Common Questions and Answers about Allegra in music

allegra

Avatar f tn Yes! I have been taking Allegra and it is really helping.
Avatar m tn Allegra doesn't cause hypothyroidism. I myself take it and have for a while. In fact Allegra is the only allergy medication that I can take.
Avatar m tn In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
Avatar f tn I have quit Paxil cold-turkey 7 days ago. I read in a forum about using Allegra (an allergy med) to help the side effects. I have found that the Allegra really helps with the Zaps that occur. My problem is I don't want to take one in the afternoon, evening because they will keep me awake all night! Anybody got any night time ideas. I will not take another Paxil - I will put up with whatever licks I have to take. Any idea how long withdrawl symptoms will pop up. Do I have them all now?
Avatar m tn Both Allegra and Zyrtec are 24 hour medications in my area. I have known several people who took 3 Zyrtec in one day, and my allergist says that you can't really OD on antihistimines. You should be sure to drink PLENTY of water and watch for signs of constipation and dehydration. You should make sure that your dr is well aware of how much of these meds you are taking to make sure that they are ok with any other medications you maybe taking.
Avatar f tn Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn Loratadine is considered a placebo by many doctors (and many patients that I have talked to). Zyrtec and Allegra are good choices. Since Allegra just came OTC, it will be much more expensive the Zyrtec generic. I take Zyrtec. Take care and feel better. God bless.
Avatar m tn Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.
Avatar f tn I would sit tight till they open. These are such new drugs and only your Dr can give you the green light. You don't want to risk SVR unless you know for sure. .....
1402935 tn?1281958699 I tried just general Benadryl and had the same reaction. Red face hard to breath through the nose. I was recently prescribed Allegra and am nervous to take it as it looks like it has a lot of the same medication as benadryl but stronger. Are these medications the same? This discussion is related to Post-Nasal cough?.
Avatar f tn I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.
589762 tn?1330207135 I am almost 13 weeks pregnant and called my dr to see what i can take.... he called in a rx for Allegra for me( i have tried Claritan and this does NOT work)..... is this safe.... I know he probably would not have called it in for me if he thought that it wouldnt not be.... But i have done some research and its a class C drug during pregnancy...... any of you ladies taken allegra during pregnancy???
Avatar m tn Now coming to your question, 35% of patients get totally free of the symptoms in one year. In other 30% symptoms will reduce. Rest of the pateints it continues. But you need to take necessary precautions. I suggest you to consult to a skin specialist/ immunologist for further steps of management. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn I would like to know what would be a good allergy medicine that can be taken with risperdal. I have given my son benadryal in the past and he would become calm but since the risperdal he gets very hyper and stays up all night. My son has seasonal allergies. I have given him claritin and it does not work. Thank you for any advice you can give.
Avatar n tn I'd be interested to know what input you get about this. I have been having what seem to be allergy episodes -- nasal congestion, watery eyes, clear mucous -- for a day or 2, then it's gone. I don't use decongestants as I have a history of Afib, pac's & pat. My first episode, I woke up with Afib and ending up needing to be electro-converted. I am abut ready to see an allergist, as I can't identify a trigger. Is the omeprazole a proton pump inhibitor for reflux?
Avatar f tn Benadryl is safe.
Avatar f tn I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.
2078979 tn?1332206668 My doctor told me that zyrtec and claritin are ok but not allegra. If you perfer natural remedies, chamomile tea, vapor rub, hot chicken broth with a little cheyenne, lots of fruits and veggies-especially vitamin c. Netti pots work great for sinus problems, just make sure to use distilled water.
Avatar f tn I use zyertec and benadryl. My doctor has said they are both safe. Check with your doctor they should have an approved list of meds you can take.
Avatar m tn After 2 months of this, I suddenly experienced fullness on my right ear, sounded as if I was in an airplane, thought I had cold. I never had any ear problem, ear pain whatsoever since i was a kid before this. I am 28 now. This ear fullness went away within a day and did not return until 6 months later. I came back to Canada at this point. 6 months later my first ear full ness issue, it came back and it stayed for 3 to 4 days.
Avatar f tn I did have Mono in 1989. The reason for the EBV tests was because of my complaint of fatigue. I was told the EBV Early Antigen AB, IgG test was ok even though it was flagged as "High" because of the mono infection I had back in the late 80s. Is this correct?
Avatar f tn Np :) it's in my pamphlet from my first pregnancy and i live on allegra because of allergies so i understand :)
2032869 tn?1333989114 Now I have two kids at home... My mom took care of my son when I had my daughter.. This time I'm hope n my mother-in-law will help take care of my 2 year old and my six year old.... My mom hasn't been really supportive and a little negative with this pregnancy plus she's been in and out hospital... So that's why it will mean soo much too me if my husband is there with me during labor... I don't know what I would have done without his love and support...
7808984 tn?1406680965 Just wondering what kind of music everyone finds comfort in and maybe songs that u rely on 2 get u through the good days and the bad ones !!!
398059 tn?1447945633 Michelleric mentioned not too long ago that she was thinking about entering a study that had something to do with improving gait in MSers by walking to music. I just remember she would get to keep the iPod at the end of the study. Wonder if she did it?
371980 tn?1276740809 Sorry Peeps, I like Country...I do like R.E.M Oasis, LifeHouse and things like that. I'm old I can't that crazy stuff and I don't like really old music. I'm caught in the middle or maybe I'm lost in the middle.
6109773 tn?1381071043 Another thing I wanted to warn you about.... Make sure you don't have any pills in hiding places, other purses, travel bag etc. Do that now while you are resolute and regretful because in two days you may not be as strong. Also be careful of is "freak accidents" . You would not believe how many people I have seen on here who get 5-10 days in and boom they are in a slip and fall or they step in front of a softball, fall down some steps etc.
