rash

Avatar f tn If the rash is more localized, then I would be thinking of a contact dermatitis. But for a more systemic rash, allergic reactions and even infections have to be ruled out. It is necessary to determine any circumstance or activities surrounding the onset of the rash. Exposure to heat, smoke, pets, travel or camping outdoors may be significant.
Avatar f tn Is there another rash form that immitates the nature of hives? Also having breathing limitations.
Avatar m tn I haven't had sex since January. I have never been tested for Herpes I or II, nor have I shown symptoms. I'm overweight. I was in the shower and I noticed that my stomach was itchy. I have a rash in between the skin fold. I uploaded 2 photos to my profile. I've never had this before. It's been super hot and I've been working out outside and obviously sweaty. Also, I don't have this rash anywhere else. Please help...
1415174 tn?1453243103 t want to go in. I have had a similar delayed hypersensitivity in the past and am allergic to a number of topicals. Any suggestions? I posted several photos of the progression on my home page.
457422 tn?1206203986 I'm new to this site, but it seems like a good place to start my search for an answer. For the past couple years I've had three rash-like irritations on my legs. My left leg has two smaller 1inch "rashes" while my right leg has a big, 3-inch long one! They burn and itch, and sometimes bleed. My skin is always dry and I cannot seem to find a moisturizor that helps.
Avatar m tn Sometimes its very itchy and it burns alot of the time guessing because there open wounds. Im not sure how to post a picture on this site but I do have photos of it.
Avatar n tn May just be a rash or a form of dry skin, an allergic reaction, I'd suggest going to see a family doctor or a dermatologist, he'd probally prescribe you with a cream to mend the itching and eventually take away the rash/bumps.
Avatar n tn I have had a rash that has gotten progressively worse since Feb 2009. The rash began one and a half months after moving into a new area (College Park, Md). The rash is on my neck, back, forearms and chest. It itches like crazy! Let me help by saying that it is not caused by dry skin. I have always had dry skin and I know what it feels like to itch from dry skin. The itching is worse at night and if the affected area is warm, moist, red and raised.
Avatar n tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be eczema. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl for the itching. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g.
Avatar n tn The next day he had a rash on his face, not a major one but a rash later that nigth his face got hot and sore low and behold another episode. The next day he broke out in a rash on his chest. Now he can not do anything until his blood test and urine come back. Two weeks. He is allergic to shellfish and milk. No I have not changed in routine in the house...and he sticks pretty much to the same foods. I need some insite!
Avatar m tn //www.medhelp.org/posts/show/424354), I have been able to take some closeup clear pictures since then and would like you to take another look if you would be so kind. I have left the original photos up as well as adding four new ones. I am awaiting a visit with a Dermatologist but the time between now and then is still a big stretch (public heath care has it's great points and it's bad points). http://picasaweb.google.com/northernrob1/RashBumps?
Avatar f tn I was pretty scared when I saw some photos of this rash in a book after dx. I asked Dr to check for cryoglobulinemia, as it was sited in the book as lesions related to that. He tested...I do not have cryogl... And I do not have cirrosis. I'm stage 2. Don't know if this is similar to your rash, but at any rate, stressing will only make it worse. And if it is similar to yours, I would see your hepatologist about it. Good luck.
Avatar f tn http://www.incivek.com/hcp/assess-and-manage-rash http://hepatitiscnewdrugs.blogspot.com/2010/10/skin-rash-during-chronic-hepatitis-c.html The rash can get out of control rapidly so be sure to keep a good eye on it and call the doc this weekend if possible or on Monday (and if it is already bad, he should go to the ER). Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn i have had classic allergic reactions to amoxycillin--a full-blown rash--and that is what doc said he would prescribe me at this point. a few of the other reactions i have had may have been herxes--he even mentioned that since the reactions i have had with keflex and sulfa drugs haven't been as classic as a rash. like i said, i will definitely let everyone know how things progress from this point forward. thank you, again, everyone.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm in Cambridge (UK) and I have recently bought 3 new bras from Triumph. I initially developed a red mark under my arm which made me think I was allergic to my deodorant, changed deodorant but it continued to develop from my underarm towards my shoulder in line with the edge of the bra. I also developed a really, really itchy rash on the chest band of the bra at the front. A wheal developed and it was very sore and hot.
Avatar n tn If you can get into a dermatologist while you still have the rash and mouth sores then do or if not take photos with you. That is what I did. The first doctor thought I had a problem with my circulation because the legs were so swollen and he wouldn't listen to the fact that I used a new topical steroid. So, get a doctor who listens. I know hard to do. If you can't get into a doctor take the photos and then take Benedryl. You can use calamine lotion if it is itchy.
Avatar n tn I am allergic to it. (my rash is seen in my photos if you need it). For me, the side effects are worse than TN itself for me, but others have said it's life changing. Other people have listed Trileptal (Oxcarbazepine), Neurontin (Gabepentin), Elavil (Amitriptyline) and Lyrica (Pregabalin) as some alternatives. I am currently on Lyrica + Cymbalta. I can't say that it's working but still playing with dosages.
