Avatar m tn In a biochemical assay, GS-461203 inhibited the polymerase activity of the recombinant NS5B from HCV genotypes 1b, 2a, 3a and 4a with IC50 values ranging from 0.7 to 2.6 M. GS-461203 is neither an inhibitor of human DNA and RNA polymerases nor an inhibitor of mitochondrial RNA polymerase. Antiviral Activity In HCV replicon assays, the EC50 values of ledipasvir against full-length replicons from genotypes 1a and 1b were 0.031 nM and 0.004 nM, respectively.
Avatar m tn HBV replicating cells were treated with different dosages of Flavocoxid to determine the drug inhibitory concentrations (IC50). Treatment with Flavocoxid or ETV or with drugs combination started 3 hours after transfection and was renewed every other day for 5 days. Total HBV replicative intermediates, viral transcripts and cccDNA levels were evaluated in untreated and treated HepG2 cells by quantitative real-time PCR, Southern and Northern blots experiments.
9633935 tn?1411342802 This did not the doctor think was something to worry about. How do I read the response/values and what should I look for? Where isthe limit values? What does 12 mean? How much does that values effekt my body? The doctor say something like: that was high and something else, i cant remember was maby litle to low an that was not good he sad. What was low? And what does that affekt?
Avatar n tn My husband has been recently diagnosed with Type 2. We were given little education beyond "take this pill twice a day". I have been checking his blood sugars about twice a week. Once fasting (he is now running about 100-110) and 2 hours post meals (now running about 130-139). My question is, should I be checking him more often? 1 hour post meals, as opposed to 2 hours?
Avatar n tn My question concerns cholesterol values. My wife is 56 yo. She has high a cholesterol value, but very high HDL's. Specifically: TC 285 Trigly 63 HDL 82 LDL 190 Chol/HDL 3.5 To complicate matters, she does have a 2nd risk fa, in that she has had elevated BP readings in the past,(during a period of stress) for which Lisinopril had brought it down to 110/70. In fact, we are weaning her from it currently. Thus, that's only "sort of" a risk factor.
Avatar m tn As a non-American - what is the accepted present range of normal TSH-values in untreated patients? And - what is accepted as a non-pathological level for anti-TPO?
Avatar m tn I had a lot of trouble finding out what J1, J3 etc really meant. I finally found an online PDF article from "INSIGHT The Journal of the American Society of Ophthalmic Registered Nurses, Inc.", October-December 2004, which says (paraphrased) that: J1means you can read 4 point type, J2 is 5 point, J3 is 6 point, and J5 is 8 point. You can search the web for "Rosenbaum pocket eye chart" and see one device that measures J values at a distance of 14 inches.
Avatar n tn I would like to know the normal values for TSH tests. Mine was 4.69 ---- should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn s making phone calls to her daughters to say goodby and while she is normally very melodramatic, given the lab values, we are wondering if this is truly the end. She is 90 years old. I think in our minds, we know she doesn't have much time, but she has cried wolf so many times that we don't know how to respond. Any advise?
1037184 tn?1252781679 I am negative for both and would like to remain so. The lab values on his HSV 2 test were quite high. My question is do your lab values fluctuate or go up when my partner is in an outbreak? An example of what I am asking would be similar to a case where someone has some sort of bacterial infection and their white count goes up.
Avatar m tn I'm not able to find any charts regarding Daily Values of Vitamins, Calcium, Iron, ect. Are they somewhere buried in the food diary or do they not exist yet? If they don't exist, please implement them. I'm trying to get enough iron in my diet to pull myself out of anemia, so it would be great to know these things.
1765684 tn?1333819168 I see people posting values that I can't figure out... Or I can't figure out my own... 3 weeks ago it was 107 with a reference range of 123 - 157. I think that was at week 5. I see values posted of 9, 10, etc. being 'low'. How low is mine in comparison? I'm assuming it's a different unit of measurement since I'm in Canada.
Avatar n tn Also things like high stress, diseases, vitamin D, B12 deficiency etc also can affect Free T3 values.
Avatar m tn efficacy ratio (CC50:IC50), which is sufficient for clinical development in HBV. “We have almost three decades worth of experience in cyclosporine chemistry. Drawing upon this experience in structure-activity relationships, we have learned that relatively small and selective changes to the chemical structure of the cyclosporine backbone can have very dramatic consequences in pharmacology,” commented Dr. Foster.
1084115 tn?1385228589 In a biochemical assay, telaprevir inhibited the proteolytic activity of the recombinant HCV NS3 protease domain with an IC50 value of 10 nM." http://www.rxlist.com/incivek-drug/clinical-pharmacology.htm Ribavirin: 2012 Mode of action Hypotheses include: *ribovarin monophosphate inhibits inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase which results in decreased synthesis of guanosine triphosphate (GTP).
Avatar f tn Two compounds, proparacaine and chlorophyllide, were shown to reduce HBV levels 4- to 6-fold with an IC50 of 1 and 1.5 lM, respectively, and were selected for further study.
Avatar m tn The actual values are irrelevant. They will always fluctuate every time you take a test. As long as the values remain below the cut off for a reactive (+) test, then you're good to go. Your tests are negative. You don't need anymore tests.
Avatar f tn I spoke with my insurance company yesterday (and sent out a huge mental thank you to the company for which I work for having such great benefits) because I still have an appt with another endo this coming week. I hadn't decided whether or not to cancel and wanted to find out if insurance would cover a repeat endo visit if I went. They do--including any tests she wants to run. So I'm going to go.
Avatar m tn My question is, are there any specific lab values that represent ascites and if the “causes” of ascites specifically are getting better? I understand the cirrhosis is the cause but are there certain LAB values that represent or can be used to judge ascites and see if the TIPS will perhaps work again?
Avatar n tn I AM 42 YEARS MALE WORKING AT A CHEMICAL LAB HAVING HIGH VALUES OF SGPT - 74 (RANGE UPTO 65), LOW ON TAKING UDILIV 300 TWICE FOR LAST SIX MONTHS, BUT AFTER STOPPING SGPT VALE INCREASE , WHEN TAKING THE MEDICINE THE VALUE WITHIN THE LIMIT, TESTS FOR CERELLOGLOBIN, HEPATITIS A,B,C NEGATIVE, TAKING TAB TONACT-TG FOR CHOLETEROL & TRIGLYCERIDE , FATTY LIVER ALREADT DETECTED IN USG.
