Common Questions and Answers about Allegra airlines

allegra

172023 tn?1334672284 A huge relief for pet people everywhere, the introduction of this much-needed airline will help reduce the number of pets injured, lost (and worse) on airlines and our big dogs now have alternatives. Currently, any pet too big to sleep under the cabin seat must be shipped as cargo (and are likely treated accordingly). And pet cargo travel is not even available when outside temperatures are below 45 or above 85 degrees.
Avatar f tn Can this be done? I want to give birth back home, which is a 4 hour flight from where I live now. I have read that airlines have the 36 week policy for a "no complications" pregnancy but in reality what would I be getting myself into if I tried to pull off that stunt having an enormous belly?
682506 tn?1226666703 Airline may not let you on the plane at that point. call the airlines...they have cutoffs for pregnant women; they don't want you to have a baby on the plane. It's questionable at 36/37 weeks...your OB will give you a better idea and it depends on what issues you may be having if any. Some don't want you leaving the area after 36 weeks. They will probably tell you if you can travel to drink a lot of water and move around a lot, to prevent a blood clot and/or swelling.

Besides my fiance cant afford it and im not payin his way, ive paid all of our bills lately with my unemployment(which aint much). Any ideas about where i can find cheapest tickets, or where i begin? Should i contact travel agent or do it myself?
Avatar f tn No it is not safe
Avatar m tn Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
Avatar f tn With drs permission yes but ask the airline first bc some airlines do not allow pregnant women in their third trimester on their planes.
Avatar f tn Just had to go through this. 99% of airlines need a doctor approval of great health after 26 weeks.
Avatar f tn I just got back from a trip and I'm 30 weeks. Doc told me that airlines are generally happy for pregnant ladies to fly up to 30 weeks - after that you need clearance and also depends on length of flight.
Avatar f tn About the plane... I've heard that most airlines wont let u fly in ur last trimester just in case u go into labor... u can call nd ask than maybe ask ur doc if its ok.
Avatar n tn Every pregnancy is different, so you might want to check with your doctor- but when I was about 30 weeks I moved from CO to PA- so about 1500 miles in the car and that was ok. I did stop and take walks often. Flying is a bit different as the airlines have policies, so I would check on that with your doctor and the airlines.
Avatar m tn In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
Avatar n tn s best to check with individual airlines as they have different policies on how far into the pregnancy you can travel.
Avatar f tn from what i've heard, after 28 weeks many airlines demand a letter of consent from your doctor - stating that you're not having a high risk pregnancy and it's safe for you to fly. After 36 weeks most airlines wont let you fly.
Avatar f tn No most airlines won't let you on a plane after 35 weeks I'm sorry hun
Avatar f tn You can fly up until 34 weeks with most airlines. After 28 weeks, some airlines require a doctor's note to confirm that you are having a normal pregnancy and to confirm your due date. I just flew back from Africa (to Canada) with British airways at 28 weeks and I didn't need to show my note, but was glad to have it in case they asked. I'm not so huge looking so they couldn't tell how far I was, I guess.
Avatar f tn I thought airlines got pretty funny about it after 32 weeks or so? I personally wouldn't do 8hrs that far on just in case.
Avatar f tn s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad. Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! Thanks for all you help and input..
Avatar f tn Talk with your doc.
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar f tn I am due to fly at 33 and 35 weeks...there's no danger to baby, just airlines want a doctor's note in case you go in to labour in the sky, but very unlikely at 27 weeks if you are having a normal pregnancy - just as much chance as on the ground!
Avatar f tn I think you can fly with certain airlines until 28 weeks.. and since your flight is not long, it shouldnt be a problem. I was 22 weeks pregnant and I took a 22hr long flight. ..
Avatar f tn Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn Loratadine is considered a placebo by many doctors (and many patients that I have talked to). Zyrtec and Allegra are good choices. Since Allegra just came OTC, it will be much more expensive the Zyrtec generic. I take Zyrtec. Take care and feel better. God bless.
