Allegra for headaches

Common Questions and Answers about Allegra for headaches

allegra

Avatar m tn I would try some OTC allergy meds like Claritin or Allegra. If you can afford to (sort of pricey at $20 for a 2 week supply) I would get Claritin-D or Allegra-D. They have an antihistamine as well as a decongestant. You have to get them from a pharmacist (behind the counter) and show your ID. I take Claritin-D daily for the same symptoms you have. I get bad headaches at night and my nose gets stuffed, with sneezing and runny eyes.
Avatar f tn Is anyone else having hormone headaches? I have had daily headaches for over a week and my OB said they are Very normal. Tylenol is not helping has anyone found something pregnancy safe that works?

Avatar f tn if I do I will have a sinus infection within one week or less. I have been on Allegra D all year round for about 4-5 years. Also just in the past 7 months I have been experiencing an awful metallic/chemical smell in my sinus, once in awhile, some days I do not smell it. Pharmacist is assuming it is from Metformin, yes it started after taking them, but I would assume it would be more often then what I smell; the “PATIENT EDUCATION INFORMATION” says you may taste like metallic.
Avatar m tn Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
Avatar f tn i was having headaches so i went to my regular doctor who gave me some allegra for my nose, but now i have dizziness & feel like i'm going to pass out! my heart feels like it's skipping then it goes away. i am able to work(produce mgr), but should i be concerned about it being serious. my next pet scan is not until january!
Avatar m tn i take zyrtec, allegra and alervert all day every day as my doctor told me for my hives .some days its real bad and others are very good. ive had no effects from the mixture.
Avatar f tn s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad. Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! Thanks for all you help and input..
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar f tn Try Flonase every night before bed and take Claritin or Allegra in morning everyday. It worked for me if I go a day without it I get pain. I don't get headaches anymore.
Avatar n tn What is better for allergies allegra or claritin? Whats stronger Loratadine or Fexofenadine?
Avatar f tn The nurse called me at 9 am and said Allegra was having difficulty focusing. I made an eye appt for 2 pm. At noon the nurse called and said that Allegra was hysterical screaming that she could not see. By the time I got to the school, she was better. We went to the eye doctor and she diagnosed an occular migraine. I took her home and went to work.
Avatar f tn Pred helped briefly, but after weens off, pressure builds up again. Tried sinus irrigations daily, allergy meds ( singulair, claritin, flonase, nasonex, allegra). He does not think this is allergy-related (he never gets congestion, sneezing, post-nasal drip, ect. Hx of exercised-induced asthma (no asthma problems otherwise). No sig. med hx. Alt. approaches tried(no help) He's left the state to deduct any environmental allergies/causes.
Avatar m tn I work in retail and this is a horrible time for me, as I am extrememly allergic to Easter Lillies, After about 5 minutes in the store, I cannot talk above a whisper, my throat feels sore, and like it is going to cloe, I have headaches, I cough and I start to wheeze. NOTHING I take ( Allegra, Claritan, Zyrtec, etc.) helps at all, and I cannot take the week off (due to the fact it IS the busy time of year!) Any suggestions on what I can do???
Avatar n tn My 3 year old is already taking allegra, flovent and now tagament twice a day. Along with battling what some have said are hives. She has scratched herself till she has scabs on many parts of her body. She has a special lotion, hypo allergenic shampoo, free and clear everything else that I can find. I am almost ready to pull out my hair because it seems that no one can give me a straight answer. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Avatar m tn Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.
Avatar f tn For pretty much the past 6 or 7 years, I constantly break out in hives whenever I touch anything. It could be that I sit on a chair and get hives on my thighs or open the fridge and get hives on my hands. I've gone to a dermatolagist several times, but even after a scratch test and everything, we've found no reasons for my random breakouts. I'm currently on Allegra and have been for years. I've tried claritin, zyrtec, etc. I need to know what ttis is and how to stop it!
Avatar f tn Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.
Avatar f tn I would sit tight till they open. These are such new drugs and only your Dr can give you the green light. You don't want to risk SVR unless you know for sure. .....
1402935 tn?1281958699 I tried just general Benadryl and had the same reaction. Red face hard to breath through the nose. I was recently prescribed Allegra and am nervous to take it as it looks like it has a lot of the same medication as benadryl but stronger. Are these medications the same? This discussion is related to Post-Nasal cough?.
Avatar f tn Its safe to take claritin or Allegra. I personally take a claritin everyday. I have seasonal allergies and pet dander makes my eyes and face really itchy. My Dr OKed it and said its totally safe. Hope this helps.

Avatar n tn My son (14 yrs old, 6'2, 155 lbs) has had chronic, DAILY headaches for almost 4 years. They seem to have started after he landed on his chin in a bicycling accident. All MRI's,CAT scans, Blood tests, echochardiogram, spinal tap and neurological exams are normal. He has been to the following specialists: He is on his THIRD neurologist, tmj specialist, chriopractor, (3) physical therapists, rheumotologist, opthamologist, ENT, tried biofeedback, OBI dentistist.
Avatar f tn I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.
Avatar n tn My oldest son is on Risperdal,as well as three other meds. He has done quite well with Allegra for seasonal allergies, and even better with Zyrtec. Zyrtec is OTC but allegra is not. Both are well tolerated with Risperdal. Benaadryl is not good with Risperdal. My son, age 17, is zonked out when he takes both. He basically is out like a light and doesn't wake up in the morning (until about 12 hours later) the few times he has taken it. Not good at all.
