Avatar f tn It is supposed to help greatly with heart function and energy, I have heard. Does anyone here take it or any professionals have opinions on this? Thanks.
1243333 tn?1296446902 Hi I'm a 51 year old female diagnosed with extensive premature coronary heart disease (11 Stents), anemia, gerd and high blood pressure 2 1/1 years ago, I'm on numerous bp meds and even so my bp is extremely high (240/140 last Doc appointment), they have termed it malignant, at the last doc appointment she told me I'm going to have a stroke and possible another heart attack, I have repeatedly told all my doc's that I am having major issue with the meds they make me physically il
Avatar m tn for someone who had a risk, 3 months is considered "conclusive". with that being said...it is HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHLY unlikely that a 10 week negative will change at the 3 month mark.
Avatar n tn s usually not too expensive and you can be seen within days. For something like your eyes, this is a good investment believe me. In the US, you can see whoever you want......but believe me also when I tell you the bills are scary. Even with insurance! Don't hate on the NHS just yet. Get down to Moorefields if you're that worried and see someone privately.
Avatar m tn thanks teak even if you can see some flesh there.... i know i really should not be worried as it is the nhs and my hospital but i cannot help my phobia....
Avatar f tn Hi all, I decided to join because I was diagnosed with ME over 20 yrs ago which usually relapsed and remitted. For the last 4 years the ME has worsened and I also now have the additional diagnosis of Fybromyalgia too. I am now on LDN which I have managed to get prescribed by my specialist and GP via a NHS prescription, it appears to be helping me. Is anyone else is taking this?
Avatar m tn The National Poisons Information Service does not accept enquiries from the public but supports NHS Direct and NHS24 to answer such queries. www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk - 0845 4647 www.nhs24.
Avatar n tn However, I am very unsure as to what to expect and what to ask for. As it is on the NHS I feel rude to suggest the size etc I would be happy with but I want to be sure the bone is concealed well, else there would be no point in the operation. Has anyone had similar issues or had any cosmetic procedures on the NHS?

Avatar m tn I have heard two weeks quoted, and even 3 weeks. I am now past the 5th day and was thinking could I consider getting till the end of this week with no news as me being in the all clear? All advice welcome, even just of your experiences at this or any other nhs clinic.
572651 tn?1530999357 I was searching for other medical information and found this article on nursingtimes, a UK organization about their funding crisis. They will be short 15 billion pounds next fiscal year - perhaps that helps to explain why our UK members have such a hard time seeing doctors and getting diagnosed? I thought perhaps some of our members would like to read a bit of what's going on over the pond. http://www.nursingtimes.
Avatar f tn The NHS diagnostic centre charge £10 for a copy of images and the report. However if I go private the the NHS consultant I am due to see in two months, then he will have access to them anyway I think. But I will get them, in case I need them.
Avatar f tn hi i have been under the specialist since i was found to have hearing problems at the age of 4, i have had 9 operations including three sets of gromits placed in my ears and my hearing is super for a while then i decreases, for the past two years i have had a constant ear infection which passes from each ear, they leak wax, runny and clear and sometimes yellow and on more and more occasions my eyes are starting to bleed.
Avatar n tn I was unconcerned about the chances of HIV until I was told about fake condoms being used in some areas. I had a test at an NHS gum clinic at just over 6 weeks after which came back negative. I am unsure however if I need further testing as I dont know what type of test was used. Can I take this result at conclusive? What is the standard NHS test used?

Avatar f tn I'm from Scotland 24yrs old 30weeks with second girl and I am thankful for the NHS sometimes we really take it for granted.
Avatar f tn Oh goodness, Gheko! Your history is sooooo much like mine. I went down the private neuro route too. Sadly, the NHS totally ignored a top UK specialist's opinion and even rewrote (on paper, in black and white) it to support and validate their own mistakes. (Wholly despicable and unlawful, but there we are....) Unfortunately, I couldn't become a patient of private specialist in his NHS practice because he was too far away. MS has been mentioned and ruled out in my case - thankfully.
Avatar f tn Hi I am new to this site and my first round of ivf failed I paid for private but cant afford another go nhs is my only option.
Avatar f tn s a list on the nhs website - Internet search group strep b nhs and you should find it.
Avatar f tn My 3 year old daughter is constantly suffering from a soar throat with white ulcers and painful ears along with a fever. This has been going on for just over a year and we take her to doctors on average twice a month. Each time we are told that there is nothing wrong and that we are imagining the symptoms eventhough they never examine her. She now has started to get thrush in her mouth as she is so run down.
Avatar f tn Is a blood glucose level of 6.3 half an hour or so after eating and a blood pressure of 139/82 / heart rate 99 with white coat syndrome good?
20844330 tn?1532599608 I work for the North East London NHS Foundation Trust as a senior research assistant and also a PhD student at UCL (University College London). We have been in touch with the moderators who have granted us the use of MedHelp forums to recruit participants who may be interested in our research. All help will be much appreciated as we look for those with and without mental health problems and can be employed, unemployed or retired.
Avatar m tn so I want to seek another similar organization that could also provide HIV test besides NHS,but can give the result faster than NHS, do any British friends know about "Better2know"??? Is it qualified to offer HIV test as a private clinic? Is it authoried by UK government?
