Allegra d and headaches

Common Questions and Answers about Allegra d and headaches

allegra

Avatar m tn If you can afford to (sort of pricey at $20 for a 2 week supply) I would get Claritin-D or Allegra-D. They have an antihistamine as well as a decongestant. You have to get them from a pharmacist (behind the counter) and show your ID. I take Claritin-D daily for the same symptoms you have. I get bad headaches at night and my nose gets stuffed, with sneezing and runny eyes. Since starting Claritin-D, I no longer have that problem unless it wears off before I go to bed.
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar f tn Question is what do you think can be done and what I can do about stopping Allegra D; if I do I will have a sinus infection within one week or less. I have been on Allegra D all year round for about 4-5 years. Also just in the past 7 months I have been experiencing an awful metallic/chemical smell in my sinus, once in awhile, some days I do not smell it.
Avatar m tn Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
Avatar f tn I take Allegra D for sinus and Bultalbital (prescribed) for the headaches, but it barely takes the edge off. Been dealing with this for years... hopefully the ENT will have some answers I can share. Good luck to you all!
Avatar f tn Benadryl is safe.
Avatar m tn Allegra D the one that is two colors tan and white will do that....I read it somwhere but can't remember where.
Avatar f tn My dr today told me to treat my sinuses when I get headaches and Tylenol doesn't work. She said try claritin and if that doesn't work then Allegra. She said all the extra fluid that we accumulate during pregnancy pools into free space such as the sinuses. I'm gonna try it.
Avatar f tn My doctor actually told me that allegra was fine to take as long as its the regular kind not allerga D. But I didn't take it all of the time... N my baby is perfectly healthy, benadryl is good to take too.U should ask ur doctor n see what ur comfortable taking Bcus everyone is different.
Avatar f tn I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.
Avatar n tn I'd be interested to know what input you get about this. I have been having what seem to be allergy episodes -- nasal congestion, watery eyes, clear mucous -- for a day or 2, then it's gone. I don't use decongestants as I have a history of Afib, pac's & pat. My first episode, I woke up with Afib and ending up needing to be electro-converted. I am abut ready to see an allergist, as I can't identify a trigger. Is the omeprazole a proton pump inhibitor for reflux?
11803947 tn?1430842645 That doesn't do anything to me ;/ I was on high dose with allegra, zyrtec, atarax, and a few others and the sprays before pregnant. Over the counter med doesn't help but thank god today got better after the bloody nose.
Avatar f tn My Dr told me I can continue to take my allegra. And im now 24 weeks and my little man is just fine.
Avatar f tn My midwife said to watch out for meds with a d in the name (ie allegra d, claritan d, etc) but that most without the d are okay to use on occasion.
Avatar f tn Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra and Benadryl... nothing that has D at the end of it though...
Avatar n tn My son also has similar symptoms to the previous post. He was treated for a sinus infection early Sept. , then had immunizations T-DAP, then on Allegra-D for allergies, right after taking the allegra-d he had a dry cough and his trroat felt "funny" ticklish thenhard to swallow 1st night. Day2---Then next morning woke up itchy and had what looked like scratches on his shoulder, by mid-day he called from school and said his eyelids were swollen and his chest hurt.
Avatar f tn We went to the eye doctor and she diagnosed an occular migraine. I took her home and went to work. At 7 pm my son phoned and said he was taking Allegra to the DEM she was having difficulty breathing and her head was tilted backwards and her eyes were rolled up in her head. The DEM treated her for an adverse reaction to the Haldol and released her. Suggestions?
Avatar n tn imitrex, tylenol with codeine, celexa, flexeril, doxepin, trazadone, naproxen, allegra D, prozac, lidocaine patch, fludrocortisone, mobic, inderal, migranol, zomisamide, effexor, lortab, singular. Trey is now on: singular, nortripytline (for sleep, makes him edgy?), fludrocortisone, loratadine, depakote. Trey is currently seeing an osteopath/physical therapist who says his tissues are reacting positively to her treatments. A lot of the pain seems to be in his over-charged nerves.
345124 tn?1234483278 i did go into a walkin clinic so thats how i got that diagnosis. i was prescribed a combination of nasonex and clarinex, then a round of allegra d. the first two meds seemed to help, but i wonder if it was possible a desperate kind of placebo effect. the allegra d sent me into panic attacks, which i assume was because the pseudoephedrine in it, so i stopped taking it and of course now my symptoms are back. any input? please?
Dog by the time I got to read your reply I had already purchased a product suggested by live chat pharmacist Ronda R...she said Allegra D or Claritin D(generic) and local Walgreens sold my wife Wal-itin D........contacted my Dr. and he also stated the same as you 'I would suggest not taking pseudoephedrine with metoprolol. It could elevate her heart rate. Loratadine by itself would be fine.
Avatar m tn Also do these basic blood tests Vitamin D. Vitamin B12 and Ferritin. Out of these Vitamin D or 25-hydroxy Vitamin D3 test is very essential as over 90% of hypothyroid people are usually low on this.
Avatar n tn My oldest son is on Risperdal,as well as three other meds. He has done quite well with Allegra for seasonal allergies, and even better with Zyrtec. Zyrtec is OTC but allegra is not. Both are well tolerated with Risperdal. Benaadryl is not good with Risperdal. My son, age 17, is zonked out when he takes both. He basically is out like a light and doesn't wake up in the morning (until about 12 hours later) the few times he has taken it. Not good at all.
Avatar f tn 11 years ago, pre-eclampsia during last 8 weeks with BP ranging 135/99 to 147/131, headaches and protein in urine. On bed rest, diuretic meds and lots of testing, bp kept getting higher, so delivered by c-section 1 week early. Returning home, my BP returned to normal... and below normal. Pregnant the 2nd time, 4 years ago... BP ran mostly low , 110/70 became my new normal. (I delivered 4 weeks early this time but because baby decided it was time.) One week post-partum...
Avatar f tn I recently developed a cough that contains a bright green mucous. I was diagnosed with a sinus infectiona couple weeks ago and prescribed doxycyline and a z pack. I started feeling better so I stopped taking the antibiotic. I then began to develop fluid in my ears and a stuffy nose. I took a decongestant and stopped taking my daily allegra. I seemed to feel better for a few.days. I've never had a fever or headache with any of this.
Avatar n tn I to suffer from constant sinus pressure and I am taking allegra D, Astelin nasal spray and singulair. These medications work wonders but if I miss a dose I suffer terribly and it puts me out of work. After many years of having several ear and sinus issues my doctor decided to do testing I was finally diagnosed with vertigo and eustastion tube disfunction with severe allergies which can cause severe sinus pressure and other issues This is why I am on three differant medicines.
