I had my first sinus infection ever in June 2010, when I was 8 months pregnant with my first child. He was born Aug 1 2010 and the fluid behind the eardrum started in the middle of Sept 2010. I went to the Dr and the left ear was slightly red and infected so I was put on a Z Pak. The infection cleared. Then in Oct 2010, nothing got better so that's when I started going to the Dr. I have used peroxide, rubbing alcohol, massage, etc.

I went on a cruise in June 2010, On the last night of the cruise I came down with a cold or virus. I have had chronic drainage and a cough ever since. I finally got a chest x-ray and the results were slight hyperinflation of the lungs. What can I do for this constant drainage, I take zyrtec daily and it is not really helping me with my allergies anymore.I am 48 and smoked when I was younger but quit 18 years ago.

Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.

Hi, i have seen here where men contract urinary track infections from oral sex as bacteria common in saliva is not common in the urethra but i you did have and infection, there should be some white discharge 2 weeks later. Gono can can be contracted by oral sex but you would have a white puss discharge around 5 days later not 2 weeks But since you have these symptoms obviously its related. These are called UTI,s which are not really considered STD.s.

NOTHING I take ( Allegra, Claritan, Zyrtec, etc.) helps at all, and I cannot take the week off (due to the fact it IS the busy time of year!) Any suggestions on what I can do???

In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.

Following a sexual encounter I had in Jan 10, 2010 I developed strange symptoms the next 2 days after. These symptoms included flu like symptoms, diarrhea, nausea, nocturia and a chronic cough. s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad. Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! I am here to help. And it's never too late for you. I've had bulimia, I've had anorexia, and I've had both at the same time. I don't have anorexia or bulimia anymore. I've seen more therapists than I can count. I've been sent, against my will, to lots of inpatient programs for months at a time. I had almost no contact with my family during my stays. I am 5 ft 7 in. and weigh 120. I have not thrown-up at all in 2009. I exercise daily.

Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.

Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!

Loratadine is considered a placebo by many doctors (and many patients that I have talked to). Zyrtec and Allegra are good choices. Since Allegra just came OTC, it will be much more expensive the Zyrtec generic. I take Zyrtec. Take care and feel better. God bless.

Hi Dr.: My 14 years old daughter 5'9" only weight 102lbs,she rapidly drop 30 lbs last year and she doesn't want gain any weight now.She has many anorexia symptom but she eats 3 health meals everyday(no fat).Her anorexia became after her right elbow injury 2 years ago(still didn't recovry yet).She deny has anorexia that's mean she refuse to see doctor. what can I help her?Is she anorexic?
