Hy ladys i need help Im having a girl and Im still not sure about the name i like Vanessa but i want a second name that might go with it --- or any suggestions on a girl name thanks

My midwife said to watch out for meds with a d in the name (ie allegra d, claritan d, etc) but that most without the d are okay to use on occasion.

Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.

I know exactly what you mean about someone stealing your baby name. I lost a baby girl 5 years ago and everyone knew I was naming her Briel. My EX-SISTER-IN-LAW gave the name to her son to name his daughter (who is now 4 1/2 ) I was pissed, but i'm over it now. I still don't talk to her though. I usually take Allegra at night for allergies but I picked up generic Claritin at the dollar general and took it last night. I woke up twice during the night with diarrhea. In the am I was nauseous and achy but went to work where I started to feel so dizzy i almost blacked out several times then threw up. After that I felt a bit better but still not 100%. Could this be a reaction to the Claritin? I've taken it before but not in a long time. Thank you!

I take Allegra manufactured by Aventis Canada Inc., Laval, Quebec. I don't know what the brand name in the US - it could be the same as Canada ... anyhow, I don't have any problems with it ...

In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.

Hi These are the list of medicines that i had taken during my stay in hospital 29th sept to 2nd of october(Inj Raz, Inj Voveran, Inj Emset, tab Aziresp, Tab Oflin, tab Allegra, Tab Enteroquinol, tab Ridol, i/v fluids and other supportive treatment) We did unprotected sex on 8th or 9th of october and 23rd sept was the date of last period I got conceived ? I want to know above medicines will effect on my pregnancy.

my body is intolerant to Allegra... so I just have to suffer until baby is out and I can go back on my allergy shots (which will be after I stop BF'ing)--- the worst part about it...

s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad. Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.

Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!

Loratadine is considered a placebo by many doctors (and many patients that I have talked to). Zyrtec and Allegra are good choices. Since Allegra just came OTC, it will be much more expensive the Zyrtec generic. I take Zyrtec. Take care and feel better. God bless.

Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.

Red marks on my arms, legs, feet, small welts also. Doctor prescribed Allegra,cetrizine, azee, rantac for 5 days. Also recommended use of soap Cetrelak. Marks have gone, but itching still continuing & spreading. What can I do?

Benadryl is safe.

I would sit tight till they open. These are such new drugs and only your Dr can give you the green light. You don't want to risk SVR unless you know for sure. .....

I tried just general Benadryl and had the same reaction. Red face hard to breath through the nose. I was recently prescribed Allegra and am nervous to take it as it looks like it has a lot of the same medication as benadryl but stronger. Are these medications the same? I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.

I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.
