The next morning I awoke with a sore throat. I thought it was just a cold or allergies so I took some allegra d and since my throat has cleared up a little bit. But since second day after intercourse I feel a mild occasional itch on my genital area or on my scrotum, not on the penis. I'm also feeling a little more fatigued than usual and have sore lower muscles below my belly button but above my hips on my right and left sides.
Mouth or throat cancer is a very fast and aggressive illness. If it was producing symptoms like sore throat and you hadn't been treated for it for over a year...you would be very very very ill if not dead! Don't worry bout it. Go see the doc and explain your fears and say you'd like some sort of diagnosis. Have you considered TMJ? It's fairly common and linked to stress and grinding teeth in sleep. Ask your dentist or doc to check it out.
Been doing lots of hot tea and I love it. Just wish it lasted longer for soothing! Thansk for the suggestions!
I was prescribed to Tramadol for chronic back pain recently. My first prescription was 100 50mg pills, and I was told to take 2 twice daily. When the prescription ran out, I thought the pain in my back might have disappeared. A week later it came back full force, so I asked my doctor for more Tramadol. He prescribed me to another prescription, this time 120, with the same directions.
Hot tea with honey and lemon, salt water gargle, throat lozenges, Tylenol, Vick's are all fine. Maybe check with your doc if the sore throat doesn't improve within a few days- they may want to check for strep. Feel better!
So the day after I posted this I started having tons if drainage and actually came down with a very very sore throat, went to the doctor Friday morning and she looked in my throat and was like "wow its really red" so she said I had tonsillitis it looked like and she put me on amoxicillian for 10 days and she also gave me some prednicorizone (sp?) to help kick the cough off too....
Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Hey ...i am 35 weeks ...my prblm is i have got throat infection from three days back ....and i thought it is due to some cold ....it will go off soon .....bt now i noticed that its not a common one ....its something severely infected that if i move my tongue its feeling like very sore n painful too ...sometimes i onserved that little blood is coming wen i am spitting .....plus i have got skin allergic rashes on my stomach for that i am taking antihistamine tablets (allegra).....
Were 5weeks and I am now sick. It hit me yesterday. Stuffy nose turned into a runny nose. Woke up with a sore throat, sneezing, runny nose, headache, some nosy aches. Our weather has changed drastically where I live and I have allergies and get sick at the drop of a hat, but now that I'm pregnant, I can't just take medicine like normal.
My question is, what medicine can I take while pregnant to get rid of this sickness.
Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
I work in retail and this is a horrible time for me, as I am extrememly allergic to Easter Lillies, After about 5 minutes in the store, I cannot talk above a whisper, my throat feels sore, and like it is going to cloe, I have headaches, I cough and I start to wheeze. NOTHING I take ( Allegra, Claritan, Zyrtec, etc.) helps at all, and I cannot take the week off (due to the fact it IS the busy time of year!) Any suggestions on what I can do???
I am a 31 year old male that has had a sore throat for over 2 months. My tonsils are swollen and it appears to be white patches (kind of similar to strep throat although not as painful) in the very back of the throat behind the tonsils. My doctor diagnosed me with allergic rhinitis and my ENT diagnosed me with acid reflux. I am currently taking 20mg 2x per day of Omeprazole. The ENT stated that it would take up to 3 months of taking the medication to see any change in the throat.
like Claritin D or Allegra D...always buy the generic versions of those to help save you money, because they are quite expensive for a month's supply. If that medicine doesn't help, or you have those other symptoms I mentioned, you may have a sinus infection and require an antibiotic to cure it! Good luck!
A few months ago, I got some hyper symptoms from being on too much Synthroid. Mostly heart palps and anxiety. My endo took me off Synthroid for a few weeks and then started me at 25mcg. A few weeks later, my TSH was at 6 so he put me on 50mcg two weeks ago. Two nights ago, I had a night of insomnia and anxiety but I've been find since then except for a feeling of sore throat/throat tightness. Anyone know what's going on? Is this just a symptom of having my dose increased?
I have bad allergies which is causing the coughing and they said I can use Claritin, Zyrtec or Allegra. Claritin does absolutely nothing for me, so I asked what about Claritin D and it has been linked to birth defects--- so thats a no... I tried zyrtec and still no relief... my body is intolerant to Allegra... so I just have to suffer until baby is out and I can go back on my allergy shots (which will be after I stop BF'ing)--- the worst part about it...
Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.
Mine has lasted for over 2 months now, I clear my throat all the time, my throat is sore from so much clearing. I have a Doctors Appt. next week. Mine also does not wake me up at night, I love to go to sleep, because that is the only time it doesnt bother me. I see you posted in April, any improvement for you yet? Any adivce?
With all these doctors, they have me on an antibiotic, steroids (short term), prilosec twice daily, zantac once daily, omnaris nasal spray, and allegra d. I haven't had any changes in my wheezing though. Anybody have any ideas? I have an appointment to go to an ENT in a couple of weeks, but the allergist says they usually can find the same problems as them. It's difficult to talk too much because of the lack of air coming in to my throat area. Any ideas anyone?
I had allergy tests and have been on Allegra and a nasal spray....no relief. It appears that all of a sudden my throat is dry and has a "catch" in it and I start coughing and then water pours out of my eyes and tons of mucous pours out of my mouth. I am at my wits end because it takes all my energy from me, leaves me with a headache and my throat is getting sore. It seems to me that something else is going on other than the asthma, allergies. I have a titanium plate in my neck.
