Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
Based at South East Asia. Was playing on a friend’s drums set, played till one finger blistered, continue to play, then blister broke (1–1.5cm diameter)
Friend do not have pets, but he does feed strays, any chance he left some infected rabies saliva on the drums that went into my open blister wound?
I guess I play drums roughly 2–2.5 hours after him. If there is rabid saliva on the drum set, will it be safe after a few hours?
Do I need to get a rabies vaccine booster?
In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad.
Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! Thanks for all you help and input..
Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
My vet has advised me that my dogs ear drums are ruptured. Nike (the dog) has had ear infections from 9 weeks on, seems they just never go away. I finally needed answers and the vet was surprised to see that the ear drums were ruptured. He told me Surgery will be the last result for Nike. He told me to wash his ears with Alcohol and Vinegar daily to see what results we get. Will his ear drums heal? Is this solution safe with ruptured ear drums? Please I need answers.
When i joined the Army in 1998, they told me that i had scar tissue on my ear drums from when i used to get ear infections as a kid. I didnt think much of it then, until my ear drums started rupturing in first about 10 ft. of water, then 8, and now i'm scared to swim in 6 ft.

Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks.

Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.
Benadryl is safe.
I would sit tight till they open. These are such new drugs and only your Dr can give you the green light. You don't want to risk SVR unless you know for sure.

The majority of my day is spent liufting 100 lb bags, tipping over 200 lb drum, or hand scooping materials from drums which causes me to bend over at the waist inorder to collect material from the bottom of the drums which are waist high. I weigh raw materials fur pharmaceutical product manufacturing. I also do alot of pulling and tugging of materials.
I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.
My oldest son is on Risperdal,as well as three other meds. He has done quite well with Allegra for seasonal allergies, and even better with Zyrtec. Zyrtec is OTC but allegra is not. Both are well tolerated with Risperdal. Benaadryl is not good with Risperdal. My son, age 17, is zonked out when he takes both. He basically is out like a light and doesn't wake up in the morning (until about 12 hours later) the few times he has taken it. Not good at all.
I'd be interested to know what input you get about this. I have been having what seem to be allergy episodes -- nasal congestion, watery eyes, clear mucous -- for a day or 2, then it's gone. I don't use decongestants as I have a history of Afib, pac's & pat. My first episode, I woke up with Afib and ending up needing to be electro-converted. I am abut ready to see an allergist, as I can't identify a trigger. Is the omeprazole a proton pump inhibitor for reflux?
I use zyertec and benadryl. My doctor has said they are both safe. Check with your doctor they should have an approved list of meds you can take.
