I was taking Omincef for an ear infection and had an allergic reaction to it. Had horrible swelling in my hands & feet. My Drs office is closed until monday so I called the Pharmacist we has all my RX's on file and she advised me to take a Benedryl as she didnt want it to worsen as I had been on the antobiotc a few days. Now I had alreeady taken .75 xanax & allegra. She had said take it anyway if anything you will feel tired.

My doctors office hasn't opened and my allergies are horrible today. Does anyone know if I can take Allegra with Harvoni?

I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.

They don't always drug test you. I believe by law they have to notify you if they are going to because you have the right to refuse.

It's possible. After working in a pharmacy for 2 years, I've learned a lot about doctors, pain pills, and the prescription process of these medications. Doctors can without notice, refuse to prescribe anything, or drop patients.

Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.

Hi, I am 18 years old and I just came back from Costa Rica about 5 days ago when I realized my breasts and back were extremely itchy. I went to take a shower later that day and i noticed small flat bright pink dots COVERING my boobs. Like I said, I just got back from Costa Rica so it was hard to notice the dots on my arms and lower abdomine bc i was so tan but believe me, I could feel them and it bright light I could also see them.

In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.

Feburary 16th I woke up with a extremely painful earache and lost my ability to hear in my left ear. I went to a walk in clinic the following day for the Doctor to briefly look into my ear and said it was "buldging" she sent me home with Doxycycline and OTC Allegra and told me to come back in 3 days if there was no improvement.

s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad. Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.

I just returned home, after a regular check-up with my family physician. A new rule has been implemented at my doctor's office, that MAY be a new law here in Virginia. I am not quite sure. Let me know if your doctor's office is now doing this.... Now, anyone taking a pain medication that requires a new written prescription every 30 days (with no refills, like Vicodan, Morphine, etc.), must have a once a month, urine drug test.

Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!

Loratadine is considered a placebo by many doctors (and many patients that I have talked to). Zyrtec and Allegra are good choices. Since Allegra just came OTC, it will be much more expensive the Zyrtec generic. I take Zyrtec. Take care and feel better. God bless.

Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.

Benadryl is safe.

I tried just general Benadryl and had the same reaction. Red face hard to breath through the nose. I was recently prescribed Allegra and am nervous to take it as it looks like it has a lot of the same medication as benadryl but stronger. Are these medications the same? Claritin zyrtec allegra dont help me. Benadryl makes me fall asleep too easily...

I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.

I am almost 13 weeks pregnant and called my dr to see what i can take.... he called in a rx for Allegra for me( i have tried Claritan and this does NOT work)..... is this safe.... I know he probably would not have called it in for me if he thought that it wouldnt not be.... But i have done some research and its a class C drug during pregnancy...... any of you ladies taken allegra during pregnancy???

My oldest son is on Risperdal,as well as three other meds. He has done quite well with Allegra for seasonal allergies, and even better with Zyrtec. Zyrtec is OTC but allegra is not. Both are well tolerated with Risperdal. Benaadryl is not good with Risperdal. My son, age 17, is zonked out when he takes both. He basically is out like a light and doesn't wake up in the morning (until about 12 hours later) the few times he has taken it. Not good at all.

I'd be interested to know what input you get about this. I have been having what seem to be allergy episodes -- nasal congestion, watery eyes, clear mucous -- for a day or 2, then it's gone. I don't use decongestants as I have a history of Afib, pac's & pat. My first episode, I woke up with Afib and ending up needing to be electro-converted. I am abut ready to see an allergist, as I can't identify a trigger. Is the omeprazole a proton pump inhibitor for reflux?

I use zyertec and benadryl. My doctor has said they are both safe. Check with your doctor they should have an approved list of meds you can take.

But itchiness hasnt subsided (feels like something is biting me) and lab results came back normal. Today I called my docs office and I was told I can take benadryl for the itching. My question is have any of you moms taken benadryl and baby was fine?

Following a sexual encounter I had in Jan 10, 2010 I developed strange symptoms the next 2 days after. These symptoms included flu like symptoms, diarrhea, nausea, nocturia and a chronic cough. After 2 weeks, I went to the doc. I was given azithromycin and a shot (don't know what). I was given a full panel STD test which came back low positive 1.54 for HSV2. I subsequently went to a local testing center on Feb 15 and had another full STD test where everything came back negative.

I asked my current Doctor's office to fax me a copy of my physical exam results. Two years ago they did this and so have my previous doctor's. The administrator said by law they have to charge me $2.00 for the copy and I have to be present to pick it up. Please let me know where this law is printed?
