allegra zyrtec or claritin

What is better for allergies allegra or claritin? Whats stronger Loratadine or Fexofenadine?

For ladies with Allergies what are you taking or doing. Claritin just doesn't seem to be doing the job. I am a stuffy, sneezey mess with watery eyes half the time. And I need to function so Benadryl is not an option unless I am able to sleep all day.

t take Allegra anymore, nor Claritin, nor Aerius or Zyrtec. Also, no Sudafed and ones like that. He said I really shouldn't take anything with a heart arrhythmia, except to use a saline nasal spray from the pharmacy. That doesn't do much, but is better than nothing. When I get congested, my ears plug and I get dizzy. I really wish I felt I could safely take something, but am afraid to do so.

I have bad allergies which is causing the coughing and they said I can use Claritin, Zyrtec or Allegra. Claritin does absolutely nothing for me, so I asked what about Claritin D and it has been linked to birth defects--- so thats a no... I tried zyrtec and still no relief... my body is intolerant to Allegra... so I just have to suffer until baby is out and I can go back on my allergy shots (which will be after I stop BF'ing)--- the worst part about it...

Check with the doctor but he will more than likely firmly recommend Claritin and warn against Benadryl. keep us posted.

I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.

have you tried claritin or better yet asked a doctor about Allegra that medicine is AWESOME for allergies

My doctor also told me some of the newer meds (Allegra or zyrtec, can't remember which or if it was both now) was OK too. Might just ring them up and ask if you're having a hard time.

Claritin, benadryl, Allegra, and zyrtec are all safe for your entire pregnancy.

My doctor told me that zyrtec and claritin are ok but not allegra. If you perfer natural remedies, chamomile tea, vapor rub, hot chicken broth with a little cheyenne, lots of fruits and veggies-especially vitamin c. Netti pots work great for sinus problems, just make sure to use distilled water.

I take Zyrtec, Prevacid and Rhinocort Aqua (nasal spray). I hope this helps and you feel better.

Claritin zyrtec allegra dont help me. Benadryl makes me fall asleep too easily...

HI, Mar 2018 I was fine. Allergy test revealed Cedar, Elm tree allergen. I began allergy shots, for a month, afterwards I began sneezing up a storm. Developed chronic rhinitis in the process. I've also developed montly infections, non stop since Mar 2018. Was on antibiotics for 4 months straight, last year. This year Feb/March been on antibiotics Amox/Clav. Each time, I complete course of antibiotics, I begin sneezing up a storm !!

) ) I would suggest that you try Zyrtec instead of the claritin. It is a stronger medicine. My allergist says that claritin might as well be a water pill for all it does for you. It also doesn't have the drowzy side effects you mentioned with the other. Even the generic is more expensive than the others though. I would also recommend sinus rinses if you aren't doing them already.

It does sound like allergies to me. Try an antihistamine such as Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra, or Chlor-Trimeton. You can try Benedryl but it tends to cause drowsiness more than the others I mentioned.

I have tried zyrtec, allegra, claritin, etc, etc. claritin does ok. I also found that actual psuedoephedrine (the kind you have to get from the pharmacy desk) works much better than the sudafed phenylephrine. Something else I have found that amazingly works WONDERS for unclogging the most clogged sinus....I think it's called "4 way" it's a sinus spray you can buy over the counter. I got the menthol/phenylephrine kind.

Its safe to take claritin or Allegra. I personally take a claritin everyday. I have seasonal allergies and pet dander makes my eyes and face really itchy. My Dr OKed it and said its totally safe. Hope this helps.

In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.

I have seasonal allergies and was wondering the best OTC antihistamine would work better. Allegra, Zyrtec or loratadine. I was on 12.5 zoloft for 2 weeks and tapering up to 25 mg (split another 12.5 in half so 3/4 a pill then one whole 25 mg. I have to do this slowly as I am super sensitive to meds. Thanks for any help. Plus I eventually need to taper down my ativan when I level on the zoloft.

Both Allegra and Zyrtec are 24 hour medications in my area. I have known several people who took 3 Zyrtec in one day, and my allergist says that you can't really OD on antihistimines. You should be sure to drink PLENTY of water and watch for signs of constipation and dehydration. You should make sure that your dr is well aware of how much of these meds you are taking to make sure that they are ok with any other medications you maybe taking.

On yahoo answers...... (sounds good) "You've got lots of good advice here and I just had to add mine because I suffer from hives-- diagnosed as 'ideopathic urticara'- for months at a time. The best advice my dermatologist ever gave me: Don't scratch. When you scratch your cells burst and release histamines... you may find yourself swollen. I have had this condition to the point of being disfigured and in the ER being pumped full of steroids.
