allegra

453255 tn?1205792176 Yes, the medications I take for my allergies and asthma daily are: allegra (24 hour), singulair, alvesco, oxeeze, rhinocort, sometimes ventolin, and sometimes benedril.
Avatar f tn I take a lot of medication. Singulair, Advair, Flonase, and Allegra. When I get a sinus headache I also take Allegra D. I started getting allergy shots too. Im allergic to mold too. Have someone clean it or remove it if possible (within your financial means).Wear a mask when you have to be around it. All of this is extreme and a lot of work. I am a mother of two, my sweetheart works 7 days a week, I don't have much help either.
Avatar f tn This forum is not a substitute for a medical examination, but you may have asthma. Asthma causes your airways to spasm causing breathing problems and could be triggered by cold weather. You may also consider getting tested for allergies, as the trigger for your breathing problems.
Avatar f tn Two ideas hear are Neutrophilic asthma and bronchiecstasis. Neutrophilic asthma has many causes, but they can check biopsies from the scope for a high neutrophil level and then treat from there. Bronchiecstais is really a pretty common form of lung damage that can allow for the collection of fluid which then becomes infected. That can be diagnosed by a chest CT scan, but the bronchoscopy is necessary to determine if you have infection from the condition.
Avatar n tn I went on a cruise in June 2010, On the last night of the cruise I came down with a cold or virus. I have had chronic drainage and a cough ever since. I finally got a chest x-ray and the results were slight hyperinflation of the lungs. What can I do for this constant drainage, I take zyrtec daily and it is not really helping me with my allergies anymore.I am 48 and smoked when I was younger but quit 18 years ago.
Avatar f tn I have been getting treatment for asthma for over three years now....neublizer w/xopenex...flomax, advair, asthmanex, to name a few...I am still coughing like crazy. I had allergy tests and have been on Allegra and a nasal spray....no relief. It appears that all of a sudden my throat is dry and has a "catch" in it and I start coughing and then water pours out of my eyes and tons of mucous pours out of my mouth.
Avatar f tn My doctor thought it was food, so I have been on a liquid diet but the reactions still occur. I take allegra with zantac, singular, and do breathing treatments throughout the day yet the attacks still come. They can last up to 2.5 hours. A few attacks resulted in an epi pen and hospital visit. Please help.........any ideas?
Avatar f tn Is this all normal in a child with asthma? I have friends who have children with asthma and their xrays all generally look fine. Whereas ours do not. Can cuffing and atelectasis cause long term damage? How long does it take for this to clear up? What causes scar tissue? Is it normal to have pneumonia as frequently as he does?
Avatar n tn When I read the info that went with it and looked up info on line it said something about interacting with asthma meds and meds for the urinary tract. I have asthma and take flovent and xopenex I also have interstitial cystitis so therefore I take Elmiron. I have no idea if the doctor read my list of meds or not. But I do not want to take this if there is going to be an interaction. I also take thyroid meds-- armour and have endometriosis so I will take Advil and Tylenol for the pain from endo.
Avatar f tn But ended up with conjunctivitis in mid Feb, chronic diahrea in mid march along with asthma. April had been difficult with asthma, environmental allergies and food allergies. Ige serum went from 1370 in Feb to 1554 now in April. I don't know what to think anymore.
Avatar n tn constant phlegm in my throat, and my vocal chords seem to be affected. The doctor says it is allergies and has me on Allegra. That helped a whole bunch for months, but now it is back even worse, even though I am still on Allegra. I tried Nasonex too...I have a cough too and I feel like a good antibiotic would clear it all up, but the doctor says no. I just want to feel better . Some of these entries are old...why not write again and tell us what you did to get relief.
Avatar m tn I have taken samples of Allegra D and it works like a charm, but I keep reading that I must have Asthma... My grandmother has Asthma so I usually ask every time I see a doctor if I do as well but EVERY time they have said I do not... Can someone PLEASE help me? I really want to know exactly what it is...
Avatar f tn My Dr has recommended I try singualr along with Allegra and flonase. He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?
Avatar f tn Hi, the other causes for long term cough besides asthma are GERD and post nasal drip from allergies. GERD is gastro esophageal reflux disease where the stomach acids come back into the esophagus and spill into the windpipe causing cough. Treatment with antacids will help neutralize the acids. Post nasal drips can occur with sinusitis and throat infections. Giving up cigarettes will abolish smoker's cough in 90% of people.
Avatar n tn I always wondered why I could remove everything from my diet and didnt use perfumes and still get acne and nothing took it away. That was why. My allergist and dermatologist told me to go 3 days without allergy med, then when I went in I was itchy and she saw my scars and recognised what I had. She told me she had it too and only about 5% of the population has it.
Avatar f tn 1) KEEP the dog out of your bedroom. We put a baby gate up in our door way when we got the puppy. I knew I was allergic to dogs and had just been diagnosed with asthma. Keeping the dog away from me was a priority. The dog rarely comes past our daughter's door. He is now 10. 2) Wash your hands well after handling the dog. 3) Vacuum and clean regularly. Bathing the dog often will help keep pollen off of his coat from bothering, but really does little for true dog allergy.
1580703 tn?1651904887 To control asthma, you must control ALL asthma triggers like allergies, reflux, chemical and particulate irritants... Stress is a known trigger of asthma as well. You need to find a way not to dwell on your health so much and relax. Work with good doctors and they will eventually get you back to good health. It may take a long time (3+ years for me), but it is possible. Also, pulmonary function tests can be a little miss leading. The numbers are based on 'norms'.
Avatar f tn My Dr told me I can continue to take my allegra. And im now 24 weeks and my little man is just fine.
Avatar m tn I work with pulmonary doctor who sees me for asthma and I use Advair 500/50 along with Allegra D and Singulair and I do regular sinus rinses. I was also sent to see a sinus specialist at University of Iowa who removed a large polyp from left Maxillary. I was hoping after the surgery the symptoms would clear. The surgery was completed in 8/2011 and I've had two flare up since that time. I've been tested for allergies 4 times and the only allergen is cut grass.
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.

Avatar f tn My daughter takes singulair every night and still has asthma and allergies flare ups. Veramyst nasal spray works best for me and nasonex is ok. I don't know which antihistamine medicine works best, I've tried them all too and they all have a side effect,.
Avatar n tn My (3rd) family doctor want me to see a pulmonologist but I swear its not my lungs. I have been told, bronchitis, reactive airway disease and asthma but nothing for sure just "possibly". I will give you the run down.. symptoms runny nose, watery/itchy eyes, sore throat, ear pain, horrible pressure on my palette, constant swallowing and a cough that is now considered chronic that is productive of clear phlegm and is formed in tiny balls/maggots?
