Avatar f tn I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.
11803947 tn?1430842645 I have really severe allergies and benadryl is not doing it for me. Today I woke up with a bloody nose. My eyes are so itchy and watery. My throat hurts a lot and etc ... I dont like taking anything while pregnant but I can't handle this anymore. Any natural remedies ?
Avatar f tn For ladies with Allergies what are you taking or doing. Claritin just doesn't seem to be doing the job. I am a stuffy, sneezey mess with watery eyes half the time. And I need to function so Benadryl is not an option unless I am able to sleep all day.
Avatar f tn Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn J's Nose Drops works wonders for me and it even gets rid of any sinus infections that I may have. There is also another product called "Allermac" by Jernigan Nutraceuticals. Dr. David & Sara Jernigan's formulas work very well for me... they are even curing lyme disease without the use of antibiotics ! I recently purchased the Allermac and its working great.
Avatar f tn I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.
Avatar f tn Also would Alegra help with my rash and itching or is that just for sneezing, stuffy nose and stuff like that? Also my cat is an outside cat but she hangs out on the front porch right outside my air conditioner in the living room and I am wondering if some of those allergens could be coming in the house? My itching did not start till we got the dogs tho.
Avatar n tn Try another allergy med. You could just simply be allergic to allegra!
Avatar m tn I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
Avatar f tn I had allergies really bad at the begging of my pregnancy i got allegra d 24 hours and it helped out allot and my baby girl is healthy as can be
Avatar f tn I use zyertec and benadryl. My doctor has said they are both safe. Check with your doctor they should have an approved list of meds you can take.
Avatar n tn My oldest son is on Risperdal,as well as three other meds. He has done quite well with Allegra for seasonal allergies, and even better with Zyrtec. Zyrtec is OTC but allegra is not. Both are well tolerated with Risperdal. Benaadryl is not good with Risperdal. My son, age 17, is zonked out when he takes both. He basically is out like a light and doesn't wake up in the morning (until about 12 hours later) the few times he has taken it. Not good at all.
Avatar f tn ve been taking benadryl since day 1 because I read it was safe somewhere that it was safe during pregnancy. I usually take it for allergies or to sleep. It is not everyday, though more frequently lately. I am worried though because I just had a friend tell me it's only safe after the 1st trimester. Is that true? Does anyone know?
1232362 tn?1333135406 My kitties are strictly indoor but when the weather allows i open the birdie window for fresh air and they sit by it to watch the birdies so whatever's blowing around out there that might irritate them would blow right on it. I'll try keeping that window shut..I don't remember her getting allergies before, but I guess their bodies change over time, too. And we do plan to get her to vet for unrelated matter as soon as we have money-thanks for the advice & info!
Avatar f tn The first step should be for you, to the best of your ability, to avoid all allergens or reduce your exposure to all allergens to which you may, on the basis of experience or allergy testing, be allergic to. That would include both indoor and outdoor allergens and the concentration of the latter may be reduced with air-conditioning.
Avatar f tn I have seasonal allergies and was wondering the best OTC antihistamine would work better. Allegra, Zyrtec or loratadine. I was on 12.5 zoloft for 2 weeks and tapering up to 25 mg (split another 12.5 in half so 3/4 a pill then one whole 25 mg. I have to do this slowly as I am super sensitive to meds. Thanks for any help. Plus I eventually need to taper down my ativan when I level on the zoloft.
Avatar n tn What is better for allergies allegra or claritin? Whats stronger Loratadine or Fexofenadine?
1949068 tn?1449628519 This is my second prescription of antibiotics. Cause the first one did not work. Which was Zithromax. I do have allergies (including indoor allergies--dust, mites,etc.)--which I take Allegra daily. I do have an appointment to see my doctor on Aug. 7th, I can't wait that long! I called the triage nurse she told me to come in. I don't want any more drugs!!!! I want them to do test--detailed ones at that! I never had a fever in my life that lingered like this.
Avatar f tn I'm about giving up. I cannot breath. Can I take zyrtec, claritin or allegra.
Avatar n tn t take a deep breath (I can) and if I do activity where I exert myself...I actually have no problems with the lungs. Is this normal for allergies??????? I am new to this whole seasonal allergy thing. Should I go back to my doctor for help? She did say 8 months ago there was nothing to do except take OTC medication and keep my house clean.
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
