because of my reoccurring ulcers. I am getting a more sensitive test for h Pyelori as well. I am also taking or about to Amrix for muscle pain. she had a chest xray done on thursday and showed pneumonia. She started on amoxicillin on thursday and azithromycin on friday. She had a fever again on monday night after her shower. today she felt warm to the touch but normal rectal and tympanic temp. shouldn't the fevers be gone by now because of the antibiotics? I have been able to clear and heal the wound and have been dosing him with amoxicillin. He seems to have an allergy to this antibiotic as I have discovered hes been throwing up in the basement. This is the usual drug I use to treat abscess-type infections and I want to make sure the interior infection clears up. Is there a good alternative to amoxicillin for this type of infection?
A couple of days after the occurance my friend (in medical school) gave me 3 Amoxicillin pills of 500mg. I took two one day and then another day took one. At about a week after exposure,, my friend gave me more of the same Amoxicillin 500mg pills. I took them every 8 hours until I ran out. I had 7 pills.
I am really worried about Stds. What was my risk from the exposure? Also, did the Amoxicilin do anything if I indeed had acquired an STD from that exposure? Am I at risk of HIV?
When I was on the amoxicillin it was a 10 day dosage and I took it all. Also, the augmentin was a 10 day dosage. I am still having a lot of pain and can't figure out what's going on. :(

In my opinion, the tiredness is probably related to this persistent infection and the anitbiotic.
Are you following up with an ENT Specialist and/or an Allergist for this chronic/persistent sinus infection? This problem could also be allergy-related.
If you look at the label on cough syrup for children, even those typically recommend for age 6 and up (at least the brands I have seen.)
When my 2 1/2 year old has a cold with a cough I give him milk slightly warmed with honey in it. I have also given him a teaspoon of honey on it's own. It works extremely well.
My bf was diagnosed with ngu and I want to know is taking one of the following ok for treatment .....bactrim ,keflex, or amoxicillin? Can you open a capsule with amoxicillin or ciproflaxin and mix water with it and give it to a kitty with an upper respiratory. Or can you sprinkle it on some canned food?
Ask your pharmacist if Amoxicillin interacts with any other meds you are taking. I personally have not had a problem with the antibiotic itself.
The most important thing is to ask your dentist for a painkiller without epinephrine. It can cause a rapid heartbeat and bring on an Afib episode. I am taking Norpace for Afib and it cannot be taken with Ethromycin, (or according to my pharmacist, any of the "mycins,") or Biaxin according to one of the messages on this board.
