Allegra and sleeplessness

Common Questions and Answers about Allegra and sleeplessness

allegra

Avatar f tn My Dr told me I can continue to take my allegra. And im now 24 weeks and my little man is just fine.
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar n tn My oldest son is on Risperdal,as well as three other meds. He has done quite well with Allegra for seasonal allergies, and even better with Zyrtec. Zyrtec is OTC but allegra is not. Both are well tolerated with Risperdal. Benaadryl is not good with Risperdal. My son, age 17, is zonked out when he takes both. He basically is out like a light and doesn't wake up in the morning (until about 12 hours later) the few times he has taken it. Not good at all.
Avatar f tn My 3yo son does not sleep but maybe 3-4hrs a night if that and his Dr which I disagree with says he will grow out of it I am worried and I think its a problem. He also has other strange things that he does like line all of a certin toy in a row, or scream for no reason, will not eat meat at all. He always walks on his tippy toes and he has a major speech delay. There other numerous things that he does that are not normal but I have listed these for now. Please Help!
Avatar m tn Hello! Let me tell you from experience this is TOTALLY normal. As a matter of fact...it's 3 AM and I'm awake because of my anxiety right now. I have developed a routine before bedtime now which really seems to help me. I lay in bed, get on my computer, and play a few games of cards. I go to bed when I start to feel tired. The cards help keep my mind off the anxiety and relaxes me. If this doesn't work I take a warm relaxing bath before bedtime and read.
Avatar f tn I think most of us know perfectly how you feel. I'm almost 32 weeks and can't remember last time I actually slept good. Tonight it took me 2 hours to fall asleep then I woke up 2 hours ago to pee and needless to say I'm exhausted eyes heavy and burning but all I've accomplished is a lot of tossing and turning and even done woke my husband up twice.
221913 tn?1372276661 However, as these few weeks have passed I have some nights where I do get some sleep. And I have not been getting any exercise at all and keep telling myself to get moving because it might help, but haven't been able to do it yet. No answers but lots of sympathy. Best wishes for some sleep soon.
Avatar f tn s 240 am and I am bright eyes and wide awake, although I should be exhausted from working open to close all weekend and then being called in on my day off yesterday. Sometimes I find it helps to fall asleep on the couch first. I toss and turn a lot in bed and find it's easier to stay in one position on the couch. I sometimes read old textbooks too, or I read a book that I can't quite get into, because reading tires me out now.
Avatar f tn Im finding it very hard and disturbing to sleep at night. I find myself waking up at 1am everynight no matter what time i go to sleep. Any good sleep positions or remedies for sleep at night? I have to wake up at 7am on the weekdays and im always so tired in the morning's now due to constantly waking up at night...
453255 tn?1205792176 Yes, the medications I take for my allergies and asthma daily are: allegra (24 hour), singulair, alvesco, oxeeze, rhinocort, sometimes ventolin, and sometimes benedril.
Avatar f tn s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad. Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! Thanks for all you help and input..
Avatar n tn Loratadine is considered a placebo by many doctors (and many patients that I have talked to). Zyrtec and Allegra are good choices. Since Allegra just came OTC, it will be much more expensive the Zyrtec generic. I take Zyrtec. Take care and feel better. God bless.
Avatar f tn I am dying of a 48 hour allergy attack! Clarita does NOT help and the only thing that did before my pregnancy was Allegra.. I am 24.5 weeks along, could I get away with a dose?
Avatar m tn Allegra D the one that is two colors tan and white will do that....I read it somwhere but can't remember where.

1402935 tn?1281958699 I tried just general Benadryl and had the same reaction. Red face hard to breath through the nose. I was recently prescribed Allegra and am nervous to take it as it looks like it has a lot of the same medication as benadryl but stronger. Are these medications the same? This discussion is related to Post-Nasal cough?.
Avatar f tn Ah, relief !
Avatar f tn Benadryl is safe.
Avatar f tn Decongestant nasal sprays work great-talk to your doc about which ones are safe & won't conflict with meds you are already on.
Avatar f tn I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.
Avatar f tn I've been having nightmares for days and waking up crying and sweating. I can't sleep at night, so I end up going to bed around 3am and waking up around noon. I'm on vacations now so it doesn't actually affect my daily schedule, but I feel I don't seize the day waking up so late. Any natural alternatives to sleeping pills? I'm not very fond of sleeping drugs...
