I'm in the middle of being tested for thyroid problems, after having some sore areas in the front of my neck and being diagnosed in the ER with "anterior neck phlegmon" and treated with antibiotics and steroids. After two days, they were "puzzled" because the cat scan showed inflammation, but the thyroid ultrasound showed normal looking nodules nothing more.
On Monday I went doctor since I had some fever and sore throat, he said it was tonsillitis and prescribed me Augmentin 500g (amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium) and paracetamol. Okay now I don't have fever anymore and I don't feel the pain, it's getting better so I've stoped with paracetamol. But since yesterday I've started to have diarrhea. It's painless, I just notice some sounds in my stomach and a sudden need to go wc.

I am suffering from Body pain and Strep throat . Took amoxicillin for a week and then visited Doctor he put me on azithromycin for 3 days but today is the fourth day still i feel the same.
ve now been prescribed by my ENT Amoxicillin-Clavulanate which has not improved anything over the first 5 days of taking it.
Has anyone experienced something similar or have any tips?
I went and saw a immediate care doctor who put me on Augmentin (Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium) to treat it. About 3 days later all symptoms of the STD were gone. I am not sure of the Augmentin cleared up the STD. I need to have a conversation with my boyfriend about this but I also need to know that I actually had an STD before I accuse him of giving me one. If I did have an STD there is no chance it was from anyone else and he also needs to get treated.
Take the Agumentin (amoxicillin and clav) with a full glass of water when you take it and try to have food with it. That helps with stomach issues. They do often use that dose BID, or twice a day (12 hours) but TID is also done. The issue is that teeth are close to the brain, right? Dentists do not play around when knocking out an infection. And Amoxicillin is very commonly used at higher doses now (due to resistance). The clavulanate doesn't go up, just the amoxicillin).
5 years old girl child , who is of 10 kg weight, amoxycillun and potassium clavulanate oral suspension to cure her cough and cold since 3 days. But she is now suffering from loose motion watery 5 - 6 times daily. Is it becoz of d medicine? What shud I do?
1) although not preferred, will the Augmentin regimen clear me of anything?
2) how soon could I be accurately tested for STD's?
i went to an ENT doctor and he said (after visual exam) tonsillitis in both the side. he prescribed me cefunonyme (250mg) + potassium clavulanate(125mg), levocitrizine (10mg) + montelukast (10mg) , povidone iodine gargle for 10 days course otherwise surgery is required. i have taken medicines for 4 days and 50% improvement is noticed. i am afraid of surgery, what to do in this case?
She said it’s probably still caused by a lymphnomic rumor. She’s currently on truprofin and amoxicillin trihydrate and clavulanate potassium tablets (250mg 2x daily) for one week. I can not tell yet if the swelling has gone down and am still worried that she may have a pice if split wood in her throat. Has anyone experienced anything like this and got a firm answer? My vet isn’t back for a week and waiting for the second opinion has me going crazy with worry.
I think it is folliculitis. I was prescribed by physician Amoxicillin Clavulanate 625 mg 1 tab thrice daily + Linezolid 600 mg 1 tab twice daily along with B-complex cap for 7-10 days.
I took the medication for 7 days and all the infection seemed to disappear. But after 2 weeks of finishing my medication, the infection seems to re-occur.
Please advise.
ve had bronchitis recently and just finished a coarse of amoxicillin 875mg clavulanate 125mg about Feb. 22. 2016. So I know what that is and feels like and is not anything in the same ball park as this excruciating pain in my head and down my spine.
t really understand the difference. I have just started taking an anti biotic for a sinus infection it is amoxicillin clavulanate. My family does have a history of heart attacks.

Would i have a definite discharge with ngu. Iv also take a large dose of pennicilin and also amoxicillin adn clavulanate potassium 875/125mg for the last ten days. Would this have cured if i did have ngu. its been almost 3 mos since my last oral sex and 4.5 since my last vag sex.
Later that month I got a tonsil infection (something that happens frequently to me) and I went to a different doctor to get antibiotics for it. I mentioned the ongoing UTI to her and she prescribed me Amoxicillin with Potassium. She said it should kill two birds with one stone. A few days after being on antibiotics a weird rash appeared on my penis and after a day it turned into a sore.

Clarithromycin 250mg, Augmex 625mg, and Amoxicillin 500mg Clavulanate Potassium 125 mg tablets. I had ad one stage 39.4C fever. got the medicine and was feeling 2 days later very normal.
The HIV PEP tablets, I got via the STD Doctor; (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis/Prevention): Combivir (Lamivudineand & Zidovudine), and Kaletra (lopinavir/Ritonavir) tablets.
And YES I agree, it was the risk that I undertook that makes them a risk.

At the time of my blood draw, I was four days into fighting a severe Staph infection of my right eye and was on oral Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium Tablets (875mg/125mg) BID as well as Clindamycin HCL 150 MG Capstev.
Could this combination of stress, fatigue and heavy antibiotics have effected my immune system and allowed for an elevated serum HSV-2 antibody level reading at the time of the test to raise them to a positive level?
