I am currently finished with my amoxicillin dosage and hasn't seemed to change much. Basically now the cough only persists throughout the night whenever I lay down or am exposed to the cold the cough comes back.
When I was on the amoxicillin it was a 10 day dosage and I took it all. Also, the augmentin was a 10 day dosage. I am still having a lot of pain and can't figure out what's going on. :(

Additional meds have been added to treat this, Pred Forte and Prednisone taper (uveitis), Prilosec and various other pump blockers (gastritis), 20days amoxicillin (strep) 10 weeks on amoxicillin (bronchitis), singulair and dulera for asthma. These are just symptoms added to my daily BD symptoms of joint, connective tissue inflammation, various GI symptoms, extreme fatigue, memory and coordination difficulties, night sweats, ulcers, headaches and low grade fevers.
Children weighing 88 pounds and over should follow the recommended adult dose schedule. Children weighing under 88 pounds will have their dosage determined by their weight.
I’m late answering this but i was diagnosed with strep even though i suspected mono but the doctor put me on amoxicillin anyways. I had taken seven days of amoxicillin feeling the sickest i had ever felt but developed no rash so the doctor didn’t worry. After 7 days of being on amoxicillin my throat finally felt better and i did not feel sick anymore. I went to sleep that night and woke up at 5am itching and had developed a full body rash over night.
I just finished 7 days of antibiotics because I tested positive for Strep B. The high dosage of amoxicillin gave me a yeast infection and diarreah which really sucked, but it was completley safe for the baby. I'll be 11 wks this Saturday, and my Dr. told me it's nothing to be concerned about. It's not sexually transmitted or anything like that. It's like a bacteria, don't worry!!

I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. It is now Saturday, my daughter was diagnosed with strep throat Wednesday night and started amoxicillin in the urgent care, Friday afternoon she broke out in a itchy rash...mostly on her torso but some on her legs, neck, and arms. She has been on amoxicillin several times before from ear infections when she was little. The only difference with that is it is no longer pink (the amoxicillin).
So I had Strep Throat over the weekend. Seen my doctor and he put me on Amoxicillin. My strep cleared up for the most part (the white crap all over my throat). Throat is still sore and have ulcers in a few places around my mouth. Not to worried about that, what does worry me is now my gums are killing me. I cannot even tough them with a brush. No blood as of yet from them. Is this the last of the infection retreating?
I was prescribed 100mg doxy twice daily. I this a high enough dosage? I am going to an LLMD but I have read the dosages should be upwards of 300-400mg per day.

No where on the Amoxicillin bottle did it warn about messing with birth control. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend within the first couple of days of taking Amoxicillin. I had a sore throat with swollen lymph nodes and I found out I had some sort of strep beta-hemolytic bacterial infection that isn't group A, C, or G. Due to a recent oral sex encounter, I got tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia in the throat. Those swabs were done with the Aptima Combo 2 Assay and came back negative. I took azithromycin and rocephin injection as a precaution (before the swab results came back), and am currently taking Augmentin to get rid of the strep.
I have strep and I’ve been taken amoxicillin for 2 days now and I found a swollen lymph node around my ground. It’s red? Could it be the strep?
Ask your pharmacist if Amoxicillin interacts with any other meds you are taking. I personally have not had a problem with the antibiotic itself.
The most important thing is to ask your dentist for a painkiller without epinephrine. It can cause a rapid heartbeat and bring on an Afib episode. I am taking Norpace for Afib and it cannot be taken with Ethromycin, (or according to my pharmacist, any of the "mycins,") or Biaxin according to one of the messages on this board.
Day 3 on Amoxicillin. no puss and the swelling seems to be going down. Tonsils are still pretty gross looking.
Went to Little Clinic, the APRN noticed white spots on my throat, said it was likely Strep (although I had no sore throat) but that it was too soon to test, started me on Amoxicillin anyways. I felt better a day after taking them and finished the round. The next morning after finishing the amox, after taking them for almost a week, I noticed a slight rash. It ended up getting worse, started on my chest and back, and eventually spread to arms, hands, feet.
I just got done with a prescription for 875 mg of amoxicillin twice a day for 10 days. Will that cure chlamydia and gonorrhea??
