Allegra zyrtec claritin compare

Common Questions and Answers about Allegra zyrtec claritin compare

Avatar n tn I had the allergy tests done about 4 years ago which were reactive to mold, grass and there was minimal reaction to dogs. I tried many drugs on the market. Allegra, Claritin, Benadryl... For last 3 years Zyrtec-D was working fine, not great, but tolerable. After what happened on Monday the doctor put me on Prednisone for 5 days, so inflammation definitely goes away , but palpitations are so intense I can barely go 2 flights of stairs, forget jogging.
Avatar n tn But upon use of Clarinex, Allegra, Zyrtec, etc. I received no relief. I had a Barium swallow which showed reflux.. I was treated with 40 mg Nexium, twice a day. This did not help. Went to ENT, and took 875 mg of Augmentin for 2 weeks, with no relief! Actually, it become WORSE on the antibiotics. I then underwent an endoscopy, pH probe, and subsequent Nissen Fundoplication. The endoscopy showed a very small area of inflammation and the pH probe showed supine reflux.
Avatar n tn I'm so sorry for everyone's suffering. I understand as I've had hives now for five months. They only time they went away and I had relief was on a huge dose of prednisone. I was feeling healthy when they began back in April. I also started getting chills, shooting pains in my toes, a very sore thoat, & swollen lymph glands. I developed a sinus infection which has been treated now with an antibiotic and an antifungal (CT scan shows it's clear).
Avatar m tn Odd, considering the other 4 MRI's all have the comment. I should call and ask them to compare....which is what they should have done to begin with considering it's all the same facility, smh. I hate to get ANOTHER CT again because I have had so many scans but I suppose I have to do it. I was dx with vertigo in September however I do not have vertigo...according to a NS consultant it would be more of an instability issue. Thank as well.
Avatar n tn Check it out and I hope this helps everybody....I took a Claritin tonight and it seems to be working. After studying Zyrtec, I will probably try that next time as it seems to work faster. Thanks fbgirljj for the grass allergy tip!
Avatar n tn I feel like my body's thermostat is broken and I'm constantly overheating. I've been taking Claritin and Benadryl but that doesn't seem to help at all. My doctor also gave me a prescription medicine called Atarax, which only makes me drowsy and doesn't help the itchy feeling. Any suggestions? Btw, I've taken blood tests to see if there is anything wrong but everything came out fine.
Avatar n tn He had me on amoxicillin plus Astelin. I have tried Nasacort, Zyrtec, Claritin, Alavert, etc.... no relief. I am a computer programmer and I can't function like this anymore. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.
Avatar n tn I went to my family practitioner and he felt it was sinus related and put me on Claritin. That seemed to help, but the worst symptom would occasionally manifest itself and that was really affecting my concentration and focus at work. I decided to see an ENT surgeon and after months of trying antibiotics, antihistamines, steriods, etc... He sent me for a CT and he noticed I was really blocked up. I was so happy.
Avatar n tn I do have allergies to dust, dust mites, mold (which is bad), trees, weeds, pollens, histamine, saline, glycerine, cat/dog dander....I have been taking Allegra for years and that would keep me under control....I am seeing the Allergist next week as I have been diagnosed with Allergic Rhinitis. I am using Rhinocort nasal spray and still taking the Allegra...I was diagnosed with ETD in my left ear and in November 2007 I was sick for three weeks, got better and then got sick again after Christmas.
Avatar n tn I, like everybody else, was really interested to see that there are others out there that have this itchy-shower phenomenon. It is awful, obviously, but I might have some interesting insights to compare or contrast with others. I have very mild plaque psoriasis. I saw that a few other people posting also had this condition, so maybe there is a connection there.
Avatar n tn I was prescribed Elidel, which does help after a day or two of use with the swelling and redness Applying a THICK coat of aquaphor at night helps with the drying that comes after the original onset and helps with the wrinkles and or chaffing from itching and heating of the skin from a warm towel This time my itching starting on a Sunday night and I was a full blown mess by Monday - Tuesday. I started Benadryl and then Zyrtec Sunday night as well as the Elidel.
Avatar n tn After some CT scans, heart and blood pressure monitors, blood work, etc, they haven't found anything majorly wrong and determined it was a blocked eustacian tube and told me to take Claritin and Flonase nasal spray. I've been on that for 3 weeks and it's only partially helped. Now the dizziness/imbalance only bothers me when I am walking around alot or moving my head/neck alot. Don't feel like I'm going to pass out but it's still an unpleasant feeling.
Avatar n tn The smell is strong. I used to notice it about a half hour after taking my Allegra-D 12 hr. tablets, but now I smell it much more often. Am I going crazy or is there something to this I'm not aware of. Has anyone else experienced this? Please help?
Avatar f tn Hello, This itching after shaving can be due to contact dermatitis to the material used in shaving or due to infection of the hair follicles.Take Benadryl or Claritin and apply calamine lotion or a mild steroid cream after shaving and if the symptoms persist then you can opt for waxing or laser hair removal.A consultation of a cosmetologist will be the best in that case. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
Avatar n tn I've noticed a red bump on my inner labia! I'm totally freaking out!! I'm going to see a doctor but i was wondering if anybody out there has this!! Please help ...any advice??
Avatar m tn For relief from the crawling try an antihistime, something like Zyrtec. It gave me great relief. Still on the trail of the cure for this thing, next is to sprinkle borax on the carpets and leave for a week & repeat. Someone had success with this so it is worth a try.
