Allegra with alcohol

Common Questions and Answers about Allegra with alcohol

allegra

Avatar m tn Hi, welcome to the forum, the normal IgE levels are below 100. Any level above 500 is higher and is suggestive of allergy or parasitic infection. You have known to have mildly higher levels. It can be seen in patients with urticaria or allergic dermatitis. It is usually seen secondary to exposure to allergen and subsequent reaction is mediated by IgE antibodies. Your body is known to hypersensitive to certain things.
Avatar f tn I would sit tight till they open. These are such new drugs and only your Dr can give you the green light. You don't want to risk SVR unless you know for sure. .....
Avatar n tn He has done quite well with Allegra for seasonal allergies, and even better with Zyrtec. Zyrtec is OTC but allegra is not. Both are well tolerated with Risperdal. Benaadryl is not good with Risperdal. My son, age 17, is zonked out when he takes both. He basically is out like a light and doesn't wake up in the morning (until about 12 hours later) the few times he has taken it. Not good at all. Claritin does not work for him either, nor anyone in my family.
503607 tn?1275671579 Definitely! Aerius (desloratadin) works excellent for me. Zyrtec is, in my opinion, crap and causes a lot of tachycardias. I also get annoying tremors when I suddely awake the moment I fall asleep (also caused by Zyrtec).
1711722 tn?1356487554 Knowing that Flu like symptoms were a side effect, I did get a Flu shot in August, prior to tx. Today, right now, I really feel like I am fighting off a cold or Flu. Can I take something like Nyquil but without alcohol??? Thanks. Just took the day off sick yesterday, and don't want to be out tomorrow.
Avatar m tn Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
Avatar m tn In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
Avatar f tn I read in a forum about using Allegra (an allergy med) to help the side effects. I have found that the Allegra really helps with the Zaps that occur. My problem is I don't want to take one in the afternoon, evening because they will keep me awake all night! Anybody got any night time ideas. I will not take another Paxil - I will put up with whatever licks I have to take. Any idea how long withdrawl symptoms will pop up. Do I have them all now?
Avatar f tn t had much itching anymore. I would think with the allegra you would get some type of relief. My antibodies for 1,000 when I was orginally diagnosed. I don't know what they are now but my tsh is .00 which I have been feeling fine on that. I have heard of people on Armour getting this reaction if it keeps up you might consider switching to a different thryoid med but give it a little while.
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar f tn put some alcohol and dont scratch..
Avatar n tn Loratadine is considered a placebo by many doctors (and many patients that I have talked to). Zyrtec and Allegra are good choices. Since Allegra just came OTC, it will be much more expensive the Zyrtec generic. I take Zyrtec. Take care and feel better. God bless.
Avatar f tn If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.
1402935 tn?1281958699 I tried just general Benadryl and had the same reaction. Red face hard to breath through the nose. I was recently prescribed Allegra and am nervous to take it as it looks like it has a lot of the same medication as benadryl but stronger. Are these medications the same? Avatar n tn I'd be interested to know what input you get about this. I have been having what seem to be allergy episodes -- nasal congestion, watery eyes, clear mucous -- for a day or 2, then it's gone. I don't use decongestants as I have a history of Afib, pac's & pat. My first episode, I woke up with Afib and ending up needing to be electro-converted. I am abut ready to see an allergist, as I can't identify a trigger. Is the omeprazole a proton pump inhibitor for reflux?
589762 tn?1330207135 I am almost 13 weeks pregnant and called my dr to see what i can take.... he called in a rx for Allegra for me( i have tried Claritan and this does NOT work)..... is this safe.... I know he probably would not have called it in for me if he thought that it wouldnt not be.... But i have done some research and its a class C drug during pregnancy...... any of you ladies taken allegra during pregnancy???
Avatar f tn How to deal with allergies?? What can I do what can I take I'm so congested and plugged up can't stop sneezing. I'm 15 weeks pregnant.
Avatar m tn Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.
Avatar n tn My doctor gave me some meds (steroid and Allegra). He said I had to completely give up alcohol (no way, I've got a large wine collection and I'm not giving that up!) and spicy food. Can't do that, either. Well, I suppose I could, but in all the research I've done on this, I've never read any doctor make those suggestions.
Avatar f tn I am 68 years old. I started with hives when I was seventeen. They lasted about a year. I went two years without them. I have had five outbreaks since then all very bad. I am now on allegra and zantac . I also take cytbalta and anavin for depression. Is their anything else i could try. I have had them for eight months now and it is beginning to infer with me makingplan to go anywhere. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECITE. This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
1663704 tn?1302912377 I have had fluid behind my eardrum since September 2010. My physician looked and saw fluid behind my eardrum and said it's caused from allergies or sinuses. I do have allergies and postnasal drainage. I was prescribed Flonase for 30 days, which didn't work, then prescribed a 7 day steroid medication, this didn't help either. I have tried Allegra D, Mucinex D, Mucinex, Sudafed, Sudafed PE, Afrin, etc. I am currently trying Zyrtec.
867954 tn?1356900863 m keeping it up with the Flonase and Allegra-D. My appointment with the local ENT is on Friday, where he will see if there are any blockages and what is going on. Thanks for the help!
2078979 tn?1332206668 A lot of OTC allergy meds are okay, but you should definitely double-check with your doc. I take Benadryl at night, Allegra during the day, and allergy eyedrops...walking around with red eyes these days, my allergies have definitely kicked in.
Avatar f tn Benadryl is safe.
Avatar f tn Hello, I was diagnosed with Hypothryoidism when I was 20 when I had just had my first child. I had lost all my baby weight in 1 month, and gained it all back over the next 3. My doctor (military) said that it was probably postpartum related and never tested again. He transfered and I never knew enough to ask about it once my prescription was empty. Two years and many military doctors later, after my second child was born, I found out that I still had hypothyroidism permanantly.
Avatar f tn I had the Mononucleosis Test, Qual with result as Negative and something called RPR with result as Non Reactive. I did have Mono in 1989. The reason for the EBV tests was because of my complaint of fatigue. I was told the EBV Early Antigen AB, IgG test was ok even though it was flagged as "High" because of the mono infection I had back in the late 80s. Is this correct?
